Summary: bored yet intrigued
Review: I didn't think this book was very "eye-catching", but it is very detailed. I got bored at some parts of the book, but since it is so goodly written I was intrigued to know what would happen next. I would say this is a good book to try out, but It isn't a type of book I would read again. I enjoyed this book because the story was complete and the plot was easy to understand.

Summary: What I think about this book
Review: I thought that overall, Where The Red Fern Grows was a good book. It was not one of the greatest books i've read but I would reccomend it to anyone who is in the mood for a good book. This book had certain parts that had great details and lots of action. These parts kept me interested. I first read this book in 5th grade and i thought it was alot better the second time around. This book was about Billy's adventures, his love for his dogs, and the courage and determination he has throughout his adventures. Billy's love and determination is only one of the things that I think made the book good. I think that many of us can relate to Billy and what he was going through. I think that this is a great book for anyone that is interested in action, adventure and a little bit of sadness. If you read this book I think you yourself are in for an adventure.

Summary: Where The Red Fern Grows
Review: This book was really good I enjoyed it a lot! The begining was kinda suprising that someone so young can get something they want if they're determined enough and if they try. The ending was really touching and the relationship Billy had with his dogs was wonderful and I think if someone has a dream they should go out and try to complete just like Billy's dream of wanting a dog now I know that if I try hard enough and believe in myself I can do whatever I dream.

Summary: a great book to read again and again
Review: In my personal opinion, This book teaches many lessons for everybody. One such example is that hard work will get you many good things out of life. This Book is also very emotional (meaning that you will probably want to cry when you finish the book). One thing you should probably know is that in the book Wilson Rawls uses the word 'coon'. Don't worry - this is an abreviation for racoon. Another very interesting fact is that this book is based on a true story (probably Wilson's).

Summary: This Book Sucked
Review: This was the most BORING book I have ever read. It's amazing how much a person can bable on about a single topic. Sometimes talking about one thing and only one thing is a good thing but in this case it's a bad thing! The author keeps rambbling on about how wonderful the dogs are and how Billy grows up so quickly, but the main point is that WE DONT CARE!!! The dogs can die (which they did)for all we care! Sure it has a touchy sweet side to it about a boy and his dogs but other than that I find it pointless to waste time reading this book.

Summary: The Best Book I Read This Year
Review: Where the Red Fern Grows is the best book I read this year. This book is about a boy and his two coon hunting dogs that have a lot of exciting adventures together. I like this book because it teaches you many different lessons. The good thing about this book is that you don't have to be a dog lover to enjoy reading this book you can dislike dogs and still have fn reading this book. I rated this book 4 stars because it teaches you that hard work can be rewarding and it tells you about the life of a young man hunting for coons with his dogs.

Summary: Where The Red Fern Grows
Review: I liked this book because it deals with hunting and I am a hunter myself. It was exciting when Billy, his dad and his grandpa went on a championship coon hunt. It was hunters at the championship that had a better chance of winning than Billy did. The whole book was suspenseful because you never knew what Billy was going to happen and they were always getting into trouble. I liked when Billy went to town to get his puppies that he always dreamed about. His dream was about to come true when he got to the big town. When Billy was walking back home with his puppies, he caried them in a sack and their little heads and feet kept on poking out of the sack.

The most exciting part of this book was when Billy and his dogs went over to the Pritchard's and hunted the famous ghost coon. It was Billy and his dogs got on the trail of the ghost coon and they trailed him for hours. The ghost coon finally ran into a tree that was the place that he always semmed to disappeared from the dogs. Billy's dogs didn't give up and they kept circling under the tree. The ghost coon climed out onto a branch and then walked a fence and went into a hollow tree. Little Ann found the coon and let out a bawl but Billy didn't want to kill the ghost coon. He wanted the other hunters to have a chance at the coon. the Pritchard boys had a dog and it came to where Billy and the boys were hunting. Thier dogs weren't supposed to be there because they don't hunt well with other dogs. The Pritchard's dog got in a fight with Billy's dogs. One of the Pritchard boys grabbed an ax and was going to kill Billy's dogs when Billy was trying to catch up with him. The Pritchard boy was running and he fell and the ax went into his stomach. It killed him.

One of the most vivid parts of the story was when billy found the magazine that had the article about dogs. He read it and he saved up enough money to buy the dogs. Another vivid part of the story was when Billy was at the spot where he first found the news article about the puppies. He hadn't named his puppies yet. On the tree Billy found the names of Dan and Ann carved with a heart around them. billy decided to name his dogs Little Ann and Old Dan by adding little and od to the names he found carved in the tree.

Summary: The Perfect Pick
Review: THE PERFECT PICK

Although I love many books, Where The Red Fern Grows, is one of my favorites. I know you're probably thinking what a childish book, but is by a great author named Wilson Rawls. This book is. grown up. I have many reasons why someone should read this book but here are three reasons or four reasons why someone should read book. The first reason I like this book is because it is a great book. For example, if you like to read or hunt like me, you will definitely love this book. I also love dogs, and if you love dogs and adventure, I still think this is the book for you. Another reason I love this book is because of the internal and external conflict. The example I gave here shocked me. It's like when you fight with yourself and other because it makes your life your life. Next I can relate to this book. I can relate to this book like Billy because I know how hard it is to hunt and save a dog from drowning. Finally I like this book because every character and detail make this book come to life. What I mean is the author wrote it so well that it makes the book seem lifelike. The next time you're in a library or anywhere around books, pick this one up. You'll love it so much you'll make it part of your own library. I did!

Summary: book of the century
Review: My favorite book in the world is Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls .The book is my favorite because of the very descriptive words Mr. Rawls uses in his novel. Throughout the novel the author inserts so many adventurous stories. An example of this would have to be when the boy and his dogs, Old Dan and Little Ann, are coming home . They encounter a huge mountain lion ,and the boy has to use an axe to stop the mountain lion from killing his dogs. The book also shows the importance of friendship and patience. An example of friendship in the book is of the boy and his two dogs. They have to work together when they go coon hunting in the forest. An example of patience is when the boy has to train the dogs to coon hunt. I think everyone should read one chapter of Where the Red Fern Grows because I think more than likely, they will read more.
