Rating: Summary: The Reptile Room : Thoroughly enjoyable Review: Like the Harry Potter books, this book has no certain genre. There is :humor, mystery, and adventure all in one book that will keep you at the edge of your seat. With a colorful cast of characters, it is exteremely enjoyable. I recommend it to anyone!
Rating: Summary: Fab Book Review: This book is so kewl!! It is the best book I have read yet. I also like the seventh one(the vile village). The sixth one is also very good(the eratz elevator). If you are into this series you have to read the second book(the reptile room) because it is so GOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: More Bad For The Baudelaire's Review: Lemony Snicket's second tale of unfortunate woe picks up right where the first left off with Violet, Klaus, & Sunny narrowly escaping the clutches of the evil Count Olaf. The somewhat dim Dr Poe takes them to live with Dr Montgomery Montgomery; A man who's related tho their family by their "late father's cousin's wife's brother." Dr Montgomery specializes in herpetology, or the study of snakes. Readers of the first book will know that from this point only terrible things can happen and they do, including a death, and a surprise visitor.I found this book even more fun than the first now that the characters are familiar. I also love that he ends each book with a set-up for the next one. It makes you wish you had it immediately!
Rating: Summary: An extremely witty, funny book with all the misery there is. Review: Violet, Klaus, and Sunny are the three unfortunate Baudelaire orphans who, most unfortunately, are very unfortunate. Wherever they seem to go, misfortune comes their way...and just when times are happy, things only become more miserable. After escaping the evil clutches of their plotting unlce, Count Olaf, who tried to steal all their inheritance, they have been sent to live with a kindly man named Montgomery. He is an interesting man who has the most fascinating thing the children have ever seen -- a Reptile Room. But when a very unexpected evil man returns, their misery is even worse then they can iamgine -- for something far worse is being planned. From an Incredibly Deadly Viper to a car accident to a horrible murder to even more unfortunate circumstances, The Reptile Room was a hysertical and well written second book in this charming, funny series -- A Series Of Unfortunate Events. The title says it all -- misery, bad luck, and other bad things only seem to come to the three Baudlaire orphans, who must dodge the likes of their evil uncle Count Olaf.
Rating: Summary: This book is GREAT! Review: I have 4 of the series. I am gonna get more. What it is about is Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Blaudedaire go live with Montgomery Montgomery(Uncle Monty for short) after living with horrible Count Olaf. He is a reptile lover. The childern hoped they were safe but somehow Count Olaf finds them. This book is so good. All about bad things. Read it to see what I mean.=)
Rating: Summary: The unfortunate event in the Reptile Room Review: I have read all the Lemony Snicket books that are published and planning on reading all of them, I think up to around 13-15. In this book, the Baudelaire orphans go to stay with a very nice man, Uncle Monty. He seems perfect and the kids love their new guardian (for a change) until an unfortunate event occurs, and I wished I hadn't read it. But the plot grows thicker, and I suggest you read it if you want the full juice of it all.
Rating: Summary: By Tim, 2nd grader Review: I liked this book because of Violet's inventions and also because some good things happen to Sunny, Klaus, and Violet. I also thought that the page with all of the "evers" on it was funny and I also liked the part when Violet opens Stephano's suitcase with her lockpick.
Rating: Summary: A MYSTERY FOR THE HEART AND SOUL Review: Hello book buyer welcome to my review, I have read all of the Lemony Snicket that have been released. I consider this book the cream of the crop. You have your basic villan (Count Olaf) and the three Baudelaire children, Sunny, Klaus, and Violet. When Mr. Poe (the manager of the childrens affairs says that they will be living with a distant uncle, his anme is Uncle Monty the children love him. He is a scientist that studies snakes. The children truly love thier new parent when Count Olaf shows up being as phony as ever. He says he is the new lab partner, Stephano. The rest of this book you can figure out for yourself. I just know this Mr. Snicket will go down in history as a great book writer for children to adaults. It is a masterpiece!
Rating: Summary: great book!! Review: The Reptile Room is a good book. I liked this book because it had many exciting parts that made you sit at the edge of your chair waiting to turn the page. I also enjoyed this book because I don't always like everything great happening. I like it when bad things happen too. This is a good book for all ages.
Rating: Summary: The Reptile Room Review: In this book, "The Reptile Room", the three unlucky Baudelaire orphans Violet, Klaus, and Sunny are sent to live with yet another relative. This time, it's Uncle Monty, the herpetologist. While staying with Uncle Monty, the orphans sense something suspitious about Stephano, Uncle Monty's assistant. Can Violet, Klaus, and Sunny save themselves before it's too late? I loved this book and would recommend it to anyone because it's unlike any other. Each page leaves you in suspense. I could never stop reading! On a scale of 1 to 10, this book is definatly a 10! Whether you enjoy mystery, thriller, or fantasy, you should read "The Reptile Room."
