Summary: read this book!
Review: I'm a 7th grader in Michigan and for a book report I read Where The Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls. I thought this book was really good. I liked it because it showed how a boy works really hard to train his dogs and takes really good care of them. I give this book a 5 star rating because it is really good and it is an adventure. I would recommend this book if you like adventures and like reading long books.

Summary: Captivating
Review: I thought the book "Where the Red Fern Grows" is one of the best books published today. I found it deaply emotional and gratifying. When I finished the book, I was crying my eyes out. The relationship between the boy and his two hounds goes way past just friendship. If you are in the mood for a sad, captivating book, read this one.

I could read this book a million times, and still not get tired of it! If there's one book you ever read, or buy, it should be this one. It will touch your life forever.

Summary: The Perfect Book
Review: Where the Red Fern Grows is my favorite book. Wilson Rawls takes you to a world that you never have known. His words are so discriptive that you get a vivid picture in your mind. Some books don't really get you hooked on to them, but Where the Red Fern Grows gets you hooked from the very beginning. You just can't put it down. I read it in a week. A friend of mine finished it in two days. She doesn't even really like many books that don't hook you on good enough. But she loved this one! If there's only one book that you get it should be this one! I could read this book one million times and still not get tired of it! It's the best book you will ever read!

Summary: Where The Red Fern Grows
Review: I thought that Where the Red fern Grows is a VERY emotional book. At first Billy worked two long years raising money to buy hounds. Then after he gets the dogs he trains them and they grow closer together every day. One of the dogs defends Billy from a lion. The lion cut the dogs belly and his stuffing falls out. The other dog dies because of heart-brokeness. The book was good from beginning to end. Where The Red Fern Grows is a animal lovers book, even for people who don't Love animals. I'm not the best animal person but I think that in this book everyone has a thing to love about it. When somebody asks for a good book, I show them a great one

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Timeless Classic
Review: Perhaps one of the most timeless pieces of young adult literature that exists. I re-read Rawl's poignant tale every few years so that I may discover a new nuance or nugget that I may have missed. The reader connects to the characters, whether canine or human, with stunning clarity that provides for a powerful experience.
