Summary: Redunancy at its best
Review: I read this book in one sitting and it's difficult to express my feelings for it. It felt like the themes were repeated over and over again. Although I agree with what Morrie was preaching, there weren't any new or enlightening ideas presented. At best, this book is a reminder of the important things in life. The reflection the classes was a nice touch and added a little "salt" to this otherwise bland novel. I felt that Albom tried to make it as "touching" as possible and spoonfeed the ideas to the readers. Just my opinions...

Summary: Morrie found a place in the heart of Mitch, and also in mine
Review: Tuesdays with Morrie tells of a heart warming relationship between, not only a teacher and his student, but also between friends. The story of how their relationship develops and changes open the reader's eyes to a bond that is not commonly found between teachers and students. Morrie goes beyond the role of a teacher and gives his entire heart to his job and his students. As I said before, there are not many people theta can call their teacher their friend. As a senior and high school, I have come to realize what a special bond this is. I know that I will never lose touch with my teacher that means so much to me. I also know that today I gave him the perfect birthday gift: Tuesdays with Morrie.

Summary: A "MUST-HAVE" for everyone to read, and then read again!
Review: This is the only book that I have ever wanted to begin reading again...immediately! This book is a means to gain a new perspetive on life. I'm not sure how many times it should be read, but I think something more can be gained from it each time. Thank you Morrie, if you're listening...and thank you Mitch for sharing from the soul... I would love to comunicate with Mitch Albom on the contents of this life.

Summary: Excellent book! It will bring you to tears of sadness & joy
Review: This wonderful account of Morris's life is heart breaking and yet comforting. Mitch Albom writes from his heart and pulls you into his personal conversations with a wise man. Delightful! A "must read" for any college professor!

Summary: A must read!
Review: By far this is the most touching book I have ever read. If you read only one book this year, make it this one. It will move you to tears and make you think about what is truly important in life.

Summary: a unique perspective
Review: Sportswriter Mitch Albom delivers off-court with this moving account of friendship lost... then regained...this is nothing less than a classic story of humanity triumphing over death... Short and poignant..a very quick read..with a long lived message

Summary: Reads like a children's book
Review: You will forget this book as soon as you finish it. Its morals are unoriginal and aren't enlightening. It's rather like reading a children's book which talks about looking both ways before crossing the street. It's a useful reminder, but that's all. The book is entertaining and easy to read, but it is ultimately useless. If you're looking for light reading I recommend getting this book from the library. It's not worth buying.

Summary: Makes you want to quit your job and become a philosopher.
Review: The author uses sensible flashbacks to explore the mind of his mentor, comparing the thoughts of his professor, with the thoughts of his elderly friend, 16 years later. Any former college student will identify with Alboms recounting of his experience with his college teacher and the way his idealism gave way to the reality of making a living. This is a very emotional story that causes tears most of the way through. The book can be read at one sitting and leaves you drained. I reccomend it for all ages, down to middle schoolers.

Summary: Simple and deep but the lesson is to live great day to day!
Review: I commend Mitch in the complete dedication to Morrie before he died. He was a great man and deserved to leave this world knowing that his spirit will live forever in the words that Mitch expressed. This book offered a great insight to what is really important in this life and the things that do make us happy. The introduction of the relationship was simple and to the point. It established the reader a base on which to draw thought and connection to their own relationships in this life. The body and structure of the lessons being taught were short, complete, deep, and simple. Although they were simple the feeling of hope could be sparked in the reader. It was a written wonder for all! On the other hand, I do believe that it takes a special person to write such a book. I say this because it is easy to write and preach but it is much harder to live and teach. Mitch, the book has changed the way I look at things but it has also changed the way I live and act day to day. I hope that it has done the same for you. Happy reading all!
