Summary: I love this book :)
Review: This is one of my favorite stories I've ever read. I feel like Billy, Little Ann, and Old Dan are my friends. Mr. Rawls keeps you on your toes the whole way through the book, which makes the hours spent reading worthwhile. My two favorite authors are Mr. Wilson Rawls, Where the Red Fern Grows, and Janet Teeple, The Color of Courage, which I see is available on Amazon.com. Both stories are wonderful additions to my library of over one hundred books. I'd recommend both books to anyone in the world. It is not a chore to read these books - it is an opportunity.

Summary: Awesome book!
Review: Where the Red Fern Grows is an excellent book. Probably one of the best books ever written. I give it five stars. The book is written by Wilson Rawls. The story takes place in a rural area during the depression. The main characters are a young boy, about 11 years of age, and his two hound dogs. The book is about the relationship between the boy and his dogs. If you are one of those people who like sad books then this one is for you! It's a real tear-jerker! I read this book and when i got done with it I had streams of tears rolling down my cheeks. This is a really great book. I highly recommend that you read it. The movies good too!

Summary: The Best Book Ever
Review: Just recently, I read the book Where the Red Fern Grows. It's about a boy who lives in the Ozark Mountatins with his parents and sisters. One day, he decides that he wants two hunting dogs. It takes place during the Great Depression, when many families are very poor, including his own. Since his family can't afford two dogs, he starts collecting money. After two years, he has enough. I enjoyed this book because it teaches kids about loving your family and responsibility. Even though though this book isn't new, it is the best one I've ever read.

Summary: The best book I ever read!!!
Review: If like stories of a hunting and dogs this is a great book. I read it in two days, I just couldn't put it down. Its a book that I guarantee you will love and wish there were more books like it, it is better than "Old Yeller." It is a book that makes you wish you had that child hood and love with your dog/dogs. I would recomend it to anyone that likes a good book.
It is more than a 5 out of five scale I would give it a 10 out of 5 scale it is just awesome. Please read it and you will love it to. Happy reading!

Summary: The unforgettable, touching tale of a boy and his dogs...
Review: ... This story is about a boy who wants so badly to have two coon-hunting hounds. He gets his hounds, two beautiful red-bone hounds, the intelligant Little Ann, and the muscular and speedy Old Dan. Now, by saying that Billy (the little boy in this story) gets his hounds, I'm not giving anything away 'cause it's pretty dang obvious that he gets 'em, otherwise, what would be the whole point of this story? And also, Where the Red Fern Grows does not deserve a sequel, because this story is a one-book saga! Mr. Rawls also described the background and the dogs very well, as well as when Billy was chopping the "big tree". Anyway, this book was astoundingly written, and the emotional and saddening end seriously got to me. Get this book, get this gold.

Summary: Where The Red Fern Grows
Review: Where The Red Fern Grows is a great book. This book is about an old man thinking back to his childhood. As a child he has always wanted dogs, so he raised up enough money for two coon dogs. He delivered the money but had to wait three weeks. So, at night when everyone was asleep he escaped home. When he got to the department store he picked up his dogs and made a new friend while he was there. He didn't have much time because he didn't want his family to worry about him. On his way home it was pretty rough. He got into a couple fights. When he got home his whole family was shocked to see him.
He had decided that he will train the puppies at their young age and once they get older he will go coon hunting with them. Well, time went by and his dogs got old enough for coon hunting. He went out and found an ad on a coon hunting contest. He showed his Grandpa and Dad it and they let him go, actually they went with him. Will he win or lose? I guess you'll have to read the book to find out.

Summary: The best book I ever read
Review: This book took me in on the first page. It was the first book that ever made me cry. I got so attached to the characters so that whatever happened to them, felt like it was happening to me.I had to read this for school. I am in fifth grade and though this book was an assignment, the last thing it felt like was homework. If you read this book, then you are a very lucky person.

Summary: Where The Red Fern Grows, the best book ever
Review: When I read this book for the first time it made me cry. This was one of those very special books that you feel like they could have a million books in the series but the story still wouldn't have really ended. When I finished the book I wondered why it had to end that way. I have read it a ton of times but at the end that strange emotion comes over me that makes me feel so sad Billy had to lose his dogs that way and i just cry and cry. I wish i cuold talk to Wilson Rawls and tell him how many kids see me with his book and say how much they love it. In conclusion i want to thank Wilson Rawls for giving people a wonderful story that goes straight to everyone's heart.

Summary: Determination can Overcome Anything
Review: A Review By: Adam
The story is about a young boy that really wants to hunt. One day when he is out in the woods exploring like he always like to do he came across an area were some fisherman where fishing. There is were he found a magazine with an for sale advertisement for two young hunting dogs. After that the story is about him getting his dogs and the fun and tragedy and comes with it.

The story Is a good book. It is very detail and makes you want to read it over and over. You are able to feel their pain that they feel and your hurt when their hurt. The book is a very emotional book. Many others that have read the book have cried at or about the ending. At times the book can be slow but that's ok. You still want to keep reading. The ending is sad but suitable for the story. It shows that not all stories can end on a good note.

I would recommend this book to about everyone. Even if you don't like to read or if your not into the whole emotional stuff. The book is long but it does go by fast. You don't feel like your reading much but then the book is done. I think that all people will enjoy this book, I know that I did.

Summary: TRUE LOVE AT ITS FINEST
Review: A simple story about a boy and his dogs? Yes. But so much more. This book shows the love of a family, the love of two dogs, and the sacrifices involved. It has brought a tear to my eye (okay, more than one - a box of kleenex worth!!!) since reading it in elementary school. I've read it numerous times since then, and it touches my heart each time. My most recent purchase of it is my third or fourth copy - it's one that gets read and worn frequently!

It's suitable for readers of almost any age, although there are some scenes that might be difficult for readers under 9 or 10 (wild animals attack and injure the hero of the story, and the end is extremely emotional) it's beautifully written, a brilliant and touching story, and a must read for anyone who recognizes the bond between man and animal - and between animals with each other!
