Summary: A Review
Review: Maniac Magee was a book that a kid may or may not like. I didn't love Maniac Magee but
kids who like a story with a lot of different plots, people, and feelings would like this
book. I made a little summary of it for you. Maniac Magee and the town of Two Mills had
something in common they were different. Maniac lived on the road and he's only 12 and
Two Mills is divided into the East and West end, blacks in the East and whites in the
West. Maniacs parents did die when he was 3 and he did live with his aunt and uncle, but
if you lived in the house of two toasters you would too. Maniac lived lively on the road
because he lived with so many people like Amanda Beale, John Mcnab, Earl Grayson, and
even some deer and buffalo! Maniac does some weird stuff like he saves a kid from the
finsterwallies, he uncurled Cobblers Knot, and he even met a kid with a candy bar name.
Will Maniac ever move back to the house of two toasters? Will Two Mills ever be One
Mill, and where will Maniac call his home? Read Maniac Magee to find out!

Summary: Maniac Magee
Review: Maniac Magee is the best book I have ever read. I loved reading it. I waited every day to to see what was going to happen next. It is my favorite book of all time.
I liked it because the book took you through each crazy stunt Maniac tried. Maniac Magee is the coolest character I have ever read about. He is kind and brave. Yet, sad things always happen to him.
This is the best Jerry Spinelli book I have ever read. I recommend this book to everyone.

Summary: Homeless Maniac
Review: I gave Maniac Magee by Jerry Spinelli 2 stars out of 5. The book didn't explain everything as well as I wanted it to. The book is suitable for people who like reading about fictional characters that make differences. Jeffrey Lionel (Maniac) Magee is that character. He brings the East and West End of Two Mills, Pennsylvania together. This is important because there used to be a color barrier in Two Mills. The East End is where the black live and, the West End is where the white live. I remembered who lives where by remembering the W's in West and white. The book has some hard words and a lot of personification and hyperboles. To find out more about the book, read Maniac Magee by Jerry Spinelli.

Summary: Maniac Magee
Review: Jerry Spinelli wrote this supreme novel Maniac Magee. I liked this book because it was interesting and daring. There was some boring parts but over all this was a good book. During Maniac's time there was a color barrier in Two Mills. He ran 200 miles from Bridgeport to Two Mills. He ended up on the black side known as the East End. The whites were on the West End. Maniac was daring enough to not only stay there but also live on the East End with a family called the Beales. They were a good family but Maniac soon left them in search of another family. Will Maniac ever find a family as good as the Beales or will he not even find a family? Legend has it that since Maniac was fast he once raced a train "on one rail" and beat the it to the park. See Maniacs depressing life go by as you read this novel. I recommend this book to anyone who likes to cuddle up and read a good book.

Summary: Maniac,Maniac
Review: This book is about Jefferey Magee, but also known as Maniac Magee. He experience sadness all of his entire life and because of that he kept running and running and running and he stoppen at Two Mills. This town had been seperated by the East Ends and the West Ends. East are Black and West are White. Maniac couldn't really see what was happening between those two ends, but he knows that they are not going to get along anytime soon. He went to the East side, not knowing that he shouldn't be there. HThen, he spotted Amanda Beale. Amanda, being a nice girl, introduced herself to Maniac. Maniac did the same thing. They got along together until the school bell rang. Maniac ran from East to West and he continued. He got in trouvle by two bulies. One in each side. Mars Bars from the East and John Macnab from the West. But, soon enough, they became frineds. The Blacks did not accept Maniac and there were a lot of prejudice going on the book. Maniac did some crazy things and finaly, because of him, the East and the West are again united as a one town again.

Summary: Maniac Magee
Review: I am an undergraduate college student, and had to read this book for a teaching language arts class. I just wanted to share that I thought it was a great book! I'm already thinking of which of my mom's friends' kids I can tell about it because I loved it that much... It really sends a great message, focusing on the racism of a town, and basically how the main character thinks it's absolutely ridiculous. I recomend this DEFINITELY to anyone who's even thinking about reading it... I think any age would/will enjoy this!

Summary: Maniac Magee
Review: Maniac Magee is about a boy whose parents died when he was just a toddler. Maniacs' real name is Jeffrey Magee. He started living with his Aunt and Uncle at the age if 3 His Aunt and Uncle hate each other. There house has two televisions, two bathrooms, two bedroom, and if they could, they would have two Maniacs. When Maniac was about 11 years old, he ran away and started living alone on the streets. He would sleep in animal cages at zoos, ally ways, pretty much any where he could find shelter.

One day, Maniac was running down the street and met a girl named Amanda. She was carrying a suitcase filled with books. He asked her about the books and she told him that her little brother and sister like to color and write all over the pages. So she just carries them everywhere. Maniac asked her if he could borrow a book. He loved to read. When Maniac went to Amanda's house to return the book, he was introduced to Mr. and Mrs. Beales. He also met Hester and Lester, Amanda's younger brother and sister.

The Beales lived on the East end where black people lived. Maniac was born on the West end, where white people lived. When Mr. Beales drive Maniac home, Maniac kept saying next block, next block, to Mr. Beales. That's when Maniac found out that West = Whites, East = Black. Mr. Beales realized Maniac did not have a place to live, so he told Maniac he could stay with them. When Maniac went to bed, he jump up, ran outside, and look at the house address "728 Sycamore Street". Mr. and Mrs. Beaeles asked what he was doing, and Maniac said that he finally had an address.

One summer day, there was a huge neighborhood party. Pretty much everyone was their. An old man came up to Maniac and told him that he should go back home to the East end of town. Maniac responded by saying that this was his home now. After that, Maniac ran away because he did not want to cause any trouble for the Beales. When Amanda found out, she told Maniac she thought people would like him and let him stay if he could untie the knot over Cobble's Corners. This was a big knot tied in a rope that no one could untie. If he could do it, he would get one free pizza each week for a whole year. Maniac decided to try. All the news reporters and citizens came to watch. Maniac did it!

Afterwards, people still did not accept him. So he ran away again because he didn't want the Beales to get hurt anymore. His first new home was in the Buffalo cage at the Elmwood Park zoo. That's when he met an old man named Grayson. Maniac and Grayson lived in the baseball equipment storage area. On the door he wrote, "1-0-1" for his address. Grayson used to be a famous baseball player back in his day. For Christmas, Grayson gave Maniac a book. He knew how much Maniac liked to read. Grayson also gave Maniac his baseball glove, just before he died. Maniac treasured it.

Summary: A Great book for people to read
Review: Maniac Magee taught me that even though we are different thatn others, we are still a big family. Maniac Magee is a boy who's parents died when he was a todd. He then stayed with his aunt and uncle who likes things of their own. Two tv's,two bathrooms and evn if they can, two Maniac. Maniac is really not Maniac. His real name is Jeffery Lionel Magee. He ran from Holidaysburg. He ran almost about two hundred miles and landed in Two Mills. There, East and West were seperated by blacks and whites. West for the White and East for the Black. They don't want to live together but why???Nobody crossed the lines between them. The blacks are not allowed to cross over to the white and the same for the White. But Maniac didn't know this because he was new here and he crossed the line. There he met Amanda Beale and Mars Bars the baddest, biggest kid in the East end. He is kinda of a bully. How the name Maniac got stuck to Jeffery is because he ran so fast than any other living creatures there is. people call him that maniac kid and that is how he got Maniac Magee as his name. I can't wait for Jerry Spenilli' latest book. My class would enjoy it.

Summary: Maniac Magee
Review: This book is called Maniac Magee. It's about a 12 year old boy named Jeffrey Lionel Magee. Jeffrey was living with his aunt and uncle, until he got kicked out of school and ran way. He wanders into Two Mills Pennsylvania or also called "the west end." There is also the east end, which is where Jeffrey is from. Each end is called different names because the colored people and white people are not allowed to be with each other, so they live separated. Even though he can't go on the colored side he did anyway. After the colored people started to notice him they also noticed he ran extremely fast. He runs everywhere around the west end and never gets tiered. He meets a new friend and she invites him over after she's done with school. But when her dad goes to take him home he finds out that Jeffrey doesn't have a home, so they take him to their house and let him stay there. After a while he leaves "for a certain reason" and finds new "homes." "Will the colored people accept his presence?" "Will he ever go back to the east side?"
I would recommend this book. I would because this book has good detail, once in a while it will have thoughts and feelings that come from the characters. This book is cool also because it shows how one person can make a difference. I think is should be read and could be read by both girls and boys.
