Summary: a shallow and cliche- ridden read
Review: I've realized that the reviews on Amazon are not totally reliable although I love to read them, because people are more likely to review a book they've loved than one they've hated. So, I want to put in my two cents on this overly sentimental and poorly written book to balance the scales. This book made me cringe with embarrassment for the writer. A friend who read it, returned it to the bookstore and demanded her money back, she found it so poorly written. Reader's Digest articles share the author's philosophy but are usually better written and more original. I did manage to finish it (it's mercifully short) as I kept hoping to find the magic that so many others seemed to find in it - but it wasn't there.

Summary: 14 unforgettable and fruitful Tuesdays
Review: This is a special tribute to Morrie Schwartz, a teacher who taught Life's greatest lessons. The author,Mich Albom's 14 classes with his old profeesor were inspiring and extraordinary.Every Tueday was the date to meet. The subject was "The Meaning of Life". Even this book title was named by Morrie.

Mitch did an excellent job to recollect his thoughts, the lessons he learnt and wrote this book.

Morrie was a wise man,a dying man. Those lessons were not solely based on his academical knowledge but with his vast experiences from Living.

Every meeting they talked and shared Life and many things. Those Tuesday classes touched on:-World,Yourself,Regrets,Love,Death,Fear,Aging,Greed,Marriage,Family,Society,Forgiveness,Emotions,Money,A Meaningful Life and many more.....

I find this book touching, educational, compelling, truthful and most importantly taught me some valuable lessons.

Summary: Readers Response 2
Review: Tuesdays with Morrie was a inspirational story about a college professor that is diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease. He taught at Brandis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. He was respected by his students. He loved to teach, and he was not going to let his disease get the best of him. As news got out about the disease, Ted Kopple of "Nightline" decicded to do a story about Morrie. Morrie's Disease worsened and he had to use a wheelchair to get around. Morrie's disease caught u with him in the summer of 1994. He died in his home. One of his closest friends was a student named Mitch. Mitch was inspired by Morrie's teaching, and he stayed intouch with Morrie up till his last day on earth. This book was alot different from all the other books that i have read it was a great book. I feel that this book was a good change of reading material for me. I will proberly start to read more books like this. I feel that the author did a great job with the writting of this story. I like how the author took an event from his life and shared with the world. Morrie seemed like a great man and he truly left his mark on many students and friends. I feel that if you are a person who likes novels this is great for you. The story is very sad. It can make you very upset in some parts. The drawbacks of this book could be that it is very upseting like I said before. I do that this book gave me a since of knowing the hardships of having a life threating disease. I really enjoyed this book and I think you will to.

Summary: Morrie remembered
Review: Tuesdays With Morrie, by Mitch Albom is a short, heart-warming story of a student who vows to keep in touch with his favorite professor after graduation. The communication did not work as planned, and many years passed before Albom contacted his old professor, Morrie Schwartz. Albom contacted his old friend after learning that Morrie had a chronic, fatal condition known as ALS, or Lou Gehrig's disease. The two had visits every Tuesday for about three months before Morrie died. They had long discussions on a variety of topics where Morrie shares his wisdom with the world. This book shows how a man who knows he will soon die, looks towards death keeping a very positive and realistic view. A fine choice for anyone seeking inspiration or who wishes to learn one of the most elusive secrets this world has to offer.

Summary: Life's Greatest Lesson, Indeed
Review: I have read this book twice, and just now, I could finally put my feelings into words. This book is wonderful.

Mitch Albom is a phenominal sports' writer, as his writing is very clear and cogent, always managing to get his point across in just a few paragraphs. He is extremely talented. This book shows off his talent.

Tuesdays With Morrie showcases Albom's long-lasting relationship with his old college professor, Morris Schwartz. Stricken with a terminal disease, Schwartz eventually becomes bedridden, only to be visited by Albom each Tuesday. In each visit, Albom embarks on a spiritual journey as he learns a great deal more about his mentor and friend. More importantly, he learns about life.

This book forces you into thinking about your own life and loved ones. It hits home, and teaches you about the simple things that truly matter most. Albom uses a very straightforward language, and he presents Morrie's story with the utmost sincerity and humility.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a moving experience. Tuesdays With Morrie is truly remarkable and a definate must for all fans of just good, honest writing.

Summary: Simple Words To Live By
Review: I will not gush over this book. The unabridged version offers more insight and there are probably better book on the market, however, there canbe no dount, reading this book willmake you think, make you cry and one hops, change your life.

It is at the same time a commentary on our times and lifestyle and the story of life and death, well told, well delivered and much needed today.

Read this book, then read it again and learn.

Summary: Book of the Year
Review: This is, without a doubt, the best book I have read so far this year. Not only is it a quick read, you will want to read it over and over again when you are feeling down or need some sunlight. Morrie has become my hero, such a strong man with such a great message to put out. He made me look back on my life and question what is and what should be important to me. He reminded me that one should not let the little things get to him, and that one should cherish every moment she has with her loved ones. I guarantee you that you will love this book, and you will want to give it to all your friends so they too can learn from Morrie - I know I did!

Summary: The whole world should read it!
Review: I cannot think of any word to describe the emotion I got from reading this book. If there should be any at all, it has to be "intense". "Tuesdays with Morrie" should be read by every living soul there is and this is why I've decided to write this review; I am neither articulate in my language nor am I writer to begin with but I have been inspired. I don't want to die knowing I haven't lived life to the fullest. As a young person who's starting out in this now complicated world, I have been blinded by many superficial characters, material comforts of no neccesity so surround me. Like many today, my desire to own grows by the day. But after reading this book, not once but a couple of times, it has changed my life, shaped it to be better and encouraged me to face and experience life from a different light. One of my favourite paragraphs, "We've got a form of braninwashing going on in our country,...owning things is good, More money is good..more is good...the average person is so fogged up by all this, he has no perspective on what's really important anymore." Morrie has indeed lived up to being the "teacher to the last"; his enlinghtening lessons have so made me embrace life to the fullest. A truly awesome book that should be shared with your loved ones.

Summary: Sincerity!!
Review: Having to choose a good read it is rather a difficult task than a simple one. This book has changed the way I look at the so called "motivational or spiritual books", Mitch has simply shared with us a sincere, moving, true remarkable relationship with his lecturer and a friend or "coach" as he refers to him. He did not try to patronize his readers by suggesting set philosophical ideal theories but rather shared his own personal experience and that of his teacher, which I truly appreciated as a young university student who is still trying to define who he is.
