Rating: Summary: A Fantasy of Eternity.... Review: Tuck Everlasting was one of the coolest books I've ever read. It told me the story of ten-year-old Winnie Foster and how she ran from her boring life at the touch-me-not cottage and found and befriended her beloved Tucks, who will live for eternity. It is very descriptive and has a lot of sensory detail. I was very shocked when Jesse Tuck surprised Winnie with a crazy yet interesting offer. My least favorite charcter was the man in the yellow suit. He was just a crazy weirdo who just wanted the special water for himself. If I could change the ending, I would, because the current ending was very sad and I wish it wasn't like that... I rate this wonderful book 5 stars because when I picked it up, I couldn't put it down. (i wonder what would happen if they made a movie out of it....)
Rating: Summary: Childhood memory Review: I read this book over 10 years ago when I was in middle school. When I heard that Disney was in the process of making a movie based on this book, I remembered the story, even though I read the story only once over a decade ago. This is a memorable story that will become a classic.
Rating: Summary: Not so good Review: The book just wan't good. The time period was about a three days. The had good points about about living forever but that is it. If I could I would rate it a 2.5 but I can't.
Rating: Summary: A 5 star book! Review: You can't resist this exiting, adventurous, good book!
Rating: Summary: Natalie Babbit's fantasticly exciting book! Review: Tuck Everlasting is an exciting puzzle and you gain pieces as you read. Natalie Babbit took a curious topic, pieced it, and twisted it into a fabulous book of great realistic characters, of hanger quality, of mysterious climaxes, and page after page of description. I would reccommend this book to imaginative readers or to anyone who loves a good book. This is what I call a great book! I read this book and loved it! Seeing all these others who know what a good book it is makes it even better! I say read this book!
Rating: Summary: A Good Book Review: This was a discriptive book and it caught my interest in the first chapter. The characters were well thought out and you could really relate to them. Not giving a name to the man in the yellow suit made him mysterious and sometimes scary. The plot was neat and grabbed my interest. Some parts confused me but were written very well. Tuck Everlasting, all around was a very good book. The solution in this story was very creative. Natalie Babbit is a good author who wrote a very good story.
Rating: Summary: "Tuck Everlasting", is just that... Review: There is something about this book, i can't really explain it. I first read it in 6th grade and it changed my life. Everything about it makes me think of deeper questions in life and no matter how long it's been since i've read it i can never get the story out of my mind. it stays in there to the point that when i reread it today, as a 15 year old freshman in high school it was just as moving and important to me as when i first picked it up. i felt like i was visiting an old friend again and i had to buy it for myself to have with me always. i can't explain it. it's just a great feeling when you connect with a book so greatly. i felt as if i were no longer in the fast paced world that i live in but instead, in the world of winnie and her beloved tucks. i felt as if i was her down to every little feeling she questioned in the book. I felt amazed by jessie, the handsome 17 year old in it and just like winnie, i wanted desperatly to be with him. i was almost sad when she didn't end up with him and never saw the tucks again. they too, were special to me. i carry the message of this story with me always and i hope you will read this too so you can experience it's magic. you won't be sorry.
Rating: Summary: THE BEST BOOOK IN THE WHOLE WORLD! Review: This is the best book I have ever read! It's so poetic and beautifully written! I love it! At first I thought it was going to be a very boring sappy book, but it was really exciting! I reccomend this book to EVERYONE!
Rating: Summary: A book with meaning. Review: Though it lacks the action and adventure of the popular (and wonderful) Harry Potter books, "Tuck Everlasting" brings a new kind of magic to the written word. For no wands or wizards exsist, simply a lake that contains the power for the drinkers to live forever. No exciting battles or fights to the death, for death does not happen. A book that is set a long time ago, forces the reader to be yanked into the emotion and thoughts of Winnie Foster. A book that people ages 11-110 will enjoy. Perhaps, this book, though not preachy at all, helps you understand life a little more.
Rating: Summary: Wheeler and Jones Journal Review: Tuck everlasting is a wonderful story about living forever is not all it seems to be.Life is a wheel and death is at the end of it. Winnie is a young girl who has to choose between drinking the water and living forever, or not. Would you like to live forever or die?
