Summary: 7th grade teacher's review
Review: I read the book with my seventh grade reading classes. They all loved it. Even though it's fantasy, they can relate to the characters' feelings. I think it made each of them stop and think about how precious life is and think twice about wanting to live forever. The book is full of beautiful language! Every chapter has several great examples of similes, metaphors and personification. I recommend this book to any sixth or seventh grade teacher who wants to "hook" thier middle school readers.

Summary: A beautiful, wonderful book
Review: So far, in my life, I have read this book twice. The first time was when I was about 9 or 10 years old, and I don't remember liking it at all. Throughout the years, TUCK EVERLASTING has never been one of the books that I think of when someone asked me what they ought to read. In fact, when I heard that the movie was coming out, I could barely remember the story.

Now that I've read it a second time, at the age of 16, I can't for the life of me understand why. In TUCK EVERLASTING Natalie Babbitt has crafted a wonderfully thought-provoking story about human mortality and what it would mean to live forever. I was floored after I finished it, floored to the point that I had to stay in bed for a while and just think.

TUCK EVERLASTING is the story of 10-year-old Winnie Foster who, while literally on the run from her stifiling and lonely family life, stumbles upon a young man sipping water from a spring at the base of a giant oak tree. The young man is Jesse Tuck, the youngest memeber of a family blessed -- or doomed -- to live forever. While Winnie stays with the Tucks for just a few days, she learns more about their secret and what it really means. Unfortunately, a mysterious man also knows of the Tucks and of their secret, and is bent using it to make a fortune.

Though I am tempted to say that this book would be good for all ages, I don't think that this is necessarily true. My own experience proves otherwise. TUCK EVERLASTING is probably best for boys and girls ages 13 and up.

Oh, and remember: Don't see the movie without reading the book!

Summary: Tuck Everlasting: A Review
Review: Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt is a great book that I highly recommend. Set in the late 1800's, it is about the Tuck family who has everlasting life, and a young girl named Winnie Foster who accidentally learns their secret. The book is full of suspense surrounding "the man in the yellow suit" and at the end of every chapter is a cliffhanger. It is short, only 139 pages, and because it is a hard book to put down, it doesn't take long to read. I would recommend reading the book before seeing the movie.

Summary: Tuck Everlasting Review
Review: Natalie Babbitt's novel Tuck Everlasting is a great story that you must read. The story is about a family called the Tucks who have accidentally drunk from a spring that makes them have eternal youth. Their secret is discovered by a neighbor girl, Winnie Foster and the Tucks must convince her not to drink from the spring and not to tell anyone about it.
This is a hard-to-put-down book because there is a cliffhanger at the end of each chapter. The story is unique and interesting to read. I would highly recommend it.

Summary: Tuck Everlasting Review
Review: If you could live forever, would you? Winnie Foster faces this tough decision in the adventure romance book Tuck Everlasting. This book is about a girl, Winnie Foster, who winds up meeting an interesting family like no other. One day, while walking through her woods for excitement, Winnie meets Jesse Tuck. Later that day, Mae Tuck, Jesse's mom, found out that Winnie caught Jesse drinking from a spring, acting very suspiciously. The Tuck's Mae, Jesse(17), and Miles(22) kidnap Winnie and take her to Tuck, Mae's husband. Tuck gives Winnie a deep talk about their mysterious spring and whether or not she should drink from it for two reasons.....keeping the Tuck family secret and everlasting life. If you think there couldn't possibly have been much excitement in the late 1800's, then read this book and it will change your mind completely.
I'll be honest with you. Tuck Everlasting was the best book I've ever read. "Why do you say this?" you might ask. Well, I say this because it was an extremely well written book with metaphors and plenty of details. Natalie Babbitt, the author, often compares the changing year to a ferris wheel that keeps turning. I also like it because of the deep conversation Winnie has with Tuck. That was one of my favorite parts because Tuck seemed like such a nice and experienced person. I also liked the story because it had the amount of dialouge that I like in a book. That made it interesting to read. It wasn't a book that you would daze off into for those reasons. It was definently a page turner , because it involved a kidnapping, a strange and creepy man in a yellow suit, a deep romantic plot with meaning, and a mysterious family who's secret must not be told. I think that mostly girls in the 11-16 age range would enjoy this book because it has romantic and loving parts that oys might not care for, but they might like all the adventure. The ending is such a surprise, that you'll be waiting for it from the beginning.
Tuck Everlasting is a book you'll never forget. Do you think you're up to the challenge? You should be, because it's a book dealing with life-threatening situations and interesting people. Tuck Everlasting will always be an excellent piece of literature. I guess you could call it...............everlasting.

Review: Tuck Everlasting was an ok book. I liked it in the beginning but then it started to get boring. I found that the book was boring because it did not have an interesting plot. Also the book went to slow for me. You should check this book out if you like romance and action books. I thought it was a ok book, but you have to check it out for yourself and see!
