Rating: Summary: Tuck Everlasting Review: This book focuses on two main families, he Fosters and the Tucks. The Fosters are a wealthy family whom live in a town called Tree Gap Forest and own much of the town as well. The Fosters have one daughter whom they smother with strictness named Winifred, better known as Winnie Foster. Winnie is constantly wondering around the front yard of her house to break away from her stern home environment. One night, while in the front yard, she meets a strange man in a yellow suit and quickly finds herself engaged in conversation. Her mother quickly becomes suspicious of this unknown man and calls Winnie inside. Soon after Winnie appears to be missing and the Fosters blame the man in the yellow suit. Meanwhile, Winnie has rebelled from her parents wishes and ventured into the woods beside their home. This is the first time Jesse Tuck is introduced in the book. He was drinking from a small fountain of water when he suddenly notices Winnie's presence. Jesse panics and carries Winnie deep into the forest to the Tucks home where Angus, Mae, Miles and Jesse live. Here she is told the secret of the spring and she slowly finds herself falling for Jesse Tuck. The Fosters find that the man in the yellow suit was looking for a certain family (the Tucks) and he thinks he can help find Winnie. The strange man goes into the woods for two reasons, to find Winnie and the fountain of youth. The strange man goes to the Tucks and find Winnie. When he tries to take her away, Mae Tuck shoots the peculiar man and is taken to jail. Winnie returns back home to her parents. One night Jesse climbs through Winnie's window and tells her that she needs to help get Mae Tuck out of jail because they are going to try and hang her and their secret will be revealed because Mae will not die. Winnie distracts the police long enough for the Tucks to escape but Jesse makes Winnie a promise that he will return when it is safe, for her. The main theme that is expressed throughout this book is not fearing death, but rather fearing the unlived life.
Rating: Summary: Tuck Everlasting is boring Review: Tuck Everlasting is such a boring book. We had to read it in class for a novel study and everyone hated it. It doesn't make any sense and the author made it too detailed so it got real boring real fast.
Rating: Summary: Tuck Everlasting Review: Tuck Everlasting is a wonderful story. It is about a girl named Winnie Foster. She runs away from home because her family watches every move she makes. She wanted adventure. She meets the Tuck family. They have found a spring where if you drink the water, you can live forever. Jesse Tuck falls in love with Winnie. Winnie has to decide wheter or not she wants to drink the water and live forever. The Tucks have already drank the water and are immortal. It is sad because they have to keep moving around so no one will find out about them. I think the Tucks should have really thought about how hard it would be to live forever before they drank the water.
Rating: Summary: Tuck Everlasting Review: Winnie Foster has grown tired of her life. She dreams of running away. One morning Winnie takes a walk into the woods beside her home. Little does she know that her wish is about to come true. In the forest Winnie meets a boy named Jessie Tuck. Jessie is drinking from a natural spring and Winnie proceeds to ask for a drink in a very haughty manner. It is at this point that Winnie is whisked away into the adventure of a lifetime with a family who seems to never change. However, there is an overshadowing in the story that brings the adventure to a sudden halt. A man in a yellow suit has heard of the Tucks. He has spent his entire life in search of them and a chance encounter with Winnie has brought the man to the Tuck's home. Here he proceeds to antagonize the family with threats of giving away the secret to thier everlasting sameness. The man in the yellow suit is eventually killed by Mae Tuck in order to protect Winnie. This is an enrapturing story about a child's need for friendship and a family's struggle to keep a secret. It has the power to take the reader to a new and different world. Winnie begins as a shallow child and ends as a mature young woman. Angus and Mae Tuck are the parents that everyone longs to have and Jessie makes the reader want to go climb the nearest tree. This book would be wonderful for grades four and up. It could promote the study of human relationships, social studies and even the environment. I highly recommend this book for all readers, young and old.
Rating: Summary: Tuck Everlasting Review: This book takes you to a place where you could only dream the world was like.We never die! Though I liked the movie the book wasn't the bast. I wasn't into it like I was in the movie.I would recommend this book to someone who likes fairytales
Rating: Summary: Excellent Book!!! Review: Tuck Everlasting is a wonderful book by a wonderful author who obviously knows how to write books. I am not going to mention what happens in case somebody who reads this does not want spoilers, but I can tell you that it is a very heart-warming and excellent book.
Rating: Summary: A truly delightful story. Review: This is a perfect story for a young girl. It has all the elements - suspense (but watch out for some reviews - they are spoilers), mystery, romance (as seen through the eyes of a 10-year-old), magic, characters you care about, and even a message. I read it as an adult before seeing the movie (which does NOT tell the same story) and was enchanted by it. Had I read it as a child (it wasn't written then, though) it would have been one of my all-time favorite books. I would recommend it to any female from a 9 or 10-year-old child to a woman looking for a pleasant diversion. (I'm not sure how well boys would like it.)
Rating: Summary: Tuck Everlasting Review: The book "Tuck everlasting" is an amazing adventure put down into words to share with the world. So the world should read. The book is about a Young girl that is apart of a rich family that is very oiver protective of her. She has never been able to play with other children or get dirty. She never really went out of her gate. One day, she was fed up and she ran away to the forest where she met this handsome, charming mna who could pass for the age of 17 that had a secret. This secret was of his and his family. No one ever knew of it or was about to her of it until she came along and well....you'll figure out the rest. i dont wanna give it away. I recomend it to EVERYONE WITH EYES! Its amazing!
Rating: Summary: Tuck Everlasting Review: I would recomend this book to others because it is heart-warming and very meaningful. Winne is my favorite character because she is not afraid of being excited and occupid. I think the Best moment in the book is in the begining of the book when she is outside talking to a frog about how pointless her life is and how she never has adventure. You shoud read this book.
Rating: Summary: Tuck Everlasting Review: I really liked this book. It was not a bad book at all. Except for some parts that I could not understand it that well, Well that is all I have to say about this book.
