Review: Out of a 5 Iwould give this book a 3.5. It was a good book but not my favorite. Some parts confused me a little. I liked the book for these reasons. It had a great plotline. Just when you think Maniac's unstoppable he stops. Some parts were very sad and some were very happy especially with Grayson. It tells about Maniac the legend and what he was before that. This book has action,suspense,death, and friendship. The book goes through a lot of emotions. If you like all of this then I suggest you read this.

Review: I personally hated Maniac Magee.I am a person who likes suspense and will only read stuff like that. If it wasn't for the school requirements I would never had read it.First, it's pretty slow starting. Also the actions that happen in the book are really boring or stupid.Some parts of the book were so boring I had to read them more than 3 times.Also the setting I really did not care for.It's about a poor orphaned boy who runs away and ends up in a town called Two Mills that is seperated into two sections-- one for blacks and the other for whites.After he is there for a while, strange things start to happen.

It depends what kinds of books you like to read also. If you like fantasy or realistic fiction you would love the book! I love suspense so I really hated it. But I have to admit Jerry Spinelli likes to play with words!

Review: Even though I am not a real fan of Spinelli's, this is one of his best books with it being provoking, breath-taking, and amazing. Spinelli has a good style to make the characters seem so real, and a have a white boy have the amazing power to interact with black people and fit right in. There are some parts though that I really do not like, like the end. It's not the most understandable but even if you want to become a stronger reader and if you want to read an outstanding, mind-boggling, good book you should read Maniac Magee.

Review: I will tell you about the book but I won't give it away. You'll have to read it yourself! Read this twisting tale of an orphan trying to live in a cold, harsh world with prejudice, friendship, love and hate. I recently read this book and thought it was amazing. Jerry Spinelli ( the author ) was great. Order this book and take a trip into reality and fiction. Although I've read this book only once I still think it's spectacular. I hope you think the same. I also hope you have learned a lot about the book from this review!

Review: I liked the book a lot.I liked how Jerry Spinelli was very desriptive and how he used the character to exspress diffrent fellings.Maniac Magee went through diffrent conflics and solves them.I thought that Amanda was very kind to Maniac and took him into her home.I liked how Maniac thought that there should not be barriers between black and white people.Grayson is a ne guy. I did not like that when Maniac has a home at Amanda's house but then runs.

Review: Maniac Magee is a wonderful book! Jerry Spinelli played with the reader'S mind in this book. He makes the ordinary,unordinary. This book is a book for all ages(from ages 4-104). Maniac brings everyone togther. Jerry Spinelli doesn't use just plain words, he uses extraordinary words. He is a great author-- everyone should be reading his book. This is the first Jerry Spinelli book I have read but I will always keep reading his books.

Review: I give Maniac Magee four stars.The reason I like this book is because,it isn't like any ordinary book.Jerry Spinelli is a very odd author.He takes you for a roller coaster ride in his books.He uses simple words to make a complicated sentence.When you read this book you won't get it the first time but read it again!The second time you read this book you will get it.I think you should do this with all of his books, I recommend it (it's a good strategy).So give Maniac Magee some of your time-- you might learn to enjoy it.

Review: this is a story abouta boy who is just trying to find himself he needs a couple of things and cant find them with....well then i would spoil a main detail .this story quickly changes from happy to sad , understandalbe to non-understandable . spinelli wrights awsome books but this is his best!though the chaps are short,( it helps with homework )this is my favorite ! i recomen this book to people who love sad happy and dramatic all together.recently im reading "crash"but i like maniac magee better !!!
