Summary: Without a doubt my new favorite book
Review: This is one of those books that is simply necessary in your library. A great, great gift for anyone, it warms your soul and challenges your mind. It's not just a story about an old man, a young man, and life's greatest lesson - it's about you and your life.

Summary: Morrie's Life Lessons
Review: Tuesdays with Morrie is one of the best books I have read in a long time. I thoroughly enjoyed every page. The story is mainly about a dieing old man named Morrie who is trying to pass on life's lessons to his former student, Mitch. I found practically all of Morrie's lessons to be true and helpful. Morrie's approach to life and death is very light-hearted and simple. He made me believe that this is the way life should be. Morrie believes that we should not fear death, but accept it and try to get the most out of life with our remaining time. I think the book really shines near the end when it is obvious that Morrie has taught Mitch the best lesson of all. He has taught him to give and receive love.

My only complaint about the book would probably be that some of Morrie's philosophies seemed idealistic and don't seem to apply to real life at times. Others I just didn't agree with at all. Nevertheless, most of his philosophies were very insightful and helpful.

Overall, I thought that this was a good book with a great message. Everyone should read it because everyone can find something in this book that applies to their own life.

Summary: An interesting book that makes you think...
Review: I enjoyed reading this book so much, that I finished it in one day. Morrie is a real inspiration. It is clear that he touches Mitch's life greatly, otherwise he wouldn't have written an entire book about him, but I really would have like to have learned more about just how Morrie changed Mitch's life, in Mitch's own words, not just implied through the story. I think it would have made Morrie's words even more powerful.
Throughout the book Morrie gives very useful advice on such topics as death, family, emotions, fear, money, love and marriage, culture and many other things. This book definitely makes you think about how you live your own life, and how you might be a able to live it better.

Summary: Handbook for a Peaceful Life
Review: I read this book and was touched by what Morrie had to say. Life is full of different obstacles. Each one will change our life in a different direction. Forgiveness, Love, Family, Joy and Emotions are what we want to not regret. Life is short and what kind of life we live is what kind of person we will become. Thank You Morrie. I am a better person today because of you!

Summary: Good Book
Review: Tuesdays With Morrie is a good book. I enjoyed the read, it was easy and understandable. You could read the book in a couple of hours. Since the book is non-fiction I really don't want to say anything bad about Morrie. Morrie was an intersting character, but he never came up with any spectacular aphorisms or thoughts. He quoted Arden many times but other than that he never really developed any great aphorisms. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the book very much but Morrie didn't seem to be the great thinker that Mitch had cracked him up to be. I also viewed the NIGHTLINE interview with Tedd Koppel that was spoken about many times during the novel. I learned a lot from Morrie through the interview that I didn't get out of from the book. I recommend this book to all people, especially older people because of the discussions about death. Morrie was an insightful person, but I don't think that he came up with anything that was very moving, nor anything that was very thought provoking. I liked the book and I recommend it to everyone, but I guess I didn't get as much out of it as all the other readers did.

Summary: A DEFINITE read
Review: I absolutely loved this book. It was short, but contained many life lessons. When Morrie finds out that he is going to die, he gives his last contribution to the world: the lessons of how to live. This story, based on a real-life situation, reaches beyond the obvious and into the depths of human emotions. Morrie talked about subjects many of us fear-one in particular was death itself. He said, "When you learn how to die, you learn how to live." This was true for Morrie; and so, he shared everything he could with an old student, Mitch Albom, who would later write this book.
Though out this book, you feel compassion, sorrow, happiness, fear, and numerous other emotions that truly describe our paths of life. I took to heart many situations and topics as I am sure most readers do. The key factor of a good book is whether it can draw me into the emotions of the characters. This book not only did that, but it also forced me to evaluate my own. Any book that can do that and reach that into the souls of the readers deserves five stars!

Summary: Morrie gave his best right till the end
Review: This is a heart warming true story of an old dying man, Morrie, and his grown student, the author, friends until the end. No matter how hard his life became, Morrie gave it his best and showed us the full value of life. Morrie was truly an Optimal Thinker. This is one of the most beautiful books you can find on the bookshelf. I have no hesitation in recommending it. If you want to learn how to give life your best shot and make the most of every situation as Morrie did, read Optimal Thinking-How To Be Your Best Self too. These books are classics!

Summary: What life is about!
Review: This books speaks to our hearts like no other. There are so many wonderful things we can learn from wise people like Morrie. The thing is, although we don't realize because we are too busy protecting our egos, there are many people like this around us in our everyday lives. Although we are often fearful of the few that are harmful and hurtful, if we have the courage to open our hearts and allow other people in, there are so many people that can truly touch our lives in a positive way. This book has been a wonderful gift to many hearts and will remain so for many readers to come. If you'd like to understand the theory behind many of Morrie's messages, I'd strongly recommend "The Ever-Transcending Spirit" by Toru Sato. It is an incredible book that relates these types of messages to many psychological theories and spiritual ideas and explains these wonderful things in life in a way that is so simple and clear. These are the books that make life much more than worth living.

Summary: The Saddest Tear
Review: Unlike many types of literatures, TWM (Tuesdays With Morrie) is able to attract and can be applied to a wide variety of people of ages. That is because TWM deals with a diverse compilation of practical issues in life: love, death, fears, status, cultures, regrets, marriage, and others. Additionally, Albom's simplistic and straightforward language gains favoritism preferably with the younger reading age group. Like many other people, I agree that this book is definitely worth reading; therefore, I would definitely recommend this book especially to people who have loved and lost.

If it had not been required by my current English course, I am sure that I would have missed a very great book and knowing two very significant human beings! If I had known the positive effect that Mitch Albom and Morrie Schwartz's relationship would have on the world, maybe I would have read it. Prior to reading this book, I have only heard the title of the book and nothing else. Chances are that I would have not read it if I were not required to do so in my English course.

I am very drawn to emotional climaxes, so I though that the greatest part of the book was the unfortunate and tearful last Tuesday before Morrie would depart from this world. I have never read a book (but of course, I have not read enough books) that brought so much tears to my eyes and definitely my heart within mere nanoseconds with such simple words... "This is how we say good-bye... Love... love... you." Morrie's life lessons as well as his aphorisms are very insightful and germane, and they were definitely the primary highlights of the book. One aphorism that really stood out to me was "Love each other or perish." Again, I just keep on thinking - why did he not say these words during an international political conference?

The book is not religious and painfully intellectually provoking or challenging. The atmosphere of the book is very peaceful. This peace that one feels when reading the book is something that only religious manuscripts such as the Bible can exert and melt not just the heart but the soul. I think the effect of Albom's writing style is the pivotal strength of the book. The only weakness would be the fact that not all of Morrie's philosophical perspectives are applicable to every person or situation. Two examples that I can argue are Morrie's pessimistic look at status and lawyers.

I think that Morrie was heaven-sent for Albom. But Albom's book was heaven-sent for us. It is a treasure that should be read if not bought and kept. Life does not bring such optimistic and wise men like Morrie often. TWM is a book that teaches us to become both better and happier human beings. Every reader is promised to pick up new wisdoms.

Summary: Tuesdays with Morrie
Review: This book is about a unique man who finds out he has a limited amount of time to live. He has a former student, Mitch, who hadn't been in contact with him for many years. This story is about a man's journey to death and the relationship that forms between Morrie and Mitch. This book was a moderate to easy read, but I really enjoyed it; it had a lot of good ideas and morals behind it.
Mitch was fortunate enough to find out about Morrie's situation, and they began to start meeting together again. Morrie used this to tell Mitch those things that he needed to get out and that Mitch needed to hear. Morrie is not afraid of the death that he is about to encounter; he chooses to learn from it. One of his quotes is "Once you learn to die, you learn to live." He really chose to live according to this, and he incorporated Mitch in along the way.
I would recommend that everyone read this book at least once in his or her life. It's not the most in depth, mind-boggling story, but sometimes it is important to hear those small but very important things every now and then also.
