Rating: Summary: Where the Red Fern Grows Reveiw Review: I thought Where the Red Fern Grows was a excellent book! It is about a boy, named Billy, that lives in the Ozarks of Oklahoma. He has been wanting two red blood hounds for a long time. He found a ad in a magazine that had two hounds for $50. He saved the money by working everyday. When he got them he trained them to be the best hounds in Oklahoma. They have a lot of deadly adventures in their hunts. Some that could have killed all of them. Little Ann and Old Dan (hounds)get in a fight with a huge mountain lion and it turns out to be a sad ending. Saving someones life can cost yours but it is the love and the thought that counts. 3BRS

Rating: Summary: a wonderful heart warming book Review: Near the end of our 7th grade year we read the book Where the Red Fern Grows. Our class ,including me, loved it so much that we watched the movie. This book makes us cry and laugh. Books that do that have a wonderful power unknown to man. When you read the book it feels like you are actually Billy and that you go through all of the pain that Billy goes through. I loved it so much I am going to buy a copy for myself to enjoy. Billy gave me the strength to do anything and keep on trying. I really enjoyed this book because all the simile and the methaphors also the personification. All of this gave the story a little extra spice. Where the red fern grows has a wonderful impact on your life. It will amaze you on how you look at the world again.
