Review: Beware! The evil, foul-minded people who are publishing these works (The Chronicles of Narnia) have profaned the fantastic writing of C.S. Lewis by rearranging the order of the seven books so as to confuse the reader and steal away some of the magic and wonder by imposing it in a chronological order rather than the artistic one in which it was rendered. Is the horrible time witch at play again or it could be that rascal Screwtape at work? I shake my head sadly at the poor folk who will read these books in the wrong order, actually thinking that perhaps the author meant for them to read Volume Six first. Yes, of course these books come highly recommended but I think it is most important to stress that they should be read in the proper order, which is as follows: 1. The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe 2. Prince Caspian 3. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader 4. The Silver Chair 5. The Horse and His Boy 6. The Magician's Nephew 7. The Last Battle Please, do yourself a favor, if you are reading these books for the first time, read them in the right order.

Review: This is an excellent book!It's an adventurous fantasy of another world, Narnia. It had some old english vocabulary that I couldn't understand though. I loved it! I'm going to read all the other Narnia books but this is the only on I've finished.

Review: The well-known author of this book, C. S. Lewis, lures you into a whole new world behind a wardrobe in this imaginative heartwarming adventure. The main characters are four children who befriend a faun in the woods of Narnia ,the country behind the wardrobe. They are determined to save him and the rest of Narnia from the White Witch who cast a spell on Narnia to make it always winter, but never Christmas. Both children and adults have enjoyed this classic for years and it is now a wonderful motion picture. "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe" is the second of a seven book series describing the enchanting woods of Narnia. I guarantee, once you begin to read you won't be able to stop.

Summary: A Great Book
Review: I've read this book two or three times and it is always great. C.S. Lewis's writing is very original and friendly. The pictures are very nice and the story itself is exciting and entertaining. There are obvious allusions to the story of Jesus, but I like to think of it just as a lovely little story that really everyone can have their own interpretation to. P.S. If you think that this book is just for children, you probably aren't the type of person who would like it anyway.

Summary: AN ABSOLUTELY CHARMING SERIES
Review: Perhaps I should start by saying that I am a 44-year-old male who had never read the Narnia books before. Thus, I went into this series wondering whether this series, purportedly written for children, would appeal to my supposedly "adult" sensibilities. I needn't have worried. As most of the rest of the world seems to know already, the books are absolutely charming for readers of any age group...at least, for readers who still have a sense of wonder about them. I am writing this mini-review in "The Lion" section of Amazon rather than the "Magician's Nephew" section because I absolutely agree with the other readers who maintain that the original order of the books is the right and proper order in which to read them. The surprises that come and are explained in "The Magician's Nephew," for example, are absolutely delightful when read as Book 6; as Book 1, they have little resonance or meaning. By all means ignore the new a! nd "improved" order that the dolts at Harper Collins have imposed. These are some of the best fantasy works that I've ever read, and it's a little embarrassing that I waited so long to discover them. I think my personal favorite of the series is "The Voyage of the Dawntreader," but each book has so many exciting and memorable events and characters. I think I'm ready for the "Perelandra" trilogy now!

Review: This book (The Lion, The Witch and The Warddrobe) is the best I've ever read. The characters are both awesome and awful, the land of Narnia dances around you, sucking you into a private world which is different for everyone. The characters (both human and creature) continue to prance and gallop through my mind years after initially finishing it. It is childhood and magic caught and bound between covers, a perfect ticket to a fanciful world of splendor. I was captivated.

Review: When children have some time free, especially during summer, they will look for adventures that will keep them entertained. This is what these four children, who were having their vacation at a friend's house, were trying to do. While playing in a big and empty room they find a secret entrance that leads them to a mysterious place called Narnia. In this book the children share experiences and lessons learned that they will remember throughout their lives. During this adventure they had the opportunity to meet different "people" and help each other. This book compares with the movie "The Wizard of OZ." "The Wizard of OZ" tells about a little girl Dorothy and her journey to a magic place where she meets new friends who help her to destroy the power of a witch and save other people. The characters are similar to the ones in the Narnia book because they make the story more exciting for those who like mystery, adventure and suspense. Reading "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe" helps you to create this place in your mind, and improve your imagination. By reading this book you become part of the story and cause you to be curious to know if the four siblings find their way back home. This experience also helped the children to understand each other and leave the arguments behind when serious issues are taking place. Just when the problems appear we realize how important it is to have friends and family around to give you a hand.The story of "The Lion the Witch and hte Wardrobe" is the perfect example of trusting someone that you usually think knows less than you. The adventure in this magic place helped the four siblings to respect each other and use their imagination and courage to save their own lives.END
