Summary: Marriage and Family Rocks!!!
Review: I had to read this book for my sociology class (Soc.275,Marriage and Family). This book was really enlightening and it makes you realize what's important in life. It changes your whole perspective on life and the things you take for granted. It also shows us how we shouldn't stress too much over the petty stuff that happens. It also humbles you because you realize that there's a bigger picture: It's not so much "your life" but life period. The only thing I regret is that this wasn't on my required reading list for high school.

Summary: Amazing Book!
Review: This is one of the best books I have ever read. I have two children under the age of two and I found time to read this book in two days. As Mitch Albom writes, you can visualize yourself sitting with Morrie in his study talking about family, money, culture, etc. I found Morrie Schwartz to be a remarkable man, he certainly does make one look inside themselves and take a good, hard look. I would recommend this book 100 times over, I simply can't rave enough about Tuesdays with Morrie.

Summary: Applying the book to your everyday life!!
Review: This was such a delightful book to read because I was so moved by Morrie. I think everyone has one time or another had a teacher guide them as Morrie did. All the wise things Morrie had to say can apply o everyone. I think this can open your eyes to see how you live your life. This gave me a new perspecetive on life and what I need to improve.

Summary: Life's major lessons ...
Review: Before I became a mom ~~ I was in the rat race wondering when the struggles would cease and I would find the joy in life again. It is amazing how when you become a new parent that you search for the meaning of life. And this book sums up what I have been learning the past year. It is not a book to speed read through ~~ you have to soak in the conversations between Mitch and his mentor, Morrie. And this is definitely one book I plan to keep for my sons to read when they are older.

Mitch writes easily of the conversations he shared with his professor and he writes movingly of life's simple lessons. We all tend to get so wrapped up in the "keeping up with the Jones'" lifestyle, that we forget what is really important in this life. And Mitch writes to remind us of the simpler pleasures as well. It is ok to cry. It is ok to be afraid of death. It is ok to envy ~~ just don't let all these things consume you that you miss out on life itself. We only live here once ~~ and the lesson here is ~~ don't miss out on it. Is it really important to have a new car? Or a new house? Or new clothes or whatever your heart desires? When you are on your deathbed, are you going to have a lot of regrets or are you going to celebrate your life as it was and move on?

Also, this book tackles the touchy subject of death ~~ something most people tend to avoid talking let alone think about. And Mitch did a wonderful job of conveying Morrie's thoughts on this subject as death slowly stalked him. It is a book written about a man slowly facing death ~~ and you feel like you're listening to an intimate conversation between two men ~~ and learn as well.

I highly recommend this book to others. This is a book for every serious thinker and reader in this world. It is something to discuss with others and perhaps maybe make one slow down and really look at life again. That is the major lesson I've gleamed from this little book!

Summary: It'll Make You Think!!!
Review: Dear Reader,

I had to read this book for my Sociology of the Family course. At first I was not excited about having more to read. However, from the moment that I picked up the book, I could not put it down. Morrie's perspectives on life were so refreshing to read. The book helped to remind me that the true measure of a person's worth can be seen in the character of his/her friends and family. It is easy to become so caught up in daily life and forget those people around that truly matter.

This book may not change your life, but it will certainly get you thinking about it.

Summary: Life's Learned Lessons
Review: This book teaches you a lot about life. More importantly, how to "live." We need to stop and take notice of life's simple pleasures and ask ourselves if we're truly happy with what we've accomplished and done thus far. Morrie is a great person, who changes people's outlook on life. I really enjoyed reading this book and have recommended it to all of my friends and family.
