Summary: "She discovered the wings she'd always wished she had."
Review: On the road to the village of Treegap is a wood. The wood is owned by the exacting Foster family, but they never venture inside. No one, in fact, ever goes into the wood--even the cows avoid it. One day, however, Winnie Foster decides to run away, and she takes the road into the wood. There, she discovers the secret of the bohemian Tuck family--a family who made the mistake of drinking from a magical spring in the heart of the wood. Those who drink from the spring never grow old and remain the same age forever.

Author Natalie Babbitt's story "Tuck Everlasting" is written with a smooth, quaint style reminiscent of classic fairy tales. And just as the great classic fairy tales cause children to think about certain ethical dilemmas, "Tuck Everlasting" brings many moral questions to the fore. I would have loved to have had this book for my children when they were small--what fun we would have had discussing the questions that cross Winnie's mind. Is it, for example, a good thing, to live forever? What are some of the drawbacks? This children's book provides infinite possibilities for discussion, and I recommend it wholeheartedly--it's utterly delightful--displacedhuman.

Summary: TUCK EVERBORING
Review: I think that Tuck Everlasting is the most boring book in all of history. It was so boring I don't even think it deserve's a rating. I think customers should get a refund and teacher's should have never even thought about buying or even reading it to students. I think that watching Barney or even Teletubies is a lot better than reading this book. It should be called "Tuck Everboring". I fell asleep like 6 times during the book.

Summary: the best book everlasting

Summary: I found it!
Review: This is a book that will haunt me forver. I heard came to know of it when my third-grade teacher read it to the class, but sadly when I left that school in the middle of the year I did not get to hear the rest of the book. I had forgotten the title of the book, but thought of it constantly for years. I saw it at a bookstore when I was fifteen (almost seven years later!), and dimly recognized the cover. When I opened it up and started reading, I was ecstatic. This was the book!

While I also enjoy the movie, it could never top this book. Natalie Babbitt is a wonderfully gifted writer, and her prose is spare and evocative. This book will live in your memory for years, I guarantee it. Read it- it's very short, and has a very good message.

I'm thankful I discovered it again, and will enjoy it many more times in the years to come.

Summary: A Good Read but Don't Read into It
Review: I can understand why people like the book I mean it has an interesting story and everything but if you ever have to read it in class pray that you don't have to analyze everything about it. When I was in 6th grade our english class had to read it and the teacher made us analyze the entire book which made us all hate the book with passion because we ended up writing a report longer than the book itself. The premise of the story is that this girl Winnie goes into the woods and stumbles on the Tuck family and a spring that makes you live forever and then the entire book is asking yourself if you could drink from this spring would you. You have to think when all of your friends are dying would you want to still look like you did the day that you drank from it. I would recommend this to everyone but just don't try to read into it to much otherwise you will end up hating the book more than any other book you have ever read. I hope that this review has helped you make a decision in whether or not you will read Tuck Everlasting!

Summary: an 11 year old's opinion of Tuck Everlasting
Review: Winnie is a girl who discovers a secret. She comes to understand why the secret of the Tucks could be terrible. Meanwhile, a selfish man finds out about the secret. He doesn't care about the impact his actions will inflict on others, and plans on making a fortune. When he finds the Tucks though, he runs into a conflict.
I like the good description in the story because it helps me to see what is going on. For example Natalie Babbitt describes Winnie's first glimpse of the Tuck's cottage as, "Winnie had an orderly life and was unprepared for the homely little cottage beside the pond, unprepared for the eddies of dust, the silver cobwebs, the mouse who lived - and welcome to him! - In the table drawer."
I read this book when I was ten and I didn't understand the book at all because I thought the plot was pretty confusing. A year later I read it again after I saw the movie and I really enjoyed it. So I recommend this book for ages 11 and older. Also, understand that if you watch the movie first, the movie will help you understand what's going on in the book.

Summary: How Dumb Is This?
Review: Have you ever read Tuck Everlasting? Man, it stinks! I can't stand it. Yes, I did pay close attention, but even though,I never got it. It's like so... confusing. I mean what's up with that chick Winnie? Why does she have to be all obsessed with that dude Jesse? I mean he sounds like a real nerd -n- stuff. And what's up with living forever? Why do they want to drink that stupid water? Everyone that they know is gonna die. They're gonna be the only dumb freaks still alive. And that one dude in the yellow suit, gah I can't stand him. He's in everything. Anyways and that family the Tucks. Man they're so messy. Why can't they be all clean like the Foster's. Put this all together, does it even sound like a story? No!! I never got it. All of a sudden all these people start coming in the story. And god knows why or what it has to do with the story. And about that chick Winnie agian, she's dumb . Why does she talk to a toad? That's stupid. I don't know, but they're all weird and I don't plan to read that story agian. Ever!!!

Summary: Ben's Review
Review: After reading 10 Amazon.com reviews of Natalie Babbit's Tuck Everlasting it seems to me that most people like the book a lot. Personally, I think it is just okay. I had to read this book for my grade 6 reading class, I don't think I ever would choose to read it myself. I think that it is a good story but I found it a little boring, too much detail. The theme of the book is interesting and makes people think about immortality. The book is filled with too many detailed descriptions for my taste, but maybe not for your's.
Mae Tuck awakes excitedly early one morning to fing her husband Agnus, better known as Tuck still asleep. Today is the day they are going to see their two sons Miles and Jesse as they do every 10 years. Meanwhile, Winnie Foster is talking to a toad telling him that she is planning to run away from her over- protective family. She is going to look for adventure, boy does she find it! Her adventure really begins when she meets Jesse Tuck a 17(104) year old boy in the woods.
Jesse, his family, and Winnie learn a lot about each other and life. The mysterious man in the yellow suit adds drama and conflict and changes everyone's lives. I don't want to give away the story so if you are intrigued read the book!

Summary: A very cool book.
Review: Ain't tuck everlasting a cool book? Truly amazing and astonishing!I give this book four stars because I have never read a book quite like this. "To stay young forever and to live forever" is cool. I mean wouldn't you like it if this really happened? You stroll down to the woods and find a magical spring. You drink, become immortal and stay young forever. I know I would. There are really tons of things I can do when I'm immortal and young. Hmmph...I have so much things I can do that I can't write all of them down. This book is truly amazing and exciting. The brief impact of the begging to the astonishing conclusion. Truly wonderful. If you have an imagination, like I do,you will love this book. In the book there are a lot of twists and turns and finally BAM! The conclusion. Look, take it from me. You like suspense? You like adventure? You'll like this book!
