Review: The reason why I gave Because of Winn-Dixie 5 stars is because I really like the way the arthor described the people in the book and the way she detailed them and the way she described Winn-dixie and the only thing I did'nt like about it was that was the ending. I had really hoped that the ending turned out diffrent. But other than that it was a terrific book. Review: I think it's half and half because of these two reasons: I think it's a bad book because they didn't put what happened to someone that Opal(main character)loved and missed very much.I think it's a good book because it has alot to do with feelings about Opal and how she solved them with cool solutions. The # 1 reason why I like this story is because I love when they put the main character a girl, because I'm a girl. :)

Summary: Insightful, appropriate, and excellently written
Review: I bought this book for my then-7-year-old daughter based on others' recommendations. We ended up reading the entire book aloud in 2 days. I was extremely impressed with the writing, both for its style and its content. The author does a marvelous job of capturing the style and diction of the southern characters, and gives each one a complex personality. As for content, I thought it had just enough heavy subject matter and philosophical reflection to make it a valuable read (messages about death, family, friendship, loyalty, bravery), mixed with plenty of lighthearted adventure and exploration, narrated with classic story-telling charm. My daughter brought it in to her 2nd grade class and her teacher liked it so much that she read it to the entire class. *Highly* recommended.

my book taks place in Florida there is a little girl named India Opla Buloni.She is ten years old .She found an ugly dog in the store called Winn-Dixie.The dog knocked all the ffods off the shelfs.The onwergot real mad and said who's dog is that!! India said that is my dog, the owner said India get that dog out of my store!! What do you think happend next?
The three things I like about this book is,this book has a very interesting plot,the charters were very different,thses book has a dog in it and i like dogs.I would recommend this book to people in middle school and up.
