Summary: An in-depth look at life, love, and death
Review: Morrie was the most insightful person I have ever read about, and I was thrilled that he was non-fiction. I wish I could have met someone such as he. He possessed knowledge that most humans do not have, cannot possibly obtain during their existence. I consider myself lucky to have read this book. I especially enjoyed the chapter on death, not because it is such a forbidden topic, almost a taboo in our sociey, but because I never looked at death in that way. Morrie truly changed my perspective. I'd like to thank Mitch Albom for sharing with readers such as myself, what Morrie was able to share with him. I recommend this book to anyone, of any age-especially teenagers; I am 13, and this book literally changed my life.

Summary: A "Must Read" for anyone over 50 on how to live and die!
Review: Morrie has touched a universal chord when he reconnects wtih a former student who visits him on Tuesdays during the waning months of his life. Providentially, Mitch Albom, a sports column writer for Detroit and author of several sports related books, sees his favorite teacher on "Nightline" discussing his battle with a terminal illness. Although Mitch gave him a briefcase on graduation day and promised to keep in touch, he never did ....until "Nightline." The rest is history. A lesson to be learned: Tell teachers, parents, spiritual mentors, children, and significant others before they are at "death's door" how much you love them, that they made a difference in your life. and most importantly, spend time with them in their dying days. It may not always be pretty to watch, but you will learn lessons about living, loving, family, forgiveness and dying.

Review: It is the most heart warming and moving story I have ever read. I am thankful for Morrie Schwartz; for his wonderful tribute to all people and to Mitch Albom for writing this book so the world could share this inspirational story. It is a reminder to all on what is 'truly' important in life and the many lessons to employ and live by. Thank you Morrie, Thank you Mitch!

Summary: A Teacher Affects Eternity
Review: This book is a treasure chest of lifes lessons. It makes you look at your life and whats important. On a tombstone it tells the year of birth and the year of death and in between there is a "-". That dash is what counts. Morrie made his dash count. Thank you Mitch Albom for this book!

Summary: A moving spiritual journey; required reading for humanity.
Review: Similar to other readers, I was given a copy by a dear and trusted friend. There has not been a more simple and elegant treatise on the nature of man and his spiritual existence. On what it means to be part of the feared and often misunderstood circle of life. This book transcends all religious boundaries and delves into the meaning of what defines being human. Brief and eloquently written, it may be the most reflective 2 1/2 hours of reading one can experience. I cannot thank my friend enough for sharing this book with me.

Summary: A book about living life to it's fullest.
Review: At first you might think that you are just reading a book about someone who is dying, but you will soon find out that it is more a book about living live to the fullest. An insightful book to read for anyone, but especially someone whose life is touched by a neuromuscular disease. This book is easy to read in about 3 hours. Have a pen or highlighter handy to mark the many wonderful "Morrie" quotes!
