Review: This isn't chicken soup for the soul; it is barely a bouillion cube. There is nothing here. Just alot of obvious blah/blah about how life should be treasured because it is ephemeral. And Mitch Albom seems like an exploitative opportunist. I think the old guy killed himself to escape Mitch Albom's smug presence. Yuk.

Summary: Dying with dignity...
Review: Morrie shows us all that a little human compassion goes a long way. It shows how he keeps a sense of humor through despite the odds being stacked against him. It has taught me how to cope with my own mother dying from this deabilitating and deadly disease, and how she has remained so strong throughout her own ordeal. He has been an inspiration for my own mother to model. It shows a real perspective on dying and how to prepare for something you never think can happen to you.

Review: THE BOOK THE PROM QUEEN WAS ABOUT FIVE FRIENDS WHO WERE ALL CHOOSEN AS FINALISTS FOR THE PROM QUEEN.THERE WAS SOMEONE WHO DID NOT WANT THE OTHER GIRLS TO BE PROM QUEENS AND SHE STARTED KILLING THEM ONE BY ONE. THE KILLER WAS A VERY CLOSE FRIEND OF THE OTHER GIRLS AND HER FRIENDS HAD NO CLUE SHE WAS THE KILLER.I AM VERY SORRY. THE COMPUTER IS GOING TO BE SHUT DOWN IN FIVE MINUTES SO I HAVE TO LEAVE. I WILL REACH YOU GUYS NEXT TIME.

Review: I'm still trying to decide if this book either (1) fell short in conveying the "large lessons" in life or if (2) it succeeded in telling a very simple story with the simplest of lessons, leaving it to the reader to find insight in applying it to one's own life. Initially, it left me wanting more and I felt the author could've better done this wise man (Morrie) justice in the telling of this story. However, as days have passed since putting down this short story, I am finding the appeal and insights of the book are actually in its simplicity.

Review: nothing to digest here. Bubblegum for the brain. Scan through the other comments and read the 1-2 stars. Dozens of other books that tackle "life" are much better. Even "don't sweat the small stuff" is much better. For those who have sentimental or idealistic feelings toward an old mentor (which I have), you might get something worth reading out of this, but not a guide to life you haven't heard since kindergarten...

Summary: A Hallmark card, not a book....
Review: The success of this book astounds me. Here it is in a nutshell. An arrogrant young guy hears that his old professor is dying and decides to spend some time with him so he can write a best seller. He takes the brilliant old man's words, reduces it to the level of a 7th grader and sells a few million copies. This is absolute junk. Albom is like the young guy on the infomercial he tells how you can get rich by placing ads in newspapers. He's a con artist.

Review: As a college senior six weeks away from her degree, and with plans to be a teacher next year, I can think of no better book I could have possible read at this time than Tuesdays With Morrie. Anyone who would give even the slightest critcism to this book obviously doesn't get it, or is deeply cynnical and unfeeling. Morrie Schwartz figured it out - he knew what each and every one of us is trying to find in our own lives every day. This book is truly about life's greatest lesson - love above all things. Not only do I believe that this is one of the most valuble books I ever read, I also believe in its great importance. Therefore, as soon as I finished reading it, I went out and bought over a dozen copies. I am going to give it to all my friends as graduation presents. If there is one tool that a college graduate, just starting out in life should take with him or her, it is this book. But I would also encourage anyone from any walk of life to read it. It is truly remarkable.
