Summary: A Lesson For All Ages
Review: Tuesdays with Morrie, written by Mitch Albom, teaches us about wisdom. This story takes place in the late spring of 1979, at a college graduation.

The author is graduating from college and he promises his favorite professor, Morrie, that he will never lose touch with him. Like all stories, hardships take there toll and the two lose touch. The story however unfolds and Mitch, the author, and his old professor regain contact. Mitch ends up taking one more course taught by Morrie. This course teaches Mitch more life lessons than he could ever imagine.

I strongly recommend Tuesdays with Morrie. I feel that this book does not target any certain age group. When I read the book I felt like this book related to me and me only. I also know older people that have read Tuesdays with Morrie and they feel the same way. Every page teaches you a different lesson. Some of the lessons dealt with in this book are love and life and even death. I strongly recommend reading this book if you are afraid of death. Morrie expresses that you should live life to the fullest and not to worry about the end. People that struggle in life and feel that they are worthless should also read this book. I guarantee that after reading this book you will have a different aspect on life.

Summary: "Whats wrong with being number Two?"
Review: This book changed alot about what I think about life. This is the story Of Morrie Schwartz and Mitch Albom. The final thesis between to friends; teacher and student.
It is a sad story of Morrie whom is dying and has reuntied with his long lost pupil Mitch Albom. They spend about 14 tuesdays together, discussing the lesson of life,Morrie teaches the meaning of life as he is dying.
This book is a wonderful book about life and friendship. I will remember alot from this book but I will take a line from it,"Death ends a life, not a relationship"

Summary: Good but...
Review: First the good news: Mitch Albom has done an excellent job of telling the story of a dying man. Albom writes vivid descriptions that made me feel I was actually there. The storytelling about Morrie's life is engaging and we truly care about him. We learn about the difference he has made in the world, and the lives he has touched.

However, if you are looking for deep philosophy about life and death you may be disappointed as I was. I had heard so many good things about this book I was hoping to get some new insights and guidance about life. Yet I found the information superficial. It felt like reading a series of newspaper stories rather than a book. Each of the write ups has more detail about relatively inconsequential matters such as what Morrie was wearing or the food Mitch brought over than Morrie's thoughts on life. In some cases we are treated to only a few sentences each on significant topics such as "Death" and "Fear of Aging."

I couldn't understand why there was so little "meat" to the book because Mitch had a tape recorder. Was Morrie so ill he barely spoke during their meetings? If so, why didn't Mitch tell us that? Did they talk about other matters and Morrie actually had very little to say about the significant topics covered in this book? I felt like Morrie's thoughts on life really weren't expressed through this book, although his spirit certainly lives on.

My sense is that this book will contain great insights to readers who have not previously given much thought to their purpose in life and their own mortality. However, if you have already seriously considered such issues and read books such as Scott Peck's "The Road Less Traveled," this book will probably not have a lot of new information for you, although of course every reader will likely take something away from it. (When a reader says they got "nothing" from a book that usually says a lot more about the reader than it does about the book!) My purpose is to help other readers like me avoid disappointment due to overly high expectations.

I do still recommend it as an excellent story about one man's life.

Summary: Incredibe
Review: My sister gave me this book for my birthday, and when I read it one insomia-driven night, I was suprised to find myself reading the whole book in one sitting. This little book is very emotional and inspiring, informing the reader that even a seemingly uneventful life is full of importance. I highly recommend it, but be prepered to shed a tear or two!

Summary: ok, i get the picture
Review: this story just wasn't for me. i got tired of hearing all the preachy things morrie had to say. he thinks in his wisdom he has the answers. and he does have the answers, for many people who want to hear it...but, i just wasn't one of those people. i quit reading it around the 9th tuesday.

Summary: Just great
Review: Three books I've read recently that I could not live without: THE LIFE OF PI, Jackson McCrae's BARK OF THE DOGWOOD, and this book, TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE. It's so rare that I read three books in a row that I like, but that's what happened. More often than not, I dislike everything, having believed the hype. Not so with these three. TUESDAYS is by far the best. It is truly inspirational and moving!

Summary: Learn how to die, you learn how to live
Review: Everyone know they're going to die, but nobody believe it. Read this book learn, experience it through book and imagination with Morrie on how's life when one approach die. Learn how to die, Learn how to live with things that REALLY matter.

I like what morrie said in the book,
"Everyone knows they're going to die, but nobody believes it. If we did, we would do things differently"
"What if today is my last day on earth?"

Question that trigger me to think deeply, "Is what am i doing now, worth-doing it?"

Learn the lessons, Learn from the Man that even shared his last day with the world. Apply it on your own life positively. It can make an impact.
This is book that Worth to buy, worth your time to read it, and re-read it again.

Summary: learning from others
Review: I think many times we as individuals get lost in our world hoping to only have to deal with our pain and not share it with those around us. Morrie seemed like the kind of man that always wanted to share not only his joy with others but his pain as well. This he did not just to burden others with his problems, rather so they would grow from his misfortune and possibly be better for the experience. While I disagreed with some of the thoughts and actions that Morrie took in his life, he did seem to be a man of conviction and because of that he took action to deal with what he saw as injustice. I believe that the lessons that we can learn from Morrie include the following:
1. care for others
2. allow others to care for you
3. be willing to learn from others
While this list is not comprehensive by any means, it does include the main points that I took away from this book.

I liked the way Mitch Albom wrote from a sincere and personal view and not as the typical sports writer. He allowed his character to come from the pages as well as Morrie's. I think, while this book it doesn't sanatize the issues of suffering and dying it treats them in away that is respectful and light enough to allow readers to explore their own fears and emotions about the certainty that we all must face.

Summary: Meaningful and Thought Provoking
Review: "Tuesday with Morrie." It was a heart felt book. The lessons will touch everyones heart. It brought tears to my eyes as it brought back memories and lessons learned from experiences.

Morrie is the type of Friend I'd love to have!

He was a proponent of emotional expression, touch, love, kindness, and respect for others. He's a Mentor, a Coach, a Motivator.

I loved his sense of humor and positive attitude. His colorful character made you laugh as well as cry!

There were many lesson from Morrie that I will cherish and keep close to heart: Family and Love, Acceptance of others, respect for differences, embracing of new worlds, service to others, simple pleasures, joy of friends, happiness through others.

This was a great book. It really helped to understand the value other people can play in your life.

It was a Thought Provoking and Meaningful Read.
Tuesday with Morrie should be required reading for everyone especially on Tuedays!

Summary: A relationship doesn't end with death, it lives forever
Review: This book could be about mans eternal quest for the meaning of life. Mitch learns about life by facing death. Morrie teaches Mitch how precious lifes relationships are and how all souls are connected. "Its not the destination thats important, but the journey". Morrie doesn't say this, he lives it. Anyone who feels a "real man" doesn't cry needs to read this book and learn who we really are and what mankind is really seeking. I recommend this book to everybody.
