Rating: Summary: Connor gives this book 5 stars Review: I liked reading Artemis Fowl because there wre two main plots. Once one got boring the other part came in and made you keep on reading the book. This book was more exciting than the first one, but also more confusing. My favorite part was when Mulch Breaks into Maggie V's Apartment and trys to steal her Oscar. He meets up with some vicious dogs, but gets out by barking at them. The dogs freeze, and Mulch jumps out the window. That's just one of the great parts in this book. This book has a magnificent ending that nobody would expect.Artemis Fowl is a thirteen-year-old boy who finds out that the Russian Mafia has taken his dad..They demand Five million dollars for his dad's return .The LEP is also having a problem. They need to know who is trading supplies like softnoses to the goblins. The goblins are using these weapons against the LEPrecon. At the end you would be surprised what Aretimis Fowl does to save his father. People who like Suspence, Surprise, and Action will love this book. You don't need to like all those things to like book. If you read the first Artemis Fowl book and liked it this is a must read book for you. Fantasy is also a big part in this book. So fantasy lovers should read this book too.
Rating: Summary: Suspenseful and Funny Review: A Review by Danielle Artemis Fowl, The artic Incident, is about a boy named Artemis Fowl. Artemis is a 15 year old boy. Artemis is a very smart boy, in fact he is a genius. Artemis is also a criminal, just like his father. Artemis' father was a criminal for a very long time, that is until he was captured. Artemis' father made a lot of money during his years as a criminal, and when his father was taken Artemis carried on the tradition. Artemis has made thousands of dollars scamming people and doing exactly what his father did. Now he fears his father is dead he hasn't seen him in two years. Artemis gets a mysterious video email and realizes now that his father is alive but in the hands of the Russian Mafia. Artemis must save his father but how....? I really like this book. It was suspenseful and funny. This book is the sequel to Artemis Fowl. This book, The Artic Incident explains and goes into a lot more detail than the first book. I like the fact that it goes into a lot of detail so I really understand the book and what is going on. The book has so much detail that I am sure someone who hasn't read the book would completely understand the book. I had read the other book a long time ago, and still I understood the book and what was happening even though it had been so long. I would recommend this book to people who really like fantasy books like Harry Potter and are really into reading. These books take a lot of time to finish they are quite long. Even though they are long these books are long they are worth the time to read.
Rating: Summary: I liked this one better than the first one I think because I Review: knew what to expect. They're about a boy named Artemis Fowl who is something of a child-prodigy criminal mastermind. In the first one his goal was to steal some gold from some leprecons, and in this one he teamed up with them to help rescue his father from the Russian mafia. No, I didn't spell leprecon wrong - part of the premise of this book is that LEPrecon actually stands for Lower Elements Patrol reconnaissance - it takes faeries and leprechauns and goblins and things and gives them a new twist, making them into a strong force that lives underground and is very modern and highly evloved. It's kinda interesting, but at first I thought it was cheezy. This one was better because I was more used to the idea.
Rating: Summary: Three Sylables: A - MAZ - ING!!! Review: Someone has been selling CLASS A illegal human power sources (Batteries) to the goblins. But the goblins can't have been smart enough to buy them, and what for anyway? And that means only one thing, the faeries are in contact with the mud people. The banned weapons, the softnose lasers, have a new use. To be used on the LEPrecon unit. The goblins, led by Briar Cudgeon and Opal Koboi, are starting a war on the LEPrecon unit and the Faeries need help, Artemis Fowl... A Fantastic Read!! A+++
Rating: Summary: THIS BOOK IS A BOOK FOR ALL AGES Review: This book iis about a crimanal mastermind but theres a twist he does stuff with the fairies!!!!! Only in this book he needs the fairies help to find his long lost father, whom everyone, but Artimis, thought was dead. Also the fairies need Artemis underground because Artemis and his butler, Butler will be able to track a human who is selling batteries to a deadly group of goblins called the B'WaKell. So Artemis and the fairies deal with both the problems in this action packed book.
Rating: Summary: Not as good as I expected Review: I was disapointed in the book Artemis Fowl And the Arctic Incident. I feel that Eoin Colfer didn't create as much action, wit, or drama as he did in the first book. In this book you see from the eyes of a fairy and a boy mastermind. The plot of this story is complex but basically is based on the fact that a Russian Mafiya has Artemises father, and Opal Koboi is trying to take over the fairy world and eventually the WHOLE world. I wish I saw more wit from Foaly, Artemis, and Cpt. Short. The lack of suspense was disappointing. Sorry, I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone.
Rating: Summary: Great book Review: Eion Cofler has done it again! He has made another Astonishing book to the series of Artemis Fowl books. The Arctic incident is about when Artemis gets a video e-mail of footage of his of the one person in the world he loves and thought was dead his father! The footage shows him tied up to a chair in a submarine in the arctic. Artemis has to round up and persuade his arch nemesis Holly Short to help him save the one person he loves most. They have to go through gruesome environments to get the job done right. They find out that the Russian mafia is the kidnappers of his father. Eion has done a great job and should keep going.
Rating: Summary: Review for School Book Report Review: This book has a lot of emotion. Sometimes the book is so funny that you can't help but brust out laughing. I found out that Artemis isn't really a mad criminal, but just a boy looking for his father. He needs money and stuff to find him, which led to commiting crime. I think Artemis is a good kid and if I can tell him, I would say that he should use his brain on something else more useful.
Rating: Summary: Artemis Fowl Review: My rating is 3 because it is a very exciting book and it keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time. It was an exciting and interesting story about a kid and his dad. Artemis Fowl is this dude who is 12 years old and he is a criminal mastermind. He gets in trouble a lot by the fairy police. He isn't a very good kid but he shure smart. First, Artemis finds out his dad got kidnapped. Then Artemis goes on a search for his dad. After that Artemis has to go team up with his archenemy Holly Short. Then he gets in a big war and at the end... Whoops! I can't tell you! I would recommend this book because it is interesting and exciting. People who would like this book should be adventurous and crazy.
Rating: Summary: Excellent read Review: This book, "so fresh and so clean", caught my eye at the school library. I had read the first Artemis Fowl book about a year or two ago, but I was left craving for more of the devious, delightful boy genius. I checked out the book, and I was not disappointed. This picked up after the incident back in book 1 ... a lot of the same characters were there, with the reappearance of Mulch Diggums, who was "thought dead", and the wonderful Foaly (sarcastic technology-literate centaur) ... Artemis receives a file that looked like it was his missing father... so he decides to go out and rescue his father, who is held captive by the Russian Mafiya (but Artemis soon realizes he needs the help of fairies...) Meanwhile, the fairies are experiencing all this mess with goblins and a hunger-power pixie... okay, anyway, not to give anything away, it was all the way suspenseful to the last page. I kept on wondering if Captain Holly Short was going to make it, if Artemis would be okay, etc. etc. Eoin Colfer did a supreme job here of weaving a tale. However, I thought very little of the book was dedicated to the actual rescuing of Artemis Fowl Sr., so I was a little disappointed in that aspect, but besides that, very good read...
