Summary: Opens Your Heart
Review: I have terminal cancer and when I rented the movie "Tuesdays With Morrie" I fell completely in love with Morrie and Mitch became my son. In watching Morrie go through his journey and Mitch through his own, my journey is now calmer, less painful and a lot more loving.
There is no reason why anyone would not enjoy and gain from this book. I believe even the coldest heart would be warmed after reading this book or simply seeing the movie.

Summary: Tuesdays With Morrie, A story of Mitch Albom and his ego
Review: Tuesdays With Morrie was basically a story of Mitch Albom feeling sorry for some old man. While morrie's views on life were insightful, Mitch's outlook on him self and morrie cancel out the good things about this book. Page after page was constant contradictions and examples of Mitch's enormous ego. I found it weird how Mitch didn't bother looking morrie up until he saw him in poor condition on TV. Mitch only thought to visit morrie because morrie made him feel good about himself. Mitch made it sound like he was the only thing keeping morrie alive.
I would only reccommend this book to someone who likes to disagree with people's opinions and actions.

Summary: Forever Changed
Review: I read Tuesdays With Morrie, in my 20th century literature class. Most people in my class disliked the book, as I enjoyed it. I love reading true biographies and finding out interesting facts about their life. Mitch was influenced by an old college professor if his, Morrie. The book made me realize that certain people in our lives leave such a huge impact that you don't realize they have. Mitch was forever changed by Morrie and his "Life's Greatest Lessons."

Summary: Judge this book by the cover
Review: Basically this is a decent book until you see Mitch Albom on tv and see that he goes against all the lessons he has ever learned from Morrie. Morrie is a good natured man, but his lesson are too much like things you would read in a Hallmark card. It was very old to keep reading his lessons because there were so many and they were all the same basic idea. Basicallyyou could read the first few chapters and still understand the entire book.

Summary: Why I Read This Book
Review: I was given this book by a teacher of mine, and he told me he thought I would get something from reading it. And I did. He gave me the book third period and I was done with it by 7:30 the same day. I couldnt put it down mostly because Morrie reminds me of my grandfather. He was a worker and never stopped until he had to. And that was when he was diagnossed with lung cancer and put into a hospital. Morrie brought great things into this world, and Mitch was lucky enough to share on those things. I love this book because I've never read anything like it in my life. It shows a man who is going to die, and insted of thinking about death, he thinks about his life and how you should live life;to the fullest.

Summary: A disappointing book about an amazing man.
Review: Tuesdays With Morrie disappointed me for several reasons. Although Morrie Schwartz obviously has many lessons for the world, I quickly tired of hearing them in "fortune cookie" form. Albom's utter idolization of Morrie is annoying. In fact, by the time I finished reading TWM a second time I was livid with Mitch Albom marginalizing Morrie into an old man who randomly belts out a proverb.
I was interested at first, but after a few chapters the lessons blur and Albom's arrogance becomes intolerable. Albom moans and whines about how much he sacrifices to visit his old professor. All I can see is how hopelessly self-centered Mitch really is. Mitch mentions how he continued to bring food to Morrie for months after Morrie stopped eating normal food. How oblivious and rude can one be?
There are important lessons taught by Morrie Schwarz, lessons everyone should take to heart and teach to others. Unfortunately it appears that Mitch Albom is a very poor student.

Summary: Lucky Mitch and lucky us
Review: This is a wonderful book. It is amazing how much Albom was able to pack into 192 pages. I never thought that Albom would be able to portray a life in such a slim book, but he does that and more. By the end, I felt like I had sat at Morrie's knee.
Mitch Albom is a lucky man. But how many of us might have a Morrie in our life and take it for granted or not even know it? Thanks, Mitch and Morrie, for reminding us of what is important.

Review: Tuesdays with Moorie is not only a book... It is a lovely compilation of memories, a struggle and the events that led to an inevitable death. The book is emotional, It is not about dying, its about a man who strives, fights and struggles to live the last few days of his life to their fullest. Doctors tell Moorie that his death is imminent... He knows that his body with stop working... he knows that he will have to face... but to make the most out of his last days he starts his struggle. The students becomes a learner again but this time he is learning something else... he is learning about a struggle... Moorie does things that are unbelievable like his living Funeral. With time the strength of his body starts to fade away... Moorie dies but leaves a lot with his student - an observer of Moorie in his last days. The book is amazing, it delivers a message - fair and square - and the message is to strive... to make that most out of what we have.

Summary: Make This The Next Book You Read
Review: Don't borrow this book from a friend, or check it out at the library, BUY it for yourself. A truly moving and inspirational story that every person should have in their collection. Mr. Morrie Schwartz, provides, what one should think is common sense values for living, but lessons, somehow we all forget to live by until it's too late. You couldn't have made up a better story. My new favorite book!! I want to carry it around with me always!

The book's under 200 pages and can be read in one sitting. Get the book, sit down, and read. You won't regret it.
