Summary: Excellent book - one that I will remember always!
Review: I read this upon recommendation from a good friend - and she was absolutely right - this book and its characters will stay will you always! I felt as if I were right there with Morrie, experiencing everything that he was teaching Mitch. Very spiritual, very simple, very human. Don't expect to finish the book without shedding a tear or two.

Summary: Tuesdays with Morrie was truely inspirational
Review: Am am a 30 year old proffessional person, dealing with age and business accomplishments and my own personal spirituality and have had a difficult time trying to balance the two. Turning 30 has not been easy for me, however Morries advise has helped me to deal with it on a possitive note and to help me decide that making "the big buck" is not going to make me a whole person. Money does not suck, but it is not the end all beat all of life. Thanks Mitch for sharing and Thanks Morrie for being there for so many people.

Summary: excellent, inspirational find of a book
Review: Book somewhat reminded me of Gibran's "The Prophet" in its approach.

Summary: Excellent for those seeking more from life
Review: It's almost a cliche -- seeking more from life when you are fairly successful, have a job you like, lots of "stuff". However, when you find that not all those things are giving you satisfaction; when you find yourself discontent with your surroundings; when not all the success keeps you company during the dark nights of self-doubt: pick this one up.

At the very least, you should spend at least two minutes looking out a window enjoying the view. If you are lucky, the feelings engendered by this book will last longer than that.

Summary: Boring
Review: This story was pretty boring. While Morrie may be a wonderful friend to the author, there was nothing of any kind of insightful nature in the book. It wasn't terrible but I certainly wouldn't recommend it.

Summary: WANT TO LIVE FOREVER?
Review: Nobody is going to get out of this life alive, want to be immortal....then LOVE the way Morrie shows us how. Stop running so fast from here to there and LOVE someone, now, before it's too late. The book is one of the best books I've ever read, I will hand it down to my children, and Lord willing my children's children.

Summary: Timing is everything
Review: I picked this book up in the airport on the way home from my mother's funeral. Being in a very introspective mode, I found this book to hit home with life's simple moments - the one's that unfortunately only rise to the surface through brushes with mortality or crisis.

Summary: This book was inspirational and a lesson on how to live life
Review: "Tuesdays with Morrie".... One of my favorite books, if not my favorite. In my opinion, it was beautifully written. Mr. Albom had the chance to focus on the pain and grief that he, Morrie, and Morrie's family was going through; but instead he decided to write about the lessons that Morrie tought him in his last days. I found the book to be inspirational and a way to mold a persons life. It gave me hope for the future, relief from the past, and helped me figure out how to live in the moment. I feel that Morrie was an inspiration to all who knew him and now, thanks to this book, know him. This book imortalized Morrie and has made millions of people feel good about themselves. He teaches to live each day to the fullest as if it were your last.... "Because once you learn how to die, then you learn how to live."

Summary: Sentimental and Sophisticated
Review: Tuesdays with Morrie was given to me by a friend and recommended by another; both of whom are educated and sophisticated readers (as am I). Yes, it is preachy and somewhat repetitive; however, we found it uplifting and insightful.

Morrie gives some very good advice like, 'Let the love in.' and 'Is today the day?'. He has an ego, yes, but he certainly learned how to live in way that many people are not experiencing these days.

Summary: Very Bittersweet, & An Incredible Story.
Review: I read this book at the insistence of a friend who suffers from depression. This friend said she'd made her life so much better just by reading this book. I must admit, I too was suffering from depression after the death of my mother. So I read this book, approaching it with a lot of cynicism. Well, all I can say is that it made this hard-hearted young man cry a lot, because it reminded me of the time my father was dying of a brain tumor in the hospital. My dad had tried to teach me so much, yet I turned away from him so often. However, when he first went in the hospital after his diagnosis was when he and I had our greatest talks together...and when I got to show him that I truly loved him by getting the best grades of my life. Eventually my dad ended up having the same needs as Morrie did (help with eating, using the "commode", etc.), and I winced when I saw that my dad could no longer perform simple functions as he once had. Keep in mind this was a man who could outrun his 13 year-old son at 65!!!! Anyway, I have always regretted not learning as much from my dad, and my best teachers, as I could have. I vowed, after reading this book, to learn at every chance possible, and to always live my life the way that is best for me, and NOT the way others tell me to, with regards to careers and so forth. This book is more than a great read or a tear jerker; it is therapy for those who have gotten stuck in the "rut" that controls their lives. It does not offer the keys to Heaven, of course, but it helps you find the way to a more contented way of looking at life's journey.Really, read this book. You will be glad you did. If you do not believe me, just ask Ted Koppel.
