Rating: Summary: Mitch Albom In A Different Light Review: I've enjoyed Mitch Albom's appearances on ESPN's "The Sports Reporters," but this is Mitch in a whole new light. His journal about the last days of his beloved professor sends a clear message about what is important in life: slowing down, listening, loving, touching. The book is an easy read, instantly moving the reader from laughter to tears. It makes a wonderful gift for family, friends and those who need some gentle prodding to "stop and smell the roses."
Rating: Summary: The Air I breathe Review: I had to take a deep breath after reading this book in one sitting. It's light and honest view offer a refreshing account of the meaning "to die is to live". This two man approach to viewing life is inspiring and awakens the spiritual journey that is forgotten too quickly in a world that is running so fast and furious. Although the topic may involve a subject matter that people perceive as morbid and would rather not discuss, the content is enlightning, amusing and insightful. A recommended read all.
Rating: Summary: I love this book! Review: I am a 14yr.old girl from Ohio who read this book, and just loved it! i think anyone from the age of 14-? could read this book, and understand it! i enjoyed it soo much, and im only 14!
Rating: Summary: Though from other readers Review: This book is a wonderful tool for my students. I would like to hear from other people three different questions that I will be discussing with my class. They select the following questions: 1. Every Tuesday, Mitch brings food when he visits Morrie. What is the significance of food for Mitch, 2.What Morrie means "Learn to detach" Is he contradicting his earlier advice?, 3. Mitch brother's is not mentioned in the movie. Why not? Is this oversight?. Thank readers for your support.
Rating: Summary: A lesson of life Review: This was one of the most beautiful books that I have ever read! It teaches you what really matters in this life. Like Morrie says "By learning how to die you learn how to live. By learning how to live you learn how to die." Tuesdays with Morrie will make you want to get in touch with all that people that once cross your life and were important. Will make you live life fully with all the people that you love and you care!
Rating: Summary: love- Deep affection and warm feeling for another. -A.H. dic Review: i don't know why anybody would want to slander one man's realization of what makes life important and meaningful to himself. this book refreshes what love means to an individual. if you have high expectations for love, well my friend, prepare yourself for failure.
Rating: Summary: As good as it gets Review: This story is a true heart-throb and it's as good as it gets. As this non-fiction account moves along, the reader comes out enriched, learning not only one great lesson, but it tackles several important topics of life in general. This book makes you think without creating a headache.
Rating: Summary: Don't have great expectations Review: I was disapointed with the book. I had great expectations when I bought it, but it did not keep me reading with enthusiasm. It is a good history, about a man that meet his old professor after several years, but the lessons are not as deep and intense as I though it were. If you are a book addicted, buy it. If not, choose another one.
Rating: Summary: Life changing book you'll want to read over and over Review: I can not sing the praises of this book enough. It is a wonderful work that you will find your self reflecting on for months after reading. Although the content is somewhat saddening, as death usually is, I felt waves of warmth rush over my body as i flipped through each wonderful page. I was truly fulfilled upon finishing it and have recommended it to readers as well as non-readers alike. Read this book. It will change you life.
Rating: Summary: A new take on life Review: I have never written an online review before but I could not resist this opportunity. This truly is one of the best books I have ever read. I was encouraged to read it by a good friend and I have recommended it to all of the loved ones in my life. It offers a new take on life and teaches a valuable lesson on what is really important in life with appreciation for every day we are given on earth.
