Review: India Opal is ten years old and does not have a mom or any friends.Opals mom left her when she was just a little girl. Winn-Dixie helps her because he gives her a friend.It was because of Winn-Dixie that her dad changed from being a grumpy old turtle to being a nice guy.Also it was because of Winn-Dixie that she met her friends like Gloria and Otis.She met gloria because he jumped in her yard.She met Otis because she wanted to give him a fancy red leather collar.It was also because of Winn-Dixie that she found a dog and a friend.

Gloria Dump and Opal got to be really good friends. Then Opal decinded that Winn Dixie needed a collar. Opal did not have enough money to get the one she ask for so she asked Otis if she could work until she got it paid for. That is how she met Otis. Review: The small town of Naomi has a lot of suprises coming it's way.First Opal and the preacher move to Naomi.Then Opal finds Winn-Dixie when he is wrecking the produce aisle at the store.Then Opal gets a job at Gertude Pets.To pay for Winn-Dixie's collar and leash.Then she finds out the animals listen while Ottis play and sing with his guitar.After that Opal and Gloria Dump (friend) through a party with Gloria,Opal,Gertude,Sweetie Pie,Ottis,preacher,Miss Fanny,Amanda and the Dewberry Boys.If you like suprises you will love Because of Winn-Dixie

She tries to meet new friends and she finds Dunlap and Stevie.India also finds Franny Block and Gloria Dump a widow. She finds Otis a worker at a pet store.India Opal ends up being loved at the end of Because Of Winn-Dixie by haveing a party with many of her friends.I incourage you to read this book because Opal finds many friends that love her.

Winn-Dixie and Opal first went to the Herman W.Memorial Block Library. The libraryan is a little scared of Winn-Dixie because she thinks he is a bear. Next they go for a walk and see a old lady sitting on a lawn chair.Then she walks over and asks for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Last they go to Gertudes Pets to look at collars. In conclusion Winn-Dixie and Opal make many friends during this book.
