Summary: It is a great book about a boy and his wonderful dogs.
Review: The author Wilson Rawls created a masterpiece. About a boy and his willingness to earn enough money to get the dogs he wanted. Then for him not to tell his family and go into town and get them. Then to get them and train them how to hunt. His Grandfather showed him what to do. Then the dogs were entered into a hunting contest. Then the love the boy showed. This is a great book that everyone should read!!

Summary: This story is heartwarming and heartbreaking.
Review: This story is sacred to those of us who own and love coonhounds. It is a very heartwarming story about a boy who bonds with his coonhounds. Life can be heartbreaking. The cover on the hardback shows two Labrador Retrievers, one yellow and one black. These dogs were Redbone coonhounds. It is a SHAME that this mistake was made. As a coonhound person, I request that it be corrected.
