Summary: A book that I didn't like
Review: Where the Red Fern Grows is a poor book, in my opinion. It was okay the first time I read it in the 4th grade, but now in the 7th grade when I read it, I didn't like it. It wasn't really intressting, exept for the parts when Billy and his dogs went hunting. I really didn't like the part of the book when both dogs died, just like that. Then the family cried a little bit and the next Spring they didn't really act like they were sad. I didn't think that was very realistic.

Summary: Where the Red Fern Grows
Review: This story is about a boy and his adventures with two dogs. It takes place during the Depression years. Most people were poor then, and Billy worked hard to get the money to buy his hunting dogs. He trained his dogs to be two of the best coon hounds in the region. The story is exciting and teaches a good lesson about hard work, love, and devotion.

In the end, Billy hunts his last time and they end up with fighting a mountain lion. That is why I rate this book: 5 stars. Summary: The Best Book I Have Ever Read
Review: The Book, Where the Red Fern Grows, is the best book I have ever read in my entire life, or at least the most interesting. It is about the everlasting love of a boy named Billy for his two hounds called Old Dan and Little Ann. At the beginning, he has hound fever and he works hard for two coon hounds he saw in a ad. This teaches you a lesson for later in life: Hard work and cooperation is very rewarding in the long run. It's nice for people that love stuff about hunting and that love dogs and tearjerkers!
