Summary: I Wasn't Such a "Maniac" Over This Book
Review: Maniac Magee was a good book but out of the 160 pages or so about 20-25 was deatails. I think he did use creative words though. If he didn't spend so much time describing everything then I think a lot more people would have liked the book. Though a few parts of the book that I read I thought were cool but he has too much deatail. He could have made the plot better and the story longer and kept the same amount of detail and I would have loved the story. Though I would highly suggest the story to little kids, people who love detailed stories, or parents. If I had some more time to read this book then i might have liked it better (one sign this a book the schools read which makes it a good book). Well thats my opinion and some others may agree with it and some may not.

Review: I think the way Jerry Spinelli writes the book, drags you in. He gets you so involved and interested, but sometimes it seems so unrealistic. Maniac does some pretty astonishing things that most realistic people can't do. The book has sad parts and then it's back to happiness. The book Maniac Magee is a very emotional novel. All the charactors that you meet will have different attitudes and personalities. Most of the conflicts that occur in Maniac Magee can occur in your everyday life. The book is about conflicts and the decisions each character makes. I know Maniac is happy were he is and you'll find out when once you read it.

Review: Maniac Magee was a very realistic and touching story. The only way that you can tell is if you find your self being mad or feeling sad for a character-- Jerry Spinelli has sucked you into the book. He uses informal and informal language. Details as I mentioned before, were very realistic. Some of the events in the book, you can relate to in your everyday life. Parts of this book are confusing,but that's the way Spinelli writes.

Summary: Astonishing...The Story of a running,scraggly kid
Review: I have read many books in my life and this is one of the best.It is a non-real story but it sounds so real.Jerry takes real life crises and puts them into the story.Here is this scraggly little kid with...Wait...I can't tell you that.Jerry went back to when kids of differant color couldn't play with each other. Jerry made it so real I could have sworn I was there and saw the whole thing. I think he has a very strong imaginative brain, for stories, words and other things. In the story Maniac states how he takes care of so many problems and life crises at once. In the story I became happy, sad, and even angry at the characters. The book helped me with a problem I had because,he had a problem very close to it. Read it and it might help you too!

Review: I liked the book. The author Jerry Spinelli, gets Maniac involved with a lot of differant people. Spinelli lets us picture the characters for ourselves. Sometimes he makes us laugh, somrtimes he makes us cry.

Review: I have to admit that this book, Maniac Magee was not my favorite. I found it very confusing in a lot of parts. Now.... Like I said, this was not my favorite, but I did not hate it. Jerry Spinelli really knows how to pull you in, and throw you off. I thought that Spinelli worded his sentences in a fabulous way! I would have liked Maniac Magee better if things were explained more. I thought that in some parts Maniac was a very tough and strong person, and then in other parts he wasn't. I hope to read more of Jerry Spinelli's books, and see if he changes his style.

Review: I thought the book was ok. It was not what I thought it would be. Jerry Spinelli is an ok writer but I think that Maniac Magee was the worst book Spinelli wrote.The book is about a boy named Maniac (it was Jeffrey but he was re-born )Magee. He moves in with is aunt and uncle (Dot and Dan). During a Musicale at his school, he was re-born. They call it the birth scearm. Maniac ran out of the auditorium. He ends up in a east end black area where only black live. Jerry Spinelli likes to throw you off and bring you back in fast (like a fly away ball )If you like those kinds of books read Maniac Magee.

Review: This is one of the best books I've ever read written by a extraodinary author such as Jerry Spinelli.Even though I've only read 3 of Spinellies books,this is by far his best piece of literature.Every kid out their from 9-12 would love this book. I was amazed after Iread this book got the newberry award because some people might of thought of it as a prejuduce book. Also, this book can make kids want to run away, because of how Maniac became a hero by running away. I have only read this book once, but I think it was the BEST!

Review: Maniac Magee was a very realistic story by Jerry Spinelli.Maniac Magge is about a young boy that has to deal with the challenges of life.Maniac is a legend to some and a kid with a goal,not so hard for some people. All he wants is a home. I think Jerry made the book a little to long with too many problems in it. Parts of Maniac Magee seemed unimportant and unenjoyable to me. I thin Jerry took Maniacs personality and twisted it around for certain parts.
