Rating: Summary: excellent Review: this book is very good. I have read all of e.b white's books and they are all good, but his one and charlottes web are his best.
Rating: Summary: Louis having a disability of not speaking. Review: The Trumpet of the Swan is a great book.E.B. White can really make animals come to life. What a talent!!
Rating: Summary: A CAPTIVATING STORY! Review: E.B White is indeed a remarkable children story writer. Trumpet Of The Swan tells the story of a swan borned mute. Though he was handicapped, he was hardworking in learning different skills such as writing to communicate with the others and especially playing the trumpet to pursue his love. This story shows that love should be found in someone who have the inner beauty and should not just base on the appearance of people and handicapped people can also succeed in doing things that normal people can do, it is just a matter of will.
Rating: Summary: From this book you can learn the relationship about swans. Review: Sam, a boy, who loves wildlife, one day found a pair of trumpeter swans, the female was laying eggs. When his father finds out about this, he travels to Billings, Montana. There he steals a valuable brass trumpet. Louis practices very hard on the trumpet. Then Sam takes Louis to his school, where he learned to write. He wrote to Louis that he needs a job. He finds jobs everywhere. Read to find out how Louis pays off the brass trumpet.
Rating: Summary: Best of E.B White! Review: Great kids book! Full of humor and saddness.Once you pick it up, ya can't put it down. Occasional dull moments. I ain't not got no eb white book bestest than this here!

Rating: Summary: This E.B White book is one of the best ever! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Review: This book is the best book E.B White has ever written, it's called the Trumpet of the Swan!!!!! This book is about a baby swan that is born with out a voice and he meets a boy named Sam Beaver! The swan's name is Louis, whose father steals a trumpet so he can talk for his loving Serena. So Louis wants to pay back the store keeper in Billings. Louis goes to many places to make money to pay him. Louis is taught how read and write and that is how he talks to people. The places Louis went for money are called Camp Kookooskoos, Boston at the Ritz, Philadelphia and the Red Rock Lakes!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Best Classic in USA Review: This is my favoruite book because of the challenge Louis the Swan has until Sam Beaver comes and helps him.
Rating: Summary: This is the best book in the whole entire world! Review: I like this book because it's funny, sad and nice. My favorite part is when the swan's dad says that he glides through the water "swanlike" and then the swan's mom says to the dad "you wouldn't glide mooselike would you?"
Rating: Summary: A heart-warming story of nature and virtues. Review: E.B. White has written another heart-warming story of nature and animal life. Louis is an exceptional swan, a talented musician, loyal friend, and honorable and honest character. He becomes a friend of Sam Beaver, an animal lover and helpful, considerate, clever eleven year old boy. Louis is born without a voice, a difficult fate for a trumpeter swan, especially in finding a mate. Sam and Louis's father assist him in overcoming this great obstacle. The adventures and phases in Louis's life take the reader across countries, to large urban centers, and quiet, remote forests and ponds. The reader becomes attached to Louis and wants for him to find success and happiness. Louis grows, matures and develops into an accomplished, fulfilled trumpeter swan all before the reader's eye. It is a nice, happy story about goodness and virtues, that is well worth reading.
