Summary: Artimia Fowl
Review: This book was about Artimis Fowl and his father. one day his father gets kidnapped. A few days later he gets a message from a man who is tied up and been seriously injured. Artemis suddenly realized that it was his father. The rest of the book is about Artimis' quest to find his father. At the end there is a showdown that is realy cool. This is the part I like the most. No matter if they were good or bad, together they made a great team.

Summary: Artemis Fowl
Review: One of the things that i liked about Artemis Fowl is how it reminds me of the Lord Of The Rings, but without trying to be scary. I think that the message this book is giving is that the good always wins.

Artemis Fowl is 12 years old and has captured the fairy gold in an earlier book and is now rich. His mother's health has retrurned. However, his father, Artemis Fowl,sr, has disappeared while trying to change his family's future. He was kidnapped by the Russian Mafiya and hasbeen held by them for two years and everyone thinksa that he was dead. Artemis knows his father is not dead, especaily after he gets an email letting him know that, and he decides to find and save him. Captain Holly Short of the LEPrecon(Lower Elements Police Reconnaissance) squad, who is bored with her current assignments ( given to her because she allowed Artemis to steal her people's gold) and the two team up once again. the two must stop a pxie from taking over a world, get to the Arctic in the world where Artemis' father is held, and rescue him. Nothing is easy fr them and they have to use technology to do what they need. one problem - while they are trying to save worlds and rescue people, someone is trying to save worlds and stop them. Can they rescue Artemis Fowl, Sr? Can they stay alive ? Will they be able to do everything they need and make some new friends along the way? Read Artemis Fowl: The Artic Incident fo find out!

Summary: Artemis Fool
Review: The book Artemis Fool was a very exsiting book. My faviort part was when artemis has to deal with the leperacons. A funny part in the story was when artemis trips over a rock. What I think about the book is that it is a great adventure, and I suggest that my whole class should read it. The books massage is to tell you to stand - up for what you want and to accomplish your task that is given. When another book of Artemis Fool comes out I really ,really want to read about it .

Summary: Artemis is Back!
Review: In his next adventure, Artemis sets off to find his father accompanied by (of course) Butler and surprisingly with Holly Short and Commander Root. Definitely worth while and amazingly funny these books are much better then Harry Potter! Artemis is my favorite. He's witty, genius, brave, and (yes it's true!) caring sometimes. Artemis is accually a lot nicer in this book then the first one, though he was still my favorite when I read the first one! Can't wait for the movie!

Summary: An Exciting Adventure
Review: A Review by Chris

Artemis Fowl is a 13 year old genius. He comes from a very wealthy family, that has a large criminal record. A while back Artemis lost his father in a boating accident. Ever since the accident he has been desperately searching for him, until one day when he received a mysterious e mail. It was a ransom note. A Russian mob had found his father and was holding him for a very high ransom. It is now up to Artemis and his Butler to rescue him.

One thing I enjoyed about this book was the unique characters. There was a younge genius (Artemis), a combat specialist (Butler), and a kleptomaniac dwarf (Mulch). The large array of characters makes the story both interesting and funny. Another thing I liked about this book was the fat that it was a fast reading book and that it contained a lot of humor. I read this novel in only two days. The plot of the story really makes you want to keep on reading. Its hard to put down. The last thing that I really liked about The Arctic Incident was the fact that they were able to continue right were that last book ended. I though it was pretty neat when they brought back all of the old characters like Mulch Diggums and Foaly.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys adventure books. It's a very fun book and it reads very fast. It has a lot of action in it so you'll never get bored.

Summary: The sequal holds up strong!
Review: The only reason I give it four stars is because I'm not sure whether or not I like the change in Artemis in this book. He's not the devious criminal mastermind like in the first book but all the same it's wonderful to watch him grow as a character. In keeping with the storyline, now that his mother has returned to him, it's very natural that we see a little lighter side of Artemis. I was just such a fan of the idea that Artemis was the bad guy in the first book and it was so different that I guess I like the first book better. But this is an absolute must read for any fan. This book is a lot like an fantastick book called Playtrain that I just read, where a school bully is the hero and we watch him undergo a transformation. It's a great twist and a lot of fun to read about the bad guys instead of the typical nerds who always win in the end. I'm also very happy to see some of the old characters come back in this sequal. Mulch Diggin's rules! What keeps this book on it's toes like always is Captin Holly short.

So if you like books like Artemis Fowl, Harry Potter, Playtrain, The Thief Lord, A series... you'll love this book!

Summary: A bit dissapointing...
Review: I was really excited when the second Artemis Fowl book, but when I read it , some parts seemed incomplete. The action scenes were hard to follow at times, and the plot dragged here and there.

This book had a great ending though! Foaly and Mulch Diggums are both in this book, so it can't be all bad! Atemis seems more human in this book. I'm not sure if that's good or bad. His evil side was a breath of fresh air from the usual reluctant hero-type charachters in the first book, but I like this side of him too.

I liked this book and would recommend it if you enjoyed the first one. i hoep the Enternity Code lives up to the first Artemis Fowl!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Not as good.
Review: I wasn't as impressed by this sequel as I was by the original. Artemis lacks his evil side and appears to have turned over a new leaf. I didn't particularly like this as I found him to be much more original as a villain.

However, the villains this time round are the Russian Mafia, Cudgeon and Opal Koboi. Artemis, Butler, Holly and Root must join forces and help each other out if these foes are to be beaten. It sounds interesting but in it's relentlessly fast pace coherence and logic are lost. Colfer doesn't describe particular scenes very well (the chaos on the radioactive train, the siege outside police plaza) and it's a bit of a confusing read. Plus whenever the plot cuts to Foaly's trouble it slows too much.

It was cool to see the return of Mulch Diggums tho and his subplot of stealing a whole collection of Academy Awards is interesting enough to not distract from the main action. Tho the character's I have problems with are Root and Butler. They never really seem to do much or have any depth. Butler is basically a machine with no character, his sister Juliet was okay in the first book but both she and Mrs Fowl are missing from this entry.

Colfer really ought to describe the action more vividly as without decent description the excitement is lost. I still look forward to the forthcoming Artemis Fowl and the Eternity Code and I would still recommend this to those who enjoyed the first. It's not as good but still worth it. My copy is the hardback with the glittery wraparound cover, get that one, it looks really neat. 3.5/5
