Summary: I NEVER DREAMED LOOSING WEIGHT COULD BE SO EASY!
Review: There is nothing hard about following the plan for my particular blood type. I don't feel like I am missing anything! I have subsituted the Ezekiel bread for the wheat bread and the pounds have dropped off. Giving up the wheat seems to be the key factor to my individual weight loss. This is an eating plan I can live with for life. I weight train approximately 3 times a week, and in the 4 months I have been following the plan, I have gone from a size 12 to a 10 and am about 5 pounds away from my ideal weight goal. The ironic part is that a "prospective" boyfriend gave me the book because he thought I needed to loose a few pounds. We no longer communicate. If he could only see me now! I recommend this book to any and everyone who is serious about loosing and keeping the weight off.

Summary: Remarkable! I now have my family of six on it.
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed the book. I still have a few questions as to the types of foods we are and are not allowed to eat. With 2 blood types in the family, O & B, I have some difficulties blending meals. Also some of the allowable foods are difficult to find, even going to a health food store. I live in a small town (<6000 pop.) and certain foods are not readily available. What can I do? Other foods, such as wild boar (as this is readily available in this area, several farms), are not even listed in the book. Would this particular meat be considered an acceptable meat or would it be considered "pork", and not acceptable to either blood type? If possible, I would appreciate a response to my e-mail address. I thank you for your cooperation.

Summary: I have questions.
Review: I have been on this diet for 21 days now, read the book, had my blood type(A+) double checked. The first week I felt great, lost 5 lbs., had more energy than ever. Now, 2 weeks later, I've gained 6 lbs., and feel very discouraged. I'm not ready to give up yet, but I want to know why I've gained weight. Can somebody tell me?

Summary: A definite buy for those serious about their health!
Review: I actually did not know what blood type I had until I read this book. After reading all of it I was pretty sure I was a type 'O'...and the GP confirmed this after a day or so! If you are serious about your health, and want to have a healthy diet planned out for you as an individual, this is the book for you! Forget all those fad diets, and promises of get-thin-quickly out there! This book keeps you healthy, lean, powerful, and in tip top mental and physical state.

Summary: A truly extraordinary book deserving the broadest audience
Review: I have long believed that in matters of health "one size does not fit all," and Dr. D'Adamo finally and brilliantly explained why a diet that works for one person might fail for another. This book represents a breakthrough insight into diet and, more importantly, all aspects of health. Whether you are interested in the science, the anthropology, or the diet concepts, this book is an absolute must read.

Summary: FABULOUSE BOOK!!!!!
Review: I'm only giving this book three stars because I'm saving the other stars for "Cook Right for Your Type" and "Live Right for Your Type"! It is so marvelous not to have to think about my food choices anymore! I just eat right for my type and I'm feeling GREAT!

I so agree with the Purdue graduate too. Why let science get in the way? Phooey on the scientific method! Give me Doctor Peter's words instead! Just look at the testimonials on this website alone. Over 150 people have been helped and a couple meanies try to spoil everything by saying that it isn't good science!

I don't even have a bachelor's of science degree but just like Doctor Peter D'Adamo, I sure know what works! Eating and cooking and living right for your type, that's what!

Every popular author has to put up with critics. Remember what they used to say about Jacqueline Suzanne? I say "keep up the good work, Doctor Peter" and don't ever listen to anyone who disagrees with you. They're always...WRONG FOR YOUR TYPE!

Summary: Think about it
Review: Do you find it a bit absurd that humans have been around for millions of years, and now we don't know what to eat? I give the author four stars for investigating a topic that has widely been wondered about but never before touched upon. I would have given five stars if he had found a way to humor those who are oriented toward the "SCIENTIFIC METHOD" and done some research that would satisfy those guidelines. I admire his courage for publishing his research without it. As a graduate of Purdue University, a heavily research-based institution, I understand the seemingly impeccable logistics of the scientific method, the religious conviction with which academians adhere to it, and how most researchers could slaughter this presentation. Then again, they also nitpick each other's work to shreds. Of course any diet that limits fat, sugar, caffeine, synthetic ingredients, and carbohydrates is going to make you feel a lot better and allow weight loss. A lot of ailments can be eliminated or prevented simply by eating natural, unprocessed, organic foods, regardless of which of the four food groups you prefer. And if you are good at listening to your body, it will tell you what it wants, with the exception of fats, chocolate, and carbohydrates which can act like drugs to make you feel loved, secure, or relaxed. In judging the effectiveness of the recommended diet, l look at how much positive feedback there is compared to the derogatory. I also read SEVERAL authors' research (including The Zone) and put it all together for myself. As far as following a diet, I find it very hard to get the right combinations, and then, the right proportions, especially when I have to match it up with my appetite, schedule, and checkbook. But, if you're not worth it, don't worry about it. I think the best thing to do is to experiment with different foods, pay attention to how they make you feel, and DRINK LOTS OF WATER. And when I want to base my diet on what someone else eats, I'll base it on my healthy friends, not my dead ancestors.

Summary: A real eye-opener!
Review: If I had been able to access this type of information 25 years ago, I might have been able to avoid a lot of problems with food intolerance. It took many years of doctor visits and diagnostic tests to determine what foods I was intolerant to and that I had low stomach acid and propensity to low blood sugar. This book says all the same things about my blood type and spells out which foods are favorable for your blood type and which to avoid. A very straight forward approach and a fast, easy read. This is a real eye opener for anyone interested in knowing how to eat for the maximum benefit and how to help family members who are currently exhibiting food intolerance symptoms. And, the book costs less than one trip to the doctor... a good investment and a valuable addition to your library.
