Rating: Summary: could have been better... Review: Honestly, I was thinking of putting this book down numerous times, but I just didn't want to do homework. The beginning was confusing. I had no idea what was going on and how they came to know each other because from the descriptions given when they saw each other, I was given the impression that they had never met before and it was instant attraction. Apparently, they were already married. For J.G., it wasn't her best. There were just too many things going on at the same time. What with her almost getting raped, the abduction of the twins, Victoria and Hunter's romance, Lucas' hatred for Caulder, Malcolm, William, Callahagn. It was all very distracting. The final scene was very anticlimatic because after all the suspense of wondering what her BAD, BAD uncle would do, it was over in a second. And the issue between Lucas and Caulder never did get resolved. It was just too messy. Unlike with her more organized books, such as The Bride and The Wedding, the extra events only seemed to clutter up the story instead of enhancing it.
Rating: Summary: Had great potential, but not a great Julie Garwood Book! Review: I adore Julie Garwood books normally... Since this was one of the last ones I haven't read, I was certainly trying to enjoy it. The characters were all full of potentials with Lucas's dark past, Taylor's fearful childhood, Hunter's interesting background and friendship with Lucas, and a whole cast of other interesting characters who Lucas and Taylor met along the way of their story. However, it didn't all come together like the other Julie Garwood books. The story and scenes seemed fragmented and several things were not well explained in the book. The unresolved business with Lucas past still felt unresolved at the end of the book. There were no climax in the story as to how Lucas and Taylor resolved their relationship. I felt the story had a lot of potential, but never fully explored. I wanted to love Lucas and Taylor, but didn't quite get there. Well, I am just going to have to wait for another Garwood book to match the Prize, Ransom, Secret, Bride... etc.
Rating: Summary: This book definitely deserve 5 stars Review: I am an avid reader of Garwood and i really, truly believe this is one of her best. No matter how other people rates it, Prince Charming is a great read. It has the tenderness and wit of Julie Garwood at her finest. Through this novel, she managed to draw up the ideal man living up to the very character of a true prince charming. Lucas Ross will undoubtedly steal your heart along with exploits of the heroine, Taylor Stapleton. The plot is wonderfully told with an excellent progression of events. The best thing that i like about this book is that it has a wonderful mix of humor and sensuality. Trust me, you'll read this one again and again.
Rating: Summary: Loved it Review: I fell in love with Lucas and Hunter
Rating: Summary: A Great Read Review: I found this book to be wonderful. I loved the plot and the character development. I've read other Garwood books, and intend to buy even more!
Rating: Summary: The Most Charming Novel Review: I gotta say that I love this book very much. This novel and The Lion's Lady are my most favourite novel and I can't choose between this two. I love Christina and Lyon, & Taylor and Lucas entirely too much. I love Julie's work very much. Thanks Julie.
Rating: Summary: A definite charmer! Review: I have always been drawn to Julie Garwood's work. Her writing holds your attention from the first page to the last. This story is definitely no exception. The women in her novels are all strong and independent unlike other romance authors. Taylor is a suberb example. The story is filled with adventure and romance from cover to cover. You find yourself laughing out load and wanting to cry at the sad parts. If you want to try one of Julie Garwood's books. This is one of the very best of all!
Rating: Summary: how could you not love it? Review: i have been a fan of julie garwood since i haphazardly picked up "the bride" and fell in love with her optimistic and romantic writting. This is one of my favorite book by mrs. garwood. This story of an heriess, taylor, hell bent on saving her two nieces in america and Lucas, a rugged man from the american frontier just as hell bent on saving taylor. Their marriage was one of convience to help taylor gain access to her inheirtance and get her to america but the love that developes between the two characters is heartwarming. I love garwood's heroes as the reluctantly chivalrous men trying their damnest not to be drawn to garwood's heriones. I love taylor's spunk and determination. Though she is naively innocent she can wield a gun with the best of them. Little oddities like that are what always make garwood's work so much fun to read. i definitely enjoyed this book. i couldn't stop reading it which is always a good sign in my opinion. try it out and be ready to be a fan:)
Rating: Summary: A Garwood Favorite Review: I have read all of Ms. Garwood's books. PRINCE CHARMING is a great story and for those who like a little western in their romances, this one is perfect. I loved the hero Lucas and Taylor was delightful as the heroine who follows him to Montana. Garwood has a unique writing style that doesn't disappoint in this one. She easily shows her flare for being able to diversify location settings within the same book, added to that is the building tension between Lucas and Taylor and you have an enjoyable read.
Rating: Summary: Blah, I don't believe I read that Review: I haven't read a more corny romance in so long! It was absolutely horrid... dont bother! I couldn't even like the characters... let alone care for what happened in their lives. I think this was the first book I couldn't even finish.
