Rating: Summary: An inspirational story that we can all relate to. Review: If you wonder what the meaning of life is, or need some inspiration to cope with hard times, this is the book for you. It deals with all the hard issues we must face at one time or another, in our lives. This book teaches you to be gratefull for all you have and especially the love and support of family and friends. If you ever feel lost in life, give this book a try.
Rating: Summary: Life's Lessons Learnt Review: Reading this book brought tears to my eyes and watching the movie flooded them more. I felt melancholic about my own life, seeing myself in Mitch's shoes before the reunion with his favorite teacher, Morrie; always hurrying against time, meeting his goals, aspirations & successes at work and thinking that his quick and fast snatching loving moments with Janine should be fulfilling enough for both of them. From Morrie and his generous sharing of his life experiences from childhood in poverty and deprivation through fulfilling adulthood and then the finale physically debilitating but enriching emotional and mental closure through impending death, he evaluates the true values of life that should bring meaning to all of us. This is a moving story of life's lessons learnt : to be generous in showing and sharing love before it is too late, in being forgiving to ourselves & others to find peace within us, in balancing time for all that matters most, in reminding ourselves the responsibility to give to the community & not just career, in being kind to ourselves to grieve and cry to wash away our pain and create rainbows in our hearts and never to make excuses for things that do not appear to be right and wonderful. Morie has "early morning moments" to cry which he gives himself the time but not for long, just enough to wash away the pain and move on to celebrate the joy of living. He values the time ALS allows him to share his impending death in dignity with the public and enjoy a living funeral. This lesson on time persuades Mitch to cast away his cellphone to give his time for the 2 people he loves and asserts his right not to be enslaved to this world's pursuits of fame, glory & money. Through Morrie, he reevaluates his life's priorities & rediscovers that life offers choices which hunger doesn't,as Morrie says. Through Morrie and Mitch, I now think of my mother and the reconnection I have to make, the love I have to show and the time I have to give. Morrie regrets not forgiving himself for the resentment towards his father's indifference & not forgiving his father for the love that he did not show. I felt the same and must do the same. Thank you, Mitch Albom for giving me this chance to learn my life's lessons and a post-humous kudos to Morrie for the courage, wisdom and dignity I learnt.
Rating: Summary: The meaning of life Review: Tuesdays With Morrie is a very sad book, but it is touching. I'm not very good at reading so I got the book on tape and followed along, reading the book for 4 hours. If I had read the book without the tape I would have been distracted and it wouldnt have been such a good experience. The book has lots of good topics that are important in life. Several things in the book made me think and look at my life. Morrie was a very special individual and his life made me want to live my life better. It made me think about lots of aspects in my life that I need to work on. I worry alot about several little things and I care about what the society thinks of me. This book made me realize that those things are not important. I always wondered what was the most important thing in life and with the help of this book, I realized it was love. Love is such an amazing gift and it is so important in life. Morrie said that if you dont love then you die. If a person has love in their life then they will be so much happier. Morries words on death also made me think. His idea of "once you learn how to die then you learn how to live." This really made me think too. He was so strong when he was dying and he was so positive. This book just made me think about so many things and realize that Morrie was so right. It changed my life in a good way! I would deffinitely recommend everyone to read this book!

As he visis go on everytime Mitch sees Morrie he is weaker. Morrie is a very wise man and before his time comes he shares his advice with everyone. Mitch learns more about himself and becomes a better person. Their relationsip gets stronger and stronger. In overall this is a good book. At times it can loose you but for the most part it is a good read, with a positive look at the kindness of human beings.
Rating: Summary: A great story to show you what is important in life. Review: This book was an awesome read. You feel totaly conected to Mitch and Morrie. In each chapter I found something that was either applicable to my life now or I know it will be in the future. I feel that everybody who reads ths book will decide to take a step back to look at their life, and reevaluate where they are, where they are going, and what they really want. The reader really can feel the love that Morrie has for everyone in his life and for his life. And you can feel the transformation that Mitch goes through during this last class. This book is a must read for everyone.
Rating: Summary: tuesdays with Morrie Review: "Each night, when I go to sleep, I die. And the next morning, when I wake up, I am reborn." The book Tuesdays with Morrie was written by Mitch Albom; I think it deserves a five-star rating, because the author, the old man Morrie, and a young man can hopefully help us see some of life's greatest lessons. If the reader ever had any questions about life, they could read this book and answer your questions. The author's intentions in this book are to reveal lessons about life, like to never give upo no matter what happens; as long as the reader keeps faith and the reader keeps giving your love things will work out. My evaluation of this book is that it is a great lesson because it shows that people don't always have to care only for ourselves because now days that is how a lot of people are. In this book, it shows that Morrie thinks about his self last even when he is the one that is dying, since he was like that people are coming back to see and help him now. In this book Mitch Albom had heard of Morrie and started meeting every Tuesday in his study like they did back in college. I like it because it's one big lesson in how to live, and it was a true story. First of all, I would give this book a five-star rating because it can be a very inspirational story. This is also a great story because even know that Morrie got Lou Gehrig's disease that he wasn't afraid of death. Morrie was a great teacher, friend, and coach. Even know that Morrie's illness crippled him daily he always was in great spirits. This book deserves five stars because it just very touching. Even know Morrie was going through this pain and debilitation of this devastating disease he was still a teacher through it all. He some how never felt sorry for himself and was always so grateful to be surrounded by so much love. This is one you just can't help but be touched by. This can also show us how to interact we those around us. It deserves such a high rating because it can very much so affect someone's life. If can show how important a relationship or a friendship can be because Mitch experienced what it was like to have someone in there life and then have been gone. Secondly, one of the best parts of the book was when Mitch saw Morrie on TV and heard that he had this disease (ALS) so he decided to get a hold of him. This book has so many great parts, lessons, and advices in it; right as you don't think there's no more there is. It was very sad when Mitch was walking up to his house on that very wet and damp hearing all those things about how Morrie is not doing very well. This book has a lot of great examples in it. Lastly, I would recommend this book to anyone that wanted a touching and good story. It shows that even all the pain and debilitation of this devastating disease Morrie continues to be a teacher the whole time. He never feels sorry for himself and is always so grateful for everything that he has especially all the love that he has there. When he was on his deathbed, he still manages to completely live life robustly and fully. It would be so great for some people even like Mitch was because they hate death and love, and after he got done meeting with Morrie his point of view was totally different about it. This book could change peoples view in a lot of different ways whether they think so or not. This book should be mandatory for a lot of high school English classes. It would be a good lesson around that age because so many things are changing in life at that time. This is why Tuesdays with Morrie would be a very good book to read and a great life's lesson. If they made high school kids read it I guarantee that the majority of them would give it a five-star rating, would see that it is a life's great lesson, and would recommend it to other people after they read it. This book was recommended to me and I would do the same to someone else. There would be a lot of people that would learn and realize what friendships are all about. One of the last things that Morrie told Mitch when he said goodbye several days before his death that they could still talk when he visited his grave. "You talk, I'll listen," he suggested.
Rating: Summary: A Touching Story Review: This book contains a wonderful story that everyone can relate to. It is true to life and each person can take away valuable life lessons. Morrie was a truly inspirational mentor to Mitch. It was very emotionally rewarding to see how Morrie was able to touch Mitch's life during the end of his own. This relationship is a great example of why all people should slow down and spend more time with those they care about. Life is full of obligations and responsibilities, but in the end, it is the memories that we make with others that will sustain us. Morrie and Mitch were able to reconnect and both of them reaped the rewards of the relationship. Morrie was able to generously impart the wisdom of his own life experiences, thus gaining closure on his own life by touching another's. Mitch had the opportunity to reap the rewards of Morrie's sage advice and life lessons. This book is one of the most inspirational and touching stories that I have ever read and I feel that this book has, in some small way, made me a better person.
Rating: Summary: A great story that makes you think about life Review: Tuesdays with Morrie was a wonderful book. Morrie is such a good person with a passion for life. This book will make you stop and think about your own life and how you could make it better. It makes you feel like you are in Mitch's shoes taking in everything Morrie has to say in his last days. You can feel the passion and love throughout the book. I would recommend this book to anyone, especially if you want to learn a great lesson about life.
