Summary: Tuesdays With Morrie: Overrated
Review: I chose to read this book for a book report because I had heard such wonderful things about it. I was disappointed when it most certainly did not live up to the expectations I had in my mind. In my opinion, Tuesdays With Morrie was a good story that was not as well written as it should have been. While Morrie does have good messages to share with readers, these are things that most people are usually conscious of, and only extremely materialistic people may need such reminders. In my opinion, this book is highly overrated. The writing itself did not do justice to the meaningful story that could have been portrayed.
However, I did enjoy the story, and because it is a short book, it is worth reading. Just the same, I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it. Overall, Tuesdays With Morrie was an average book that I found very hard to enjoy thoroughly.

Summary: Life in a Nutshell
Review: Just when you thought that no one could truly make sense of life and understand the basics of living and dying, then comes along Morrie Schwartz. Tuesdays With Morrie, a warm and touching memoir of Morrie's last months on earth, is and unlikely book to lift your spirits. This book is sprinkled with wise words and "aphorisms" that you never had time to hear from your grandma. It is an honest look at life and how to live with no regrets. Morrie, who is terminally ill, is able to give advise on "what to pack" when it comes to leaving this world. The style of writing often even seems poetic and truly straight from the heart.
This book could comfort a person living with a terminal disease or comfort the family and friends. It could also prepare a person for coping with death in the future. Morrie not only gives advise, but he lives it. It is not just another book about death, but it is a true demonstration of a positive and proactive outlook on life cut short. No matter what stage of live a person is in, Tuesdays With Morrie can be applied directly. It is a book that could be read as a family, and it would be most effective when group discussion is involved. For a straight-forward, honest book about life in a nutshell, one should place Tuesdays With Morrie at the top of the list.

Summary: Tuesdays with Morrie has become one of my favorite books!
Review: Tuesdays with Morrie is a very inspirational book and should be a required read for everyone. The language used is easy enough to understand but still effective. The lessons to be learned can inspire many.
Morrie Schwartz is diagnosed with a terminal illness. He soon becomes reacquainted with a former student, who is the author of this book, Mitch Albom. They meet at Morrie's house every Tuesday-hence the name of the book. The different topics they discuss, I feel at least, everyone can relate to.
Hopefully the reader sees the most important lesson of all-to live life to its fullest. Numerous times Morrie states "Once you learn how to die, you learn how to live". This should be widely taught, for many people quit living when they discover their destiny. He improved his relationships, not letting them go to shambles like everyone else. He let his emotions completely penetrate him. He no longer cared about what society thought; he had slowly created his own culture.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a good book. Once I picked it up, I had to read it cover to cover. The emotions and flow of the story make the reader feel as if he/she is right there with Morrie. Morrie may seem like an ordinary dying man, but he is far from that. He continues to touch others' lives even after his passing.

Summary: Life's Greatest Lessons
Review: "Tuesdays with Morrie" is perhaps the most inspirational and thought-provoking book I have ever read. I think the average reader can relate to Mitch Albom and his fast-paced life that is so common in this culture. We are all searching for a Morrie-like figure in our lives. Someone to give us inspiration, wisdom, and most of all hope. Albom does an exemplary job of delivering Morrie and his wisdom into our minds with memorable little stories. The book is organized both chronologically and by topic, so the reader can always refer back to Morrie's advice on a specific subject if times get rough. Morrie himself seems to be quite a down to earth old man with an extraordinary outlook on life and on death. His narration of his journey across the bridge from life to death is memorable at least, and life-changing for those who really take his message to heart. Thank you to Albom for bringing Morrie into our hearts and minds in this "final thesis."

Summary: KLB (OHS)
Review: Tuesdays With Morrie is a fairly good book. As I began reading it, I expected it to be a decent story. At first, I was let down by how much Morrie said he was going to die, but as the book went on, I found that the story was very good, and the book contained some very valuable lessons.
In the book, Mitch has "classes" with an old professor whom has ALS. The lessons are about many important things such as love, death, and marriage. Mitch, in order to see Morrie every Tuesday, must fly 700 mile from Detroit. The book is very toughing, and it makes you think a lot about how you are living your life and if you would rather be living it differently. I would definitely recommend reading this one! If you read this book, I would suggest watching the movie and Ted Koppel interviews as well.

Summary: Amazed with Morrie
Review: After reading Tuesdays with Morrie for an English class, I was amazed. How could this short, little book have so much to offer? Once you read it, you will see what I am talking about. Morrie Schwartz is an old man dying of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, better known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. This book is his final thesis on life. In this book, Morrie teaches Mitch, an old student of his, about topics that many of us are afraid to think about or even talk about. These topics include death, fear, aging, greed, marriage, family, society, and forgiveness. Morrie is not only teaching Mitch about these things in his life, he is teaching you as the reader too. Morrie was a very knowledgeable person full of wisdom. He was bursting with energy just waiting to enlighten someone of the lessons he had learned. There were so many great things that can be taken away from this book. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone. It can easily be read, and you will be a better person after reading it.

Summary: A good book
Review: Tuesday's With Morrie is a book that carries a wonderful message. I liked this book because it gives an excellent message about love and who we are. I think that no matter who is reading this, regardless of age of gender, this true story tells us what love is and why it is important.

I found it hard to find anything in this book that i could give a poor review. Tuesday's With Morrie is well written and the story flows along very nicely, making the book and fun and very easy read.

This book tells of an older man who is dying. while on his death bed, he mentors a younger man on the meaning of life. The lesson taught is a great one which defines love as the most important thing in the world today. As Morrie says in the book, "Love each other or die!"

To conclude, I would recommend Tuesday's With Morrie to everyone, those who love to read, and those who don't. This is a good book

Summary: Morrie
Review: Tuesday's with Morrie does a very good job of teaching some of life's most difficult lessons in a very calm and simple manner. Mitch Albom and Morrie meet every Teusday approaching Morrie's death in hopes that Mitch will pass his final 'class' and learn the important ideas that Morrie is attempting to teach him. Morrie who has become terminally ill, yet still not afraid of death, inspires not only Mitch and his close friends, but everyone who has watched and listened to his every idea. Ted Koppel for Nightline interviews Morrie, and he becomes a very well known and loved person. Morrie realizes that he is ready to die, and he tries to explain to Mitch how a person must experience every year of his/her life then move to a different portion of it. Throughout the story, Morrie and Mitch discuss a variety of life's most complicated subjects ranging from love, happiness, and marriage to aging, fear, and death. This book has a very insightful approach to life and death for anyone who needs guidance through any sort of rough situation.

Summary: We all need a lil' Morrie
Review: Tuesday's with Morrie is absolutely fabulous! Not only do we fall in love with Morrie but we sympathize with Mitch on levels we thought we never could. It's the perfect analysis of man in his most vulnerable state. It's beautiful and motivating. Morrie make us all want to be a better person.
