Summary: My View
Review: I really enjoyed this book! It keeps you wanting more especially at the end. The author was very descriptive throughout the book. Also it was much better than the movie. Sometimes I wonder why do they always have to make the book and movie different? Well, anyways the book was still good. it made me cry all the way through the book! Once I saw that red fern it was so beautiful, I wanted to see one myself. I could never have that much ambition like the boy Billy does in the book it's overwhelming! I had to read it for school and every Monday we would read in class. Except we were only allowed to read so many chapters. So if we finished and were curious we couldn't read ahead which really bugged me.I wish I was living back then when you had to find fun and play in the woods. You would know were you were going always and never get lost. All those pretty summer nights too, and clean air.I talk like this because thoughout the book I felt like I was there with him and sometimes I wish I was. So basically it was a great book. 3LMN

Summary: Excellent Story About a Boy and His Two Dogs!
Review: Billy and his family live in Oklahoma Ozarks. Billy, ever since he was a little boy has always wanted two dogs- hound dogs only. He wants his dogs to be hunting dogs. The bad part is that Billy's family is too poor to afford two dogs right now. Billy is determined to get the hounds. He finally gets the dogs two years later, and then the training begins. Old Dan and Little Ann, the two hounds, are the best hunting hounds in the nation. Just when everything is going good, a horrible tragedy occurs, leaving Billy devistated and the reader in tears.

Where the Red Fern Grows is one of the best children's novels that has ever been written. The reader discovers the powers of love, sorrow, and what how important being determined can be. The reader becomes so close with the characters, it's as thought they were with them. This currently my favorite book. This book is great for everyone!

Summary: GREAT
Review: In this book I liked the details, it relly makes you understand more. Wilson Rawls uses the best details than any book I've read. He uses personification and simile when discribing things.
My favorite part of the book is when Billy is at the depot in the city. I could just know how it would fell to work so hard to own two dogs, not just dogs hunting dogs.
I give this book a five star rating because of how it seems to pertan more to young adults...

Summary: Where the Red Fern Grows
Review: An amazing story of loyalty, friendship, and sadness. This is about a boy, Billy, who has a dream to hunt the Ozark Mtns with his own coon hounds. Soon he develops a special bond with his dogs. A bond shared by his Grandfather and family. It is a classic adventure of how a boy and his dogs make memories that will last forever...memories of joy, frienship, and trust. Hunting with his dogs were the happiest days of Billy's life. The dogs' devotion to Billy was so strong they gave their lives to protect him. Their loss though painful allowed Billy to understand the true meaning of love. For where his dogs lay there grew the red fern and he knew his dogs would be safe. All of these memories and experiences are put together to create the touching story of Where the Red Fern Grows.

Summary: A bond between two dogs and a boy.
Review: Where the Red Fern Grows is a story of love, heartbreak, and a boy's love for his hound dogs. The setting for this eventful book is in the Oklahoma Ozarks.A young boy long for two hound dogs, but with his family being so poor it was not afordable. Billy Coleman works for two years and saves every penny to buy the hounds. When offered a ride to Tallequah he passed, and walk the barefoot the way to meet his dogs a few days earlier.
Troughout the years Billy and his hound dogs built a strong bond that no man could break. While dealing with the pressures of being poor and jealousy from other kids, he stays grounded with his faith in the power of God. Altough he has to deal with the pain of losing his dogs he comes to terms with it and accepts it. In the end Billy learns the true meaning of the Red
Fern. All in all Where the Red Fern Grows is a wonderful, enchanting story and I recommend it to any and everyone.

Summary: My oppinian of "Where the Red fern Grows"
Review: This books deserves 5 stars because it was an awsome book. It had many detals and plenty of elaboration. It also had life long lessons in it. It taught me that what you give is what you get and to always persevere to get what you want. I really enjoyed the reality in this book. It had real problems that many people have had to deal with it. I also really liked the morals of the story. Wilson Rawls wrote one of the best books i have ever read. 5HBB

Summary: THE best yong book for kids
Review: I believe this book should be on every teachers bookshelf. In this book the focus on a young boy wanting two hunting dogs keeps you guessing the whole thing. Billy and his grandpa keep trying to prove that Little Ann and Old Dan are the best. Althout Billy has hade some bad situations conserning the prichard boys, Billys grandpa still talks him into entering Little Ann and Old Dan into a contest where Billys dogs prove they ARE the best.
But every good exited book has a big sad part, in this book that big thing is that after Billy erns his dogs they....Well I'll let you find out.

Summary: Where The Red Fern Grows
Review: One of the big reasons I think it was a five star book was because I have something that relates to the book. See my dog died recently and it was an unexpected death. Billy would have never thought that his dogs would have died and that is the same with me. Also i think it is easier to understand a book when u can realate to it in a certin way. That helps me to read the book better when i can relate to it.
