Rating: Summary: A Lifetime Review: Tuck Everlasting is a work of literature that overflows with life; the point of a life lived well and to its fullest is represented as the pinnacle of happiness, whether that life is eternal or not. Immortality has always been viewed as an unachievable but much desired state in the lives of many people; Babbit makes the dream come true in a matter of pages or so, but is the dream of immortality as welcome as one would believe or does it exist as a place that holds us back from living life to the fullest, because as an immortal, one would eventually encounter again and again separation and loss from those that they hold most dear.Tuck Everlasting is viewed and read as children's literature, but the questions move beyond childhood innocence to a place where a reader of any age would question whether they would have made the choice that Winnie did. The question lingers long after the book has been read....there is always the "what if?"
Rating: Summary: Tuck Everlasting:Good or Bad Review: I loved this book. The author describes the characters so well. I think that the man in the yellow suit was crazy. Literally. I don't think that the Tucks should've taken the water from the spring. In ways the spring is a curse and in others a blessing.
Rating: Summary: Tuck Water Review: Tuck Everlasting is great book. It shows the way of life. How things don't always go the way you want them to.
Rating: Summary: from an 11 year old reader Review: i thought this was one of the best books out there. u should read it!!
Rating: Summary: Tuck Everlasting pretty good Review: I liked Tuck Everlasting but it wasn't my favorite. I liked the idea of living forever. I would want to do this if my friends decided to live as long as I did. I was puzzled by one thing. I just don't get why Winnie didn't go with the Tucks. She had a chance to live forever but she didnt take it. Her only friends were the Tucks. I won't ever understand that. Other than that the book was really good.
Rating: Summary: It's a great book Review: At first I thought it would be another boring story but it became a great story I would recamentd this book to anyone who is interested in adventere
Rating: Summary: Tuck Everlasting, a GREAT book! Review: I enjoyed this book immensely because it really made me think. It is about living forever and all of the questions and issues involved. Winnie Foster at first seems timid and shy but as the story progresses she develops confidence and courage. The Tuck family, who drank from the spring of everlasting life, helped Winnie discover her true self. I highly recommend this book. I know it will always be one of my favorites!
Rating: Summary: WONDER Review: This book is wonderful. It is full of excitement. It is about a girl that goes out into the world. She meets a young boy that is drinking from a spring. He does not let her drink from the spring. He takes her away with his mother and his brother. He tells her a secret that can never be told. He lets her live with them till a mysterious man finds out the secret. He is going to let the whole secret out. Until a twist happens and all life is different at that house. I would recomend this book to anyone. It is so good that I cried. It is a book that is very discriptive. If you don't like the first few chapters, keep reading it gets better. It so good that when my class was reading this book they were on chapter 6, I was done with the book. I had hard time not giving anything away.
Rating: Summary: good but boring Review: this book is all right. It teaches you a lesson about thinking before you make choices in life. It was also really boring. She's too descriptive and and theres not a lot of action. I guess I would say that people 10-11 and over would enjoy reading this book.
Rating: Summary: Amy's review on Tuck Everlasting Review: Tuck Everlasting was a great book. I think if you like adventures you would like this book.It is full of adventures. At the beggining it is boring, but after the beggining it gets to the good parts. It starts out with a girl named Winnie Foster. She lives in the woods. Her parents are very organized. Then Winnie wants to run away. She sees a toad on her way and she starts to talk to it.Then she thinks it was her friend. When she got to one of the trees she saw a boy and sees him drinking some water, and she said "Can I have some of that?" What she didn't know is that the water is water to make you live forever and never age.So he didn't let her have any of it. So after that the boy said "My name is Jesse." Then his mom and brother came. Then Jesse told them what happens with the water. So they kidnapped her and then they told her about the water. But someone heard it and wants to sell the water. To know what happened next read the book.
