Summary: VERY TOUCHED
Review: Tuesdays with Morrie, is a book filled of beautiful and valuable thoughts, from a person who didn't receive a lot of love in his childhood. However, he was able to give love to others, even when he was dying.

I felt very touched after reading this book, in my ESL Class, at New York City Technical College. Morrie taught me how important giving love is, how important keeping in touch is with others, before is too late.

I liked Morrie's aphorisms, since we learn of them, especially this: "Forgive yourself! Forgive others!" If we don't know how to forgive ourselves, we can't forgive others. We can'tbe in peace with ourselves.

Morrie had an open mind that allowed others to learn of his ideas.

Thanks Mitch Albom, for putting Morrie's memories in this book!!!

Special thanks also, to my good professor, Elaine Sohn, in New York City Technical College, Brooklyn, NY, because she made more enjoyable reading Tuesdays with Morrie in my ESL class.

Summary: -A MAGICAL BOOK
Review: In our ESL Class in Brooklyn, NY, we read "Tuesdays with Morrie". This book is about one student. His name is Mitch and he lost contact with his favorite professor Morrie, for sixteen years.

One night when Mitch was watching TV, he saw his old professor teaching his own death in Ted Koppel's program "Nightline". Since that Mitch visited his professor every Tuesday....

This is an unforgettable story about the most important things in life: compassion, love and forgiveness.

I have never read a book like this. It moved me to tears, and it made me reflect on my life, to think what I'm doing wrong.

We saw the movie too, and when my teacher told us "bring a box of tissues", I didn't believe her, and it was true, we needed it.

I bought this book to send it to my brother in Mexico, because he is a teacher.

If you would like to read this book, I recommend it. I'm very sure that you are going to enjoy it.

I love Morrie's Aphorisms: "Devote yourself to loving others", "Love always wins" and "Learn to pay attention to others".

Rest in peace Morrie Schwartz. Thank you Mitch Albom for this inspirational, delightful and sensitive book. It's wonderful.

Summary: Lessons from Morrie
Review: The book "Tuesdays with Morrie" by Mitch Albom is one of those books that you want to give to everyone. Morrie the teacher and Mitch the student meet and form a warm relationship when Mitch is Morrie's student at Brandeis University. Years later, when Mitch hears of Morrie's terminal illness he goes to see his old friend. Until the time of Morrie's death they spend every tuesday together working on Morrie's final lessons. Morrie was a simple man, who even in his last days wanted to give to others the keys to a life of love and happiness. Mitch, like most of us was on all the roads that lead us away from what is really important in life.
Morrie taught and lived a life of giving. He gave to his students and his friends. He lived and enjoyed his life talking and listening to those around him. Mitch said about Morrie, when he was with you he was really with you. He gave one all of his attention when he listened. One more of Morrie's lessons we could all leard from,to listen.
Morrie was a great teacher, he taught students, his friends, and those who read his lessons in this book. Anyone who is looking for what is and what is not important in life can benefit from this book. The book ends on a sad note as it ends with Morrie's death. It would be a stretch to say that this book gave me a feeling of happiness. It would be correct to say it made me think about what makes me happy, and why. One thing that I will always remember, Morrie told Mitch as they talked about his death. "You live on in the hearts of everyone you have touched and nurtured while you were here." So very true.

Summary: tuesdays with Morrie
Review: Mitch Albom's Tuesdays With Morrie, is a book that made me think about life and some changes that I need to make in mine. This book is a great read and is hard to stop once you've started. From the beginning, when you learn about Morrie, the crazy college professor, you fall in love with him. You also realize what kind of a person he is in that he really seems to care about his students and his students really care about him. (...)In this book, Mitch seems to care but forgets what is important in life. He has to revisit this professor to relearn life's most important lessons and change his life before it is too late.
I love the fact that Morrie teaches Mitch so many things but at the same time, Mitch teaches Morrie. The most important thing that Morrie teaches Mitch is about love. While reading this book, I realized that love is the most important thing that we can do in life.

Summary: e101-November 26, 2001
Review: This book was required reading for a class and I am so glad that it was. The opportunity to read about Morrie's life showed my how important it is to stop and smell the roses. This book is the type of book in which you read between the lines and relate it to our own lives. Comparing what he has learned from his visits and what Mitch had forgotten as he grew can be a wake up call. Life is so precious.

This book shows us that even though we may have been raised without love we can change. We do not have to be a person that continues our own selfish ways by putting work and money first and family second. We should cherish all the time that we have with our families. We are not immortal.

When Morrie refers to the Family is my favorite Tuesday visit. He states: "The fact is, there is not foundation, no secure ground, upon which people may stand today if it isn't the family." We must get back to our families again. Stand beside each other and guide our families to a moral and loving foundation.

I recommend this book to anyone who wants a second chance.

Summary: A Touching, Warm Story
Review: This is a book you cannot read only once. The story grabs you and you become a part of it. I found it hard to put this book down. My recommendation would be to grab a box of tissues before you get to the end. We should all be so lucky to have a Morrie in our lives...very touching, inspiring and heartwarming.
