Review: This book was adout winn-dixie and opal.opal fine winn-dixie in a growsher store and she clean him up.and opap is really nice and she let oits co,e to the birthdayparty .andsome time she mean she had call some boyz some blond heand babyas.and she is funny to she said go get thin boyz. and she was mad because she had lost her dog and she hand gol maner at her dad because she lost her mom and so opal hade find her dog i like this book because it remende me of some thing one time my dad had let mwe go in the stor and lat me buy a sotut and me son candy and it was fun.

Review: In the story Because of Winn-Dixie, the main character is Opal and Winn-Dixie. Opal saves this dog from going to the dog pound. She names it Winn-Dixie,she cleaned Winn-Dixie and she ask her dad if she can keep it.Opal didn't have no friends at first but when she went to the libery Opal made a new friend.She made a another friend named Sweaty-Pie.Sweaty-Pie is 5 years old. Sweaty-Pie invites Oppal to her party.Opal was very exited to go to the party!!!

Winn-Dixie from going to the dog pound because Winn-Dixie was behaving very wildly in the store.And in this story Winn-Dixie will help Opal find alot of new friends,old friends,and young friends!!!!And this story book is a fiction book.
If you like dogs and meeting new friends this is a very good book for you to read to your friends,read by yourself,and to read to your family.

Review: WoW, I think this book was awesome. Kate DiCamillo is an excellent writer. If you like a good laugh and dogs this is the book for you. You read about India Opal Buloni and her dog Winn-Dixie's adventures. It all started when Opal went to Winn-Dixie to get some white rice, mac-and-cheese, two tomatoes for her dad, the preacher. Noone expected her to come back with a dog though. The problem is that Opal is new to her town Naomi, Florida. She's just a ten year old girl trying to fit in. I personally really enjoyed the book:) ~*AsHleY*~

Review: My 8 year old son was required to read this book for his 3rd grade reading project. He is not a great reader and it is sometimes like pulling teeth to get him to sit down with a book. He sat down with Because of Winn Dixie one night after supper and by ten o'clock that evening, he was still engrossed in this book. Amazing! It evidently sparked his imagination and interest in a way no other book ever had so I decided to read it myself. It is indeed a lovely,touching book about heartbreak and loss, strength ,renewal and, most importantly, love.The characters really come alive, especially India Opal Buloni and her cherished mutt, Winn-Dixie. I found it hard to put this book down myself and I certainly understand my son's interest in it. This isjust a great book, destined to become a perennial favorite of American schoolchildren and a classic piece of children's literature. Bravo!

Is a wonderful book about a very lonely girl,with having no mother for almost her entire life,it has been very hard for her ,and not to mention her father whom almost never has time for her,because he is always caught up in his work!!!!Then just when India Opal started to feel like the world would go on but she would always stay the same!!A wonderful dog Which she named Winnie-Dixie showed up and life began to wake up with wonderful suprises!!!!So if you like to read heart warming books with a bit of adventure at a good steady pace!!Pick up Because of Winnie-Dixi Soon!!

Summary: The Best Read This Summer
Review: This book is one of the best I have read this year. The story is totally believable: India Opal Buloni is a girl with serious problems like an alchoholic mother who abandoned her when she was a baby, a father who never pays any attention to her and having to move to a new town were she has no friends. Opal has to deal with this situation but not alone - she has the help of Winn-Dixie a big, ugly, stray dog she found in the Winn-Dixie super market.
Winn-Dixie helps Opal to make new friends, who help her to understand that life is a mixture of happiness and sorrow.
Also her father begins to understand how Opal feels so sad and lonely without her mother.He starts to change for his daughter. So by the end of the book Opal accepts that her mother will probably never come home but that she has a father who loves her and friends who will be there for her.
So now her life is happy but also with a touch of sadness.
