Summary: The Wonderful Adventure
Review: Maniac Magee by Jerry Spinelli tells a story about Jeffrey Magee. Jeffrey is 11 years old, he lives in Pennsylvania. His life was unlucky because his parents died, then his aunt and uncle argued over him. He ran away and he didn't have a home. When Maniac showed up at Two Mills, he hoped to find a home.
When he first showed up in Two Mills, PA, Maniac meets Amanda Beale and they become good friends. Maniac asks Amanda questions then he goes to her house and lives with Amanda and her family. Maniac also goes to in the bath with Amanda's brother and sister, Hester and Lester, they like Maniac a lot. Then Maniac helps take out Cobble's knot. There was a big knot and Maniac Got the knot out. Maniac also went to the block party and, because he was white,a man told him to go where he belonged. Maniac was upset and he left. Then Maniac went to the zoo. Grayson finds him and invites him to go and live with him at the YMCA. Then Maniac and Grayson move to Bandshell Blvd. They celebrate Christmas together and they give presents to eachother. Then in the morning Grayson slept in and the heat was not on, breakfast was not made. Grayson was dead.
I like that people were caring and offered to let Maniac live with them. I also like that in the book Maniac became friends with Amanda and people asked him to un-knot things for them. I dislike the McNabs house because they did not take care of it and they have bugs and cockroaches in their house. They also play football in their house. I also dislike that Grayson died because he was so kind to Maniac.
I recommend this book to people who like fiction books, because you will really enjoy it. I recommend that ages 9 through adults read this book because you will like it and want to read it again and again. I think you would like the end, too. And the whole book because it is funny and exiciting and has sad parts, too.

Summary: The Best Book Ever!
Review: I thought this book was good. Maniac's parents died from a trolley ride. He roames all over the towns. Then he stayed with his Aunt Dot, & Uncle Dan for a very short time. His Aunt and Uncle brought him to his school chorus concert. Then he escaped after the concert. He met a girl named Amanda Beale,she let him borrow one of her books. Then returned it. Since she saw that he really didn't have a home, he moved in with The Beales. He left.Then moved with Earl Grayson, then he died. Then he moved in with Mars Bar, not for long. Then he finally stayed at the Beales.

Review: This is about a boy that lived in the west end.His mom and dad died when he was 3.His aunt Dot and uncle Dan took care of him,but they got 2 t.vs,2 beds and 2 every thing so Maniac ran away to find a new family that would love him. He went to the east end and he found the Beales.They had a mom a dad and 3 kids.One of them was named Amanda and they had twins.

Review: I think the story was pretty good. The story is about a boy named Manica Magee and when he was a baby his parents died in a high speed trolley crash.Manica was then brought up to his Aunt Dot and Uncle Dan house but they had two of everything so he left. Later on he mets a girl named Amanda Beale and she has a suitcase that mostly has her books in it, Manica ask if he could borrow a book but Amanda doesn't want to so Manica keeps on bugging her so Amanda is late for school so she throws him one and runs to school. Next Manica meets a boy named Mars Bar and doesn't like Manica so he bullies him but a lady sweping outside caught Mars Bar so Mars Bar stops. The next time Manica sees Mars Bar there is no lady or person outside execpt Manica and Mars Bar and Mars Bar ripes Amanda's book and then Amanda comes on her bike and sees what's happening she sees the book riped in half and says that Mars Bar did it and Mars Bar is blaming Manica but Amanda knows so she brings Manica to her home.Manica has dinners at the Beales and Mr.Beale drives Manica home but when Mr. Beale ask him where he lives but Manica says he doesn't live anywhere he stays at the Beales house.Later on Manica runs away and he goes meets a guy named Grayson and he teaches Grayson to read and stuff and on Chrismas day Grayson dies.Manica then goes to a place and there is a man called Giant John then after a while Manica leaves and goes to the Beales house.

Review: I thought the book was OK. I didn't love it but I didn't hate it.
The book was about a boy whose parents were killed in a trolley accident. he runs around looking for a good home. He lives with a lot of different people:Uncle Dan and Aunt Dot, the Beales, Grayson, and the McNabs but he ends up living with the Beales and he is happy.
This book made me think of what it would be like to be homeless

Review: I really liked this book.
There was this boy named Jeffrey Magee. His parents had died in a big trolley accident so he had to live with his Aunt Dot and Uncle Dan who unfortuneatly didn't get along so he ran away. He met this person named Amanda and lived googd with her and her family. Then a man named Earl Grayson found Maniac. Maniac met lots of black and white people. This book talks about his adventures with everyone and how he finds a home.
This book made me think of the color barrier alot. But I think right now there is no color barrier. Thats great if there isn't!

Review: I thought this book was so-so.Maniacs parents died in a trolly falling into a river and drowning.After he lives with his aunt dot and uncle dan.They hate sharing they will fight over anything they even fight over Maniac.Finally Maniac runs away and finds new friends .He meets alot of real nice,kind,caring and helpful people along the way.Maniac meets grayson he helps grayson and grayson will teach Maniac some baseball. This book made me think of what it would be like with no parents.It also made me think what it would be like to run away and it made me yhink if I have any true friends.
