Summary: Don't miss this book
Review: I think the book " Tuesdays with Morrie" was a very moving and compassionate story. I loved the way Morrie viewed life and his attitude toward things. He lived his life to the fullest. He didn't care what kind of condition he was in. He wanted to make the best of it. He said, "...once you learn how to die, you learn how to live." I never had to experience a near by death or death in the family, thank God. So it made me understand the whole idea of losing somebody close to you. This book opened my eyes to death. I recommend people to read this book, especially if you never had a near by death experience in your life. It will give you an idea of how serious it is.

Summary: Do your self a favor....read this book.
Review: This book was given to me by my 24 year old son, "Mom, you've got to read this" What a blessing, not only this outstanding, wonderful book, but the knowledge that my "youngest" child has such a great ability to judge that it was so special. It once again made me think of the important things in LIFE. Don't be fooled by it's small size, it's packs an incredible punch. I Loved it! & Have passed it around to all my friends.

Summary: A great read, a great book!
Review: This book is obviously not for everyone, as some of the other reviews testify. And those who don't like it, didn't enjoy it, they have their reasons. But to accuse the author of doing it for the money and fame is silly. True, the book's market was already set up by Morrie's three NIGHTLINE appearances on national TV, and I am sure the editor worked with the author to bring in a tightly written, easy to read, powerful page turner. That what this book is. Maybe more powerful than either the Old Testament or the Newer Testament, Tuesdays has surely touched more people than the Bible ever will! For this and this alone, Albom deserves high praise for being more popular than Jesus, as the Beatles were. Morrie never criticizes religion, but he goes beyond religion to the everyday realities of life: live a life of love and true devotion. The critics of this book are right -- it's a bit of a easy to read, page turner LIFE 101 intro class. But look at how many people it has helped, just readin these 800 odd reviews. And not only in the US: Tuesdays is a bestseller in Chinese in Taiwan, where even the local translator of the book, gets fan mail! This book will live on longer than all of us, and will be required reading in LIFE 102 in the year 3000 too. Don't poke at Albom, he was just doing his job. And he brought Morrie to life ... for the rest of us. If you spell LOVE backwards, you get EVOL which is the beginning of EVOLUTION, which is what life and love is all about. Chill out, ALbom naysayers, you have a point, but keep it down. If you are so smart, write your own book and see how well it does in the market. Albom was not only lucky; he has heart and soul and that's why the book did so well. Also, he must have had a very good editor at his publishing company. He or she really knew how to take this story and make it sing. Mitch was just a reporter; the editor was the real power behind this book.

Summary: I have learned some greatest lessons about life from Morrie.
Review: Last year I met someone who was almost 40 years older than me and we quickly became friends. I learned a lot about life and myself by talking with him, and I saw him as my mentor. I respected and admired him greatly. However I did not know why he would choose to be friend with me, since there seemed to be nothing that I could teach him. Somehow I fell in love with him, and I lost all the benifit of having a mentor. Our relationship had been very difficult. As I was trying to put him back to be my mentor, my friend recommended this book to me. I read it slowly in a few days. A lot of the things in the book reminded me of my relationship, especially the first hug and the tears. Now I could appreciate the book from both the young man and the old man's points of view. And this book helped me understand my old friend better.

Besides, there are some very touching lessons I have learned from Morrie. The most important lesson is love. Love is a simple word, and is a simple lesson that we are forced to learn over and over again, yet we tend to ignore it or forget how important it is. It is difficult to fully understand love and act on it. Morrie had given us some good lessons before he died. He wasn't trying to sell anything or get anything from teaching us. He did it for love. It really made me start thinking about it seriously. Another important issue is to learn how to live by learning how to die. That's all I have to say about this book.

Summary: Deeply Moving! A Must Read Book!
Review: I loved this book! Easy to read, beautifully written, inspiring, meaningful lessons about living your life to the fullest! It is certainly not about death, but about the importance of living, the importance of NOW! It is not over analytical, but rather poetically, through the story, takes you to the heart of the matter, to the heart of Morrie, and into your own heart. It is a Must Read Book!I also must thank one of the customers who reviewed "Tuesdays" for recommending another book which I also Love. By Ariel and Shya Kane, the book is "WORKING ON YOURSELF DOESN'T WORK". It along with Tuesdays, is one of the most moving and inspiring books I have ever read! It is simple but poetic, and through story and metaphor, as well as describing some principles for how to live in the present, and by teaching how to let go of the past and the future. It is simply, the BEST book about becoming Happy, truly happy, becoming self-realized; Again the essence in Common with Tuesdays with Morrie, is learning the value of the present moment, and learning how to discover your Truth and your heart, in all matters in your life. "WORKING ON YOURSELF DOESN'T WORK" is simple, short, but to the point. It is an updated version of The Easy Man's Guide to Enlightenment... It is a book that I treasure, and it is also a MUST READ book for anyone who is truly looking for Well-Being and Happiness.

Summary: My Review
Review: My personal thought on thiis book was that it was a good book. It taught me alot on the disease ASL. There were some good things and not so good things about this book. First some good things were how Mitch always visited Morrie every Tuesday no matter what. That just showed how good Mitch was to Morrie. They had a good friendship together. Mitch showed how much he cared by helping him with everything that he couldn't do such as wipe himself, dress himslef, and even feed himself. Mitch did not mind doing any of those things. Some bad things in this book was how it always went from the past to the present and back again. That sort of made things confusing. Over all i thought it was a good book. Morrie was a good sport because even though he knew he was dying he lived life like there was nothing wrong.

Summary: My Review by Harold Adcox
Review: I really enjoyed this book because it has a great plot that any young adult can follow. I do not think that the cursing was very polite to put in a book.

Summary: Compulsory Reading
Review: I loved this book, the very essence of it was "be where you are". I am studying for my masters degree and one of my lecturers and he highly recomended this book to the class. I was lucky enough to obtain it and I read this book in two hours. Yes the story is sad (isn't life) however the relationship that evolves between Albom and Morrie is something that few of us ever experience.

I truly empathised with Morrie's perspective especially "experience the emotion such as envy, acknowledge it and detach or let it go.

This book is a must read
