Rating: Summary: Tuck Everlasting Review: I thought this book was okay! It was very adventourous and exciting. I really did not understand the book or the point of having a puddle with water that will make you always be young. I mean I do not think I would want to be young forever! I do like Winne who gets into some mischeif and meets an unusal family. Then she finds out who they really are, and when she finds her true love and a chance to stay young forever!
Rating: Summary: Tuck Everlasting Review: I think Tuck Everlasting is a great book. Tuck Everlasting is about this ten year-old girl named Winnie who got kidnaped by the Tucks. Winnie loved the Tucks but people where Winnie lived didn't know that she didn't care that she got kidnaped. So they were very concerned. The Tucks have a secret that nobody knows, but the Tucks, [until Winnie came along].That secret is in back of Winnie's house in the wood. In the wood there's a fountain of water under an oak tree. The fountain of water is magic and if you drink it you'll live forever. The youngest child in the Tuck family is Jesse. Jesse was seventeen when he first drank the water. If Jesse had not drunk the water he would be one-hundred and four years-old. This old man who always dresses in yellow had been looking for the Tucks for along time. The man in the yellow suit followed the Tucks and Winnie to the Tucks house. The man in the yellow suit stole the Tucks horse. The man in the yellow suit went to the Foster's house and said he knew were Winnie is. The man in the yellow suit took a constable with him and met him at the Tucks house. Right when the constable got to the Tucks house Mae [the mother of Jesse and Miles] had hit the man in the yellow suit in the head with the bottom of a gun because the man in the yellow suit was taking Winnie. The new rule was if you murder somebody then you have to be sent to the gallows. So all the Tucks and Winnie were praying for the man in the yellow suit to live. But the next night the constable came to Winnie's house and reported that the man in the yellow suit had died.If you want to know what happened next you should read the book. You would love it. I recomand this book for ages nine and older.

Rating: Summary: MY TAKE ON TUCK EVERLASTING Review: I think the book TUCK EVERLASTING is a book worth purchasing for your book shelf. I would purchase it just because of the plot. It was believable, and it also had to be a good book since a movie was made out of it. Everyone, (well me) always wants to be or meet someone who never dies, who is invincible to bullets and stab wounds. That's something straight out of a comic book. Like the "Man of Steal," Superman, and Wolverine form X-men. It might be a little more complex and advanced for 10 year-olds, but if you're fourteen and up - you definitely should buy this book!

Rating: Summary: The Spring of Eternal Life Review: A Review by Paige The story is about a young girl named Winnie Foster, and the relationship that grows upon this individual and the Tuck family. The mystery surrounds the woods of Tree gap, and a certain water spring and its natural assets. Winnie is kidnapped by the Tucks one day, when she explored out into the woods. Her parents search high and low for her but don't find her until the ending. The Tucks were not cruel people. Actually Winnie considered them to be her friends. She fell in love with Jesse Tuck, the youngest in the Tuck family. A mysterious man in a yellow suit comes up many times throughout the story but his purpose in the story remains a secret until the ending. The Tucks kept Winnie because they have a secret about them that nobody could ever know. They needed to be able to trust her before they let her go. But the shocking surprise is a secret that Winnie keeps until her dying day. Tuck Everlasting has explosive and uplifting spirits and appeal for, everybody. I liked how the author had such an incredible way of creating a mental picture of the beautiful American landscapes and setting. It gave the book a really strong feeling of harmony and serenity. She always gives her theory of life's purpose and how time works in the world, which I personally found interesting. I especially liked the romance that happens to Winnie and Jesse. Also the way the Tuck family lived their lives, in a way that was care-free and spirited. The way the author described the mysterious man in the yellow suit was suspenseful and it gave the book an attitude that made the book very enjoyable. I would recommend this book to any reader who enjoys fantasy, romance, purity, action, and mystery. I think that this book has something that anybody can relate to in some way. This book is extremely easy to follow and I think that many people could find something that they find enjoyable in it. I gave this book two thumbs up.
Rating: Summary: Good and detailed book Review: Life is full of choices. Big and small. Tuck Everlasting is an intresting book with big choices. It is about a girl who runs away because at her house they watch every single thing she does. She runs away in the woods and finds the Tucks who have drank the water and are now immortal. Along comes a man who wants to bottle and sell the water and make a fortune. Now Winnie has to make a choice between the endangered Tucks or her boring family that gives her no privacy. Tuck Everlasting is a good book that shows people that wrong choices lead to bad things.
Rating: Summary: Sweet and Quick Read Review: Babbit's novel, "Tuck Everlasting," describes a ten year old girl, Winnie, who is trying to figure out who she really is. She is unhappy with life as she knows it, in the little town of Tree Gap, until she meets Jessie Tuck. Jessie's family has discovered the secret of eternal life, and they are on a mission to keep it a secret. Jessie and Winnie's friendship matures as the book progresses. Then, Winnie is faced with a decision to either drink the water and become immortal, or refuse the water and continue aging. Will Winnie's love for Jessie cause her to drink the water? Or, will Jessie's love for Winnie keep her from drinking the water? I really enjoyed reading "Tuck Everlasting." It was a sweet story with a little bit of everything, including: fantasy, adventure, love and mystery. This was a modern fantasy book that I was more interested in to begin with than most of the other ones. I have not seen the movie version of this book, but am looking forward to seeing it in the near future. Babbit does a good job of describing the setting and the characters in, "Tuck Everlasting," letting the reader feel like they really know the characters. The setting is made very unique because of the river of life, so to speak. This is a very unique and important part to Tuck Everlasting. The author does not need to use too much persuasion to get readers to open themselves up to believe the story, because the story is mostly realistic. The characters are human, and easily to relate to. The only fantastical part of the story is the idea of immortality. I think this idea of immortality is one that is thought of by many individuals at some point in their life, so it is somewhat familiar. This familiarity makes the story easier to believe and delve into. However, I do think that readers may have difficulty comprehending the true meaning of forever or everlasting in the story. This is a hard concept for young readers to grasp, because they have not and could not really experience forever or everlasting in any situation. This should not affect the believability of the book in any way though.
