Summary: A Tear Jerker
Review: This is my favorite book. Wilson Rawls wonderfully describes the story of Billy, Old Dan and Little Ann, and their triuphs and tragedies. I sobbed all the way through the end, and it's a book no one will soon forget.

Summary: Where the Red Fern Grows
Review: The book Where the Red Fern Grows is very good, but it is also very sad. The book is about a boy named Billy. He is trying to raise money to buy two hound dogs. After two long years of saving, he finally has enough money. He buys the dogs and they follow him everywhere. I recommend this book to anyone who can read. It was wonderful! I really enjoyed reading it.

Summary: A somewhat sad but great book
Review: I think this book is good for people who love emotional books because it makes me feel good and sad at the same time. I would also recomend this book to people who like deep but wonderful books.

Summary: Delightful read but very sad
Review: I thought that this book was absolutley wonderful. It is an interesting and wonderfully written adventure story about a boy and his two dogs.

As wonderful as this story was, it was also the saddest book I have ever read. I cried buckets throughout the end sences. BUT this is not a reason you shouldn't read the book. It has a great story plot and great charcters.

My mother and I read the book together when I was in third grade. She used to read me a lot of books. when I was little. Now, being older, i enjoy writing nonsense stories of my own in my spare time, and writing sad sences is a favorite pastime of mine. I think it might have been because of this book.

Overall, I certainly recomend this book to all who enjoy good literature. Sixth graders at my elemtary had to read this book, and our teacher has to let kids go outside to sob at the end. Anyway, sobs or no sobs, this book is a must read.

Summary: Excellent
Review: Where The Red Fern Grows is and excellent book. It is full of suspense and happiness. Billy works hard to fulfill his dream of having a dog. Billy's love for his dogs is so compelling because he takes them hunting every time he gets a chance. Billy even walks through the woods to pick up his dogs to take them home without shoes on. He didn't tell his parents where he was going so they were worried, but when he got home they were happy. I can't tell you how good this book is, so let Wilson Rawls. If you have ever had a dog or wish you did, you should read this book.

Summary: Great for all ages
Review: I teach fourth grade and have already read this book to both of my classes this year. I can honestly say that all of the children were touched by this amazingly beautiful story of friendship and love. It's a great book to use as comparison with the movie. It showed my students that there is more to good entertainment than sitting and watching the television all day. They realized that using the imagination and getting lost in a good book can be just as entertaining if not more so. I also used this book in a second grade classroom and children at that young age were just as deeply touched. I recommend this book to people of all ages, children and adults alike.

Summary: simply everything you could want in a book
Review: This book is without a doubt the most phenominal book I have ever read. The first time I read it, I fell in love with it. I think I've read it twelve times. I'll never get tired of Old Dan and Little Ann. The story is so touching and adventurous and loving and heartbreaking all at the same time, you can't help but feeling like a wet towel when you are done. You get so involved. I recommend this book to anyone of all ages. If you don't, you will be missing out on one of the all time great books. Trust me, you will enjoy.
