Summary: Wait there is still more to come.
Review: Artimis Fowl takes a chance in rescuing his father from the Russian Moyfia but knows he cannot do it alone so he makes a deal with LEPrecon, Holly Short. The deal was he helps them defeat the B'wa Kell goblins in return they help him save his father. But what Artimis dosen't know is that Holly Short and himself are becomeing a great team together. The end is very well worded and will keep you on the edge of your seat. It made me wonder if there was a third book. And to my pleasure there was and I read it withen two days like all the others. I know everyone who reads this book will never want to stop. So just be preparred that you will be brought into another world witch you won't want to leave. I still haven't!

Summary: Artemis Fowl 2
Review: Artemis Fowl two is a very interesting book. Once you pick it up you can't put it down! i do not recommend this book to children who are under the third grade level or even third grade level because they might confuse the real world with the imaginary fairy's and fairy tale characters. But it is a wonderful book to read and it is one of the best books i have ever read. If you are into fairytale books and action fiction books this is the book for you! It is about Artemis Fowl trying to find his father in russia where a mafiya is holding him hostage. And then in the fairy world there is major caos! Two evil doers that every one thought were innocent are trying to take over the fairy world And the human world once they are done with the fairy world but in the end everyone is saved and Artemis Fowl has his father again!

Summary: Still a great read
Review: I was a great fan of the first Artemis Fowl and however much I would like to say that the second outshines the first...it doesn't.Although it is a very good plot I don't believe this book was carried out to its full potential. Don't get me wrong, its a very nice story and all, just a little bit a let down. This is kind of a get-from-library-never-read-again sort of book. the whole lets-save-my-father thing is sweet and theres lots of lovely deciet and big fights. A loely smash-em-up-then-save-em book. Like I said, get it from the library.

Summary: Artemis Fowl the Arctic Incident
Review: Artemis Fowl the arctic incident by Eoin Colfer is an exciting book. It is a fantasy book and has many creatures like Fairies, Centaurs, Leprechauns, and even digging Dwarfs. What happens in the story is that Artemis gets an e-mail from the Russian Mafia saying that they have his father hostage and he wasn't really dead like the whole world thought he was. Meanwhile, underground in the fairy world LEPrecon police are trying to solve a mystery about who is trying to smuggle illegal batteries between the two worlds of fairies and the "Mud Men" humans. The police are too confused with their situation that they ask for Artemis to help them. They have met each other in the previous book Artemis Fowl.
Artemis is the boy with the really high I.Q.; Butler is the body guard that has been with Artemis since he was born. Foaly is a centaur and a computer whiz, Captain Holly Short is a skilled LEPrecon police woman, Commander Root is the temperamental leader, and Mulch Diggums is the tag along that they added to their team at the last minute because they needed his digging skills.
The characters go through tough times in the book when they have to work together and use their courage and skills to stay alive. Foaly stays underground for most of the time holding the teams hand but later gets locked in his office by his worst enemy and looses contact with the team. Don't worry; he cleverly tricks his nemesis and escapes. Through out the adventure Holly Short and Artemis start to get used to each other and stop hating each other. Holly nearly looses a finger because of Artemis but thanks to his quick thinking, and probably guilt, saves her. Commander Root and Mulch Diggums are the only characters on the team that still get on each others nerves once in a while.
Over all this is an excellent book. It is very exciting, confusing and twists and turns many times. It has a great plot with an interesting story.

Summary: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Oh thats a good one!
Review: Clever and sarcastic...it is soooo hilarious! You have to read it. It really makes you feel good if you read it before bed (under the covers with a torch). I almost gave myself away by laughing too loudly...you have to get this book. All I can keep saying is it's funny. Oh and it's gripping of course. YOU WILL REGRET IT IF YOU DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK...YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED...DON'T MISS OUT. Even when artimus is a little, evil, scheming, selfish little boy, Colfer manages to get you to feel sorry for him! He has talent.

Summary: Very great page turner
Review: This book will keep you wanting to turn the page and get going. It is one of the best books I have ever read and everyone who has read it will probably agree with me. No matter your age your head will be spinning and your mouth will be asking for more.

Summary: Some unsettling terminology
Review: I'm reading this book for Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic, and have to say I'm troubled by some of Colfer's terminology. According to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), "The Identity Church movement, a diabolical mixture of racism, anti-Semitism, and religion, teaches that Anglo-Saxons are the Jews described in the Bible, that Jews are the descendants of Satan, and that Blacks and other minorities are inferior 'mud people'." Colfer uses "mud people" and variations on it as the standard reference to surface dwellers throughout the book. I know the author is Irish, not American, and may not be aware of the use (or mis-use) of the term, but his American publisher certainly should be.

If Scholastic Books can change the title of "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" to "Sorcerer's Stone" for distribution in the USA, then Hyperion should be able to edit the Artemis Fowl series to get rid of this objectionable, and unfortunately American-based, slur.

Summary: FowlFan
Review: Artemis Fowl two is awesome. Its even better than the first. It begins with Artemis in boarding school in Ireland. He gets a plea from a man that he thought dead: his father. He ends up teaming up with Holly and the LEPrecon so he could save one of the only people he loves.
I dont think Artemis gets enough credit. They think he's evil, but I think he doesn't know any better. His entire family is in to illegal activity.

Summary: Better then the first!!
Review: Eoin Colfer seems to have a great way with stringing together just the right words. He did it again with this amazingly great book that is the sequel to the critically acllaimed Artemis Fowl. This book was even better and I just got lost in the wonderful story and only Lemony Snicket's books and the Harry Potter books have managed to do what Artemis Fowl:The Artic Incident has done for me. This book is really just that good. The fascinating story with fairies and technology and a sinisterly good, good guy make this book in my top 15 or top 10.

Summary: Artemis does it again
Review: Artemis Fowl The Artic Incident is an awesome sequel to the first book. Eoin Colfer, has once again created irresistable characters and we the readers are unable to put the book down until we find out what is going to happen to them.

Artemis is back and in top form. He has received word that his father is alive and being held hostage. Artemis has been instructed to deliver a very large ransom, but he has other plans. Using fairy technology and the help of captain Holly Short, and commander Julius Root, Artemis hatches his most dangerous plan yet. Over in Fairy World a former captain in the LEPrecon division is trying to take over...with the help of some unlikely creatures.

Will Artemis save his father in time? Will the evil captain take over the Fairy World? How will Captain Short make Artemis return the favor? I warned you...you won't be able to put this book down...
