Rating: Summary: Our review of Tuck Everlasting Review: We are four fourth-grade students at Port Houston Elementary School in Houston Texas. Our names are Yessennla Hernandez, Erik Pena, Ramiro Sanchez and Jessica R. Tuttle. We read the book, Tuck Everlasting, together. We took turns reading the book and we took parts in a play. We all thought the book was very good. One of us thought it was the best book she had ever read and graded it A+.Some of the characters in Tuck Everlasting were the members of the Tuck family, who had a secret power. They were Tuck and his wife, Mae, and their two sons named Miles and Jesse. Another important character was Winnle Foster, a ten year old girl who made friends with the Tucks. At first the story sounded like it was going to be boring and difficult, but it becomes very exciting. There is a kidnapping and a murder and an escpe from jail. We all liked Tuck Everlast and we recommend it.

Rating: Summary: Tuck Everlasting The adventurous Mystery Review: I thougt that this book was great! It was a mix between mystery, adventure, and laughter. I give this book a five star rating. I wish I were just like the Tuck family, so I could live forever and see everything. By: Stefen Dobrec
Rating: Summary: Wish there was a sequel... Review: Tuck Everlasting is at first a great adventure story. If you ask me, it's all a great book needs to have, adventure, suspense, escapes, a little sadness. When I think about Tuck Everlasting I can imagine myself living forever, or meeting a family who did. I think it would be a horrible fate to live forever, you would see so many lives go by and wouldn't the world be boring if you'd seen everything? I think this is a great book for anyone to read, it's a beautiful, yet sad book. You can't live without reading it. -Sarah
Rating: Summary: The Mysterious Man in The Yellow Suit By Matt Diglio Review: I thought it to be an ok book. Some may call it sketchy, others may call it "weird". But the idea behind Natalie Babbit's novel is an ok book. If you are offered the chance to live forever, offered the chance to sacrifice something for something that could change the world. Would you do it? That's what Winnie Foster is faced with. My mind could see the pictures in the story but sometimes was blurry in some spots of the story. It was well written with not too much action though. The Man in the Yellow suit didn't have a name so it kind of made him mysterious. The break out of jail was way two easy for Mae, the plot was kind of weak. The theme was too much in your face. I also think the story ended before the book did, also the characters needed a little more info behind them. I suggest you can read it if you please to, but don't expect it to end happily ever after. I admire Natalie Babbit for her bravery in writing on such a subject.
Rating: Summary: Tuck Everlasting Review: The book Tuck Everlasting was a great book. I thought the story was creative how the author had them as if they were blessed or curssed, they didn't know what to think of it, with living forever, and how in the begining winnie meets Jeese in an enchanted clearing in the forest as he is drinking from the hidden spring that contains the water that keeps them alive forever. I also didn't expect the plot to come so late in the book and be like it was. I recomend this book to just about everybody but especialy to people who have a large imagination.
Rating: Summary: Tuck Everlasting Review: The book Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt is a wonderful book. It has many surprises in the story and contains vivid imagery. The author describes the setting and the characters so well you can imagine yourself in the story. A long time ago the Tuck family found a pond and drank from it. They noticed that they cannot hurt themselves, and years later they noticed they never turn old. They found out it was the pond they drank from long time ago that made them live forever. They swore never to tell anyone about the pond. They kept the secret until they found a girl who was about to drink the water, so the Tucks kidnapped her. Now they have to tell her their story. I recommend this book to anyone. I think people who love drama will love it. I think the girls will like this kind of book, and the boys will enjoy it too. Although the story gets a little boring at times, I think readers will love how the story ends because it is so beautiful.
Rating: Summary: The best writing of all time Review: This is the most amazing book I have ever read. To call it just a 'book' seems like an insult. For it includes views on life, death, freedom, and the ultimate elegant description of time, setting, and emotions NEVER making it seem dull. The story is quick-moving.(More than I thought, rereading it for myself after the first time as an assignment in 5th grade.) Disregarding the Prologue and Epilogue, the core story takes place only over the course of a few days. Babbit sees to it that there is never a moment without suspense. I could reread this everyday for years, and the poignant ways of Natalie Babbit would never cease to amaze me. When I was assigned to read this, my teacher forbid us to read the back cover (which I'm pretty sure didn't exist on that print, anyway) - of course, we found a way around that, but even so... it made no sense to us. I don't think I should advise people NOT to read what the story is about b/c... well think about it, if they're already on amazon, most likely they wanto to know what it's about. But like us, they'll find out. All my point being that this is MUCH more than a review that simply says "A cry-baby rich girl find these country bumbkins that can live forever that kidnap her and kill people. The end." Whatever the case, take your time reading this masterpeice, and savor each and every word. I've never been so upset yet so thrilled to finish a novel of this stature.
Rating: Summary: One of the best books I have ever read Review: There are a lot of good books. And there are a lot of great books too. However, there are those few that not only engage you as you read them, but that stick in your mind forever. The kind you can never forget. This is one those few books. Though it is set in the late eighteen hundreds, this is not a historical kind of book, but rather, a book that brings forth all kinds of unanswerable questions of life and death, and is in fact very close to home. In it, ten year old Winnie gets fed up with her sheltered life and runs away to the woods, only to be immediatly "kidnapped" by the quirky, slightly bumbling Tuck family, who fear that she has stumbled on their secret of eternal life, and will spred it around the world to be exploited by all. As she comes to truly care for them, she is faced with several terrible decisions... This book has true to life themes, blended in with fantasy undertones, and it brings up the fascinating question of, what if you were offered eternal life? Would you take it? For months after I read this book I still thought about it. I'll probably still be thinking about it on my death bed, but all I can say is that I have rarely read a book that had such a strong effect on me, and I've read a lot of books! I would recommend this book not only to children but to adults as well.
Rating: Summary: What if they made a movie. . . Review: Note to the California reviewer: Actually, TUCK was made into a film about 15 years ago. I ordered it about 5 years ago through a local video store, but I was so disappointed. The quality of the film is very poor (or at least my print was) and except for some nice hammer dulcimer music by Malcolm Dawglish for the soundtrack, the movie version is not well done. Let the book play its own movie in your head until you decide to write the screenplay.
