Rating: Summary: A good book for kids to young adults Review: This book was really good. It has all of the adjectives you need to really understand what is going on. Espicially when the author describes Jesse, one of the Tuck boys, was beautiful. it really didn't say how, but it was enough to know. When I read this book, I had to read a chapter at a time, and since this book was very dramatic, it was hard not to read on while we talked about the previous chapter at school. It is a very good book!
Rating: Summary: Fantastic Adventure! Review: Very good for children ages 9-12. I read it last year and thought it was an execellent story. I think the story deserves a good rating.
Rating: Summary: This book was interesting, but not my favorite. Review: I read this book in school. It is about a family who is eternal- they can live forever, and no one can kill them. Interesting, this book has your attention. Those of you fifth or sixth grade literature teachers reading this review, here is a book that you might want to consider a long-term assignment, or a good book to read aloud to your class. Katie Brown, age 11 :-)
Rating: Summary: A Magical Book! Review: I rather rate it an 11 because I read it for Battle of the Books and I read it 4 times. It's about a girl named Winnie who's father owns a magnificent deal of land. In it, she finds a boy who is immortal and they become very good friends. This book is great for all age
Rating: Summary: "It is a wonderful fantasy, good for all ages" Review: The book is wonderful. It is an easy read for children past the age of 12. Tuck Everlasting has one a few awards including the Newberry Honor Award. The story is about a 12 year old girl who is going to run away to the forest. She then meet a boy sitting at a river drinking water. She asks the boy how old he is and he replys 110, but he looks like a 13 year old...
Rating: Summary: One of the best books I've read! Review: A little girl sees a family living by her. She finds out all of their secrets. They drank from a spring that she owned and they will never die. She has many adventures with them and lots of fun. A very emotional and serious book. Every kid would enjoy this wonderful and interesting story
Rating: Summary: This is perfect book to read with your 10 year old daughter. Review: Tuck Everlasting in an emotional journey of a young girl faced with decisions most adults could not handle wisely. Winnie Foster is the ideal role model for young girls everywhere. By sharing this book with a daughter or niece, you help her discover the power of loyalty and the importance of courage, especially in girls. Winnie overcomes the fears of conformity to discover a world where forever is a possibility
Rating: Summary: great book! Review: Great book! Young Winifred finds sixteen year old Jim drinking out of a spring. He tells her not to drink this water because it makes you live forever. He takes her home with him and exciting things follow, including Tuck Everlasting telling Winifred that living forever is not what it should be
Rating: Summary: I really liked it. Review: Tuck Everlasting is a unique book about a family who finds
a spring that produces water. If you drink that water you will
live forever at the age in which you drank the water. All
sorts of things happen through out the book. For example:
a man finds out about the Tucks and trys to buy the spring
and then sell the water for a large amount of money. Also, one of the sons (Jesse) asks a 10 year old girl (he has been
17 for a LONG time, as a result of the spring) to in seven years drink some of the water and then come find the Tucks and marry him. It's a really good book and you should read it some time.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful Review: I read this book in college for one of my children's literature classes and I loved it. I ended up reading it ot a group of eight year olds too and they were interested in it the entire time. I think it does a wonderful job of explaining death and I think it's just a great book overall. The movie is great too.
