Summary: A Really Great Dog
Review: Because of Winn-Dixie is a really amazing book. If yu like books that have a great beginning, pretty good middle, and even better end, the I suggest you pick this book. The main characters in this book are mostly about Opal and Winn-Dixie. They met when Opal went to the grocery shop to buy tomatoes, some white rice, and a bag of macaroni and cheese. They went here and there together. Opal didn't want to leave Winn-Dixie, and Winn-Dixie didn't want to leave Opal. Even though Winn-Dixie was ugly, Opal still loved him, and lots of good things happened because of him. Opal and Winn-Dixie met lots of friends, but Opal didn't have a mom. She wished that her mom was there to see Winn-Dixie, but she wasn't there. Winn-Dixie made Opal's life even better than it ever was.

Summary: You Have To Read This Book!
Review: The story is about a girl named India Opal Buloni and her dog Winn-Dixie. Winn-Dixie was really important to Opal, a 10 year-old girl who had just moved to the new town of Naomi, Florida. He helped her become less lonely and make new friends, become closer to her father the preacher, and learn about her mom. The book was sad in some places because Opal's mom had deserted her for seven years and her dad didn't have time for her because preachers are so busy. One friend Opal made was Miss Franny Block. Miss Franny was a librarian who told stories to Opal and Winn-Dixie. Opal made friends who kind of substituted for her missing mother. I recommend this book to teachers so they could read it to their kids, because the kids will enjoy it. The characters Opal meets are funny and parts of the book made everyone in class laugh, like when Miss Franny thought Winn-Dixie was a bear. Read this book.

Summary: A Good Book!
Review: This book is about a girl named India Opal Buloni. She was in a grocery store buying some food when she heard the store manager yell "Get this dog out of here!" When she heard that, she said that it was her dog, which she quickly named Winn-Dixie after the store. She left, went home, and talked her father, the preacher, into letting her keep it. Opal's mom left when she was 3, and her dad moved her to Naomi, Florida. She didn't have any friends. One day, at the Herman W. Block Memorial Libary, she met Miss Franny Block, who thought Winn-Dixie was a bear. Later, Opal met other friends and got over missing her mom. I liked the story because its about the importance of family and friends. I definitely recommend this book to adults and children all over the world.

Summary: I Loved This Book!
Review: The book was about a girl named India Opal Buloni. When she goes to the store to buy some food, she hears the manager yell "Who let a dirty dog in here?" Opal says "It's my dog." When the manager asks what the dog is named, she says the first name that pops into her head, the name of the store. "Come here boy, come on Winn-Dixie." Then she walks home and talks her dad, the preacher, into letting her keep it. Later she makes lots of new and different friends, by going to places like the Herman W. Block Memorial Library. When she left Winn-Dixie outside, he causes trouble by making the librarian, Miss Franny Block, think he's a bear. The book is really funny, and sad in places because Opal was deserted by her mother. This book is interesting because of the unusual characters in it: 5 year-old Sweetie Pie Thomas; Dunlap and Stevie Dewberry, the bald-headed boys; Otis the pet shop employee who plays a guitar to calm the animals; and Gloria Dump, a suspected witch. I highly recommend this book to other kids and adults.

Summary: I Really Liked Our Class Read Aloud Book!
Review: This is a book about a girl named India Opal Buloni. She went to the grocery store and saw the manager standing and shouting out "Who let a dirty dog in here?" Opal adopted the dog and took it home. Opal's mother left her when she was little, but her friends become like her mom. Opal likes to go to the library with Winn-Dixie because she liked to hear stories from Miss Franny Block. Opal's dad is a preacher and Opal does't have friends because her family moved to a new town. Her mom left her when she was only 3 years old. I like the way Opal found Winn-Dixie in the grocery store and how she found a job in a pet store because she wanted to earn money to buy a leash and a collar for Winn-Dixie. I recommend this book to kids that are interested in reading a good book unusual people becoming friends. I also recommend this book to teacher's so they can read it to kids.

Summary: 100% Breathtaking
Review: "Because of Winn-Dixie" is the best book I've ever read, next to "Gone with the Wind." It's full of emotion, sorrow, love, and hope. All the characters are very vivid and have a personality of their own, even Winn-Dixie, India Opal's dog. I reccommend this book highly.

Summary: Review
Review: Because of Winn-Dixie is a wonderful book. Most readers ages from 9 to 12 should love the story. As a fifth grade teacher, I had used it as a read aloud twice and students again and again comment on how much they enjoy the book. For those students I get who did not hear my read alouds, but have chosen to read it silently also comment that they really like the book. It is a sweet story. I love the way Opal found the dog and how the dog got his name! That was a creative edge on the part of the author.
