Certain Prey

Summary: Not up to first Prey novels.
Review: I liked Lucas better when he was with Weather. He showed more depth of character. I felt sorry for Sherrill who still had feeling for him. His killers are getting very BORING! Bring back the psychos please. I enjoy when Lucas is stalking his prey and delving into their minds. Eyes Of Prey and Winter Prey, now that's a true Sanford experience. What a disappointment!

Summary: Rinker stole the show.....
Review: Another great book from Sanford. Fast paced, enjoyable, great entertainment. Rinker was a believe, if not different character. Carmel however, as exciting as she was, was a bit unrealistic. Also, the behavior between Lucas and Marcy was a flat for two people who "discovered" each other at the end of the previous book. Great nontheless and look forward to the next. Could there be another book with Rinker?????

Review: As usual, I was eagerly awaiting my next "Lucas fix." What happened to the quick, intelligent, deep, sexy Lucas that I love?

Summary: A page turner!
Review: From the first page to the last, Certain Prey kept my attention. John Sanford allows his characters to develop in such a manner that you are always second guessing him in your mind. Took me three days to complete the reading - and I had to take it to Altantic City to finish it!

Summary: Not as good as his earlier "Prey" books
Review: I have read every single entry in Sandford's Prey series and this one wasn't quite up to par. His first few books were filled with menace and I thought his villains were outstanding. During that time he developed Davenport as the excellent character that he is now. However, this latest book bothered me. I liked Rinker, an unusual hit'man', but found Carmel totally over the top. Her actions, given her successful background as a top, hard-nosed defense attorney were inexplicable and made no sense. It was as though someone had done a brain transplant on her at the beginning of the book. I don't usually write reviews on books that I think are only average, but when it represents what I regard as a decline, I think it is noteworthy.

Review: This is one of his best books. The lawyer/hit man partnership was interesting. I was immersed in the book from page one.

Review: This will be hard to top for excitement and keeping you glued to the pages. It' great to have women as the "bad guys" and have them be so convincing at it. It was also a pleasure to not have the usual Sandford terror and gloom.

Review: Having been a Prey fan from the beginning - I found this one a worthy installment. I liked the villians being women. I look forward to the next one and can't wait for a match up between Lucas and Clara.

Review: Lucas Davenport's first encounter with a woman criminal was exciting at every turn. "Prey" fans will not be disappointed. Anyone who was not a "Prey" fan will be after this one.
