The book, Tuck Everlasting, is very interesting and tale of fantasy and adventure. It begins in the olden times. At the edge of the city of Treegap is a wood and at its front is a spring, but not just any old spring, this spring would bring eternal life to those who drink from it. The unsuspecting Tuck family drinks the water without knowing its powers. At first I seemed wonderful, never getting hurt or aging, but then it becomes a curse, and they even wished they were be dead. Winnie Foster, the daughter of the family who owns the wood runs away and finds the Tucks who warn her of the spring's power. They befriend her and beg her to keep the secret, but when a stranger plans to arrest the Tucks of kidnapping and trading the wood for Winnie with the Foster family, the Tucks along with some help from Winnie take the responsibility of making things right again.
What I really liked about the book was how real the author makes the characters seem. Each character has their own distinct personality from kind-hearted Angus Tuck who would say, "Have a nice time," when some one was going away to the stranger who would say, "Your selfishness is really quite extraordinary and worse your stupid," to the Tucks for not selling the (cursed) spring water. Jesse Tuck is the more romantic type while his brother is more serious, but nevertheless kind. Mae Tuck, the mother of the two, is a lot like Miles only jollier and more strong-willed. Winnie's grandmother is the chattering, jump-to-conclusions kind along with several other characters with their own unique personality.
What I didn't like about this book was the slight violence. There is a kidnapping, a murder, and a jailbreak along with the story. I just hate the curious mixture of violence and love, anguish and tranquility. Of coarse all the things are needed to make this story, but still.
My favorite part of the story was its epilogue. When it was all over Winnie receives a small bottle of spring water and, if she wanted, she could drink it when she's seventeen and go live with the Tucks. A little worried about her future's choice she gives the water to the toad she usually talks to, and decides that she'll get more if she wanted. As it turns out she doesn't go get more water. When the Tucks come to find her they find her tombstone instead. The Tucks go home feeling sad and proud at the same time and narrowly missing a toad in which Angus says, "Darn fool thing must think it's going to live forever."

Tuck Everlasting was the greatest romantic novel I have ever read. This book is about the Tuck family who found a magical spring in a forest, which belongs to the Foster family. As their lips touched the magical water, it stopped the Tuck family from getting older and they can never die. Winnie Foster is the daughter of Mr. Foster, who owns this forest. One day, Winnie decided to run away because she thinks that nobody cares about her and she wants some adventure in her life. As she was walking in the forest, she met a seventeen-year-old boy named Jesse Tuck and the rest of the family. Jesse and Winnie fell in love but Winnie had to help the Tuck keeps their secret about the spring. This important secret led Winnie Foster and the Tuck Family into greater danger than ever. Winnie had to help the Tuck escape from the outside world and kept their secret safe.
I really like this book because it's full of romance, adventure, magic, and mystery. When I start reading it, I just can't stop. At the end of every chapter, something was going to happen so I have to read another chapter. I also like the way Natalie Babbitt explained and described the beauty of the Foster's forest. As I read, I started to imagined that I was there. "It was green and amber and alive, quivering in splotches on the padded ground, fanning in to study strips between the tree trunks. There were little flower she did not recognize, white and palest blue: and endless, tangled vines," If the author described the place well, it's easy to know how the character really felt when he or she was there.
When I was a little girl, I like to read any book that contains magical object in it because you never know what it's going to be. The Tuck family have experienced the magic of the spring, it had the power to gives the Tuck family the eternity life. You would never grew old or die even when you tried to kill yourself. "You can't have living with out dying. So you can't call it living, what we got. We just are, we just be like rock beside the road." At first, I think that not be able to die is a great thing but if you come to think of it again, staying the same every day until the end of the world, not a very good idea. And did you know when the earth's going to end? Well, probably never! I started to think that dieing is not such a bad thing after all, it's part of your life.
My favorite part of this book is the romantic part. When Winnie and Jesse first met and how they fell in love. I also like the part when Jesse asks Winnie to drink the spring and to marry him when they were both seventeen. Jesse wants to enjoy his life and go all around the world and see everything with Winnie. My least favorite part of the book is when Winnie decided not to drink the spring. Later Winnie died because of old age so the Tuck Family went to visit her at the cemetery. I think the end of the book was sad that she died but I think she did the right thing, not drinking that water.
