Summary: Well worth the wait
Review: I loved "Jewels of the Sun", the first book in this new trilogy, and so it was with eager anticipation that I awaited the June 30th release of this 2nd installment. "Tears of the Moon" was well worth the wait! In this tale, we get Shawn Gallagher's story. Shawn, the 2nd Gallagher son, is a musician and a dreamer by nature, and a cook in the family's pub by profession. Perfectly content with his life as it is, Shawn has no plans to make any major changes -- which includes any long-lasting romantic entanglements or making a career off his brilliant music. Mary Brenna O'Toole has been Shawn's sister Darcy's best friend since childhood, and they've seen each other almost every day as far back as either can remember. Brenna's feelings for Shawn have been leaning toward the romantic for some time now, and as Brenna is a "doer" and not a dreamer, she decides to act upon them. "Tears of the Moon" is a wonderful, romantic tale of the changes that inevitably take place when lifelong friends become lovers. There are conflicts of heart and mind, fear of losing the comfortable, easy relationship already in place, and yet great anticipation that things could be even better. It's also about accepting love that's offered, flaws and all. Shawn and Brenna take their sweet time accepting each other, which makes the book a deliciously fast read as you race through to get to the point where they DO accept each other. Last but not least, the other star of this book is Ireland itself, and as I've said in previous reviews, Ms. Roberts ought to receive kickbacks from the Irish tourism board. I certainly can't wait to travel there and go hunting off the beaten path for a charming village like Ardmore, where the cliffs meet the sea and there's always a friendly face to greet you in the local pub. I'm eagerly awaiting Darcy's story in "Heart of the Sea". I expect she'll get her man. :)

Review: I enjoyed the first book of this series, "Jewels of the Sun", but the second installment, "Tears of the Moon" was even better. Shawn is a dreamer, and Brenna is quite practical and forthright. The relationship between the two opposites is truly delightful. I would certainly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys warmth, humor and romance.

Summary: No One Does Ireland Like Nora
Review: I loved "Jewels of the Sun" and eagerly awaited this installment in the trilogy. I was not disappointed. Shawn and Brenna were delightfully rich and humanized characters (I actually think I've met a Brenna) and the touch of Magic from the lovelorn Prince Carrick and Lady Gwen was just a perfect counterpoint to the witty dialogue(written so well that I could hear the brogue) and down to earthy charcters. I can't wait to read "Heart of the Sea" when, I presume, the prince and his lady will finally get together. Then this trilogy will join all of Nora's others on my "reread again and again" bookshelf. This is a perfect book to find a cozy spot with and not move until you're finished.

Summary: Liked it a little less
Review: I loved the first in the series and waited anxiously for the second but found myself slightly disappointed. The relationship between Brenna and Shawn sizzles, no question about it, but I was unimpressed by the occasional vulgarity that seems uncharacteristic for Nora Roberts. Still a good read and some very creative intimate moments. Fell in love with Shawn as easily as his brother!

Review: This book was a dream put into words. I love the book along with the rest of the others.I can't stay away from the mystical, romance magic.The book was very descriptive,I could see the cliffs, hills,inside the pub. This book is a must read. Oh the love between the two is so real and they fit like a glove on a hand.They were friends first and know each other inside and out. But I was very upset w/ myself because I'm left in suspense for the third book.

Summary: A lovely second to the triology
Review: Nora Roberts does it again with this follow up to "Jewels of the Sun". With likeable characters and a plot line that blends reality with a touch of the mystic, it keeps you turning the pages until the end. While I found Aiden and Jude to be more interesting lovers, with more real conflict to overcome, Brenna and Shawn do nicely themselves, and I do love the way that the entire Gallagher family is developed more throughout the book. All in all- you'll really like it. But read "Jewels of the Sun" first! Can't wait for "Heart of the Sea", which this book sets up VERY nicely.

Review: After reading Jewels of the Sun, I couldn't wait for "Tears" to come out, it was well worth the wait! Ms. Roberts has a way of writing a story and drawing you in. Everytime Brenna and Shawn were in the same room I could feel the electricity coming off the page. To say the least I finished this one in record time (4 hours!) and had time to read it again. I am waiting (not patiently) for the next installment!

Summary: Tomboy heroine and sensitive hero.
Review: Shawn and Brenna are longtime friends who fall in love. Brenna has had an attraction to Shawn for many years. It finally drives her crazy enough that she propositions him one day. The way this tomboy with no flirting skills asks her longtime friend Shawn for sex is both poignant and funny. Shawn is shocked and terrified at first. But then she lays a kiss on him and he can't stop thinking about her proposition. He takes her up on it, but then falls in love with her. What follows is a touching, charming, funny, and sexy story. Very highly recommended!
