Summary: Good, but not great
Review: I really liked this book, and because it's a fast paced book, I finished it in an afternoon. Even though it's funny, it was disappointing. Because she's over in the palace, a lot of the fun characters are missing - mainly Lana, Lilly, her mom, Mr. G., and Michael. Yeah, she talks to everyone but Lana, but it's not as funny as when she has face-to-face conversations with them. The one thing I've noticed other people saying is that Mia has become superficial and shallow. She really has, throughout the entire book she keeps talking about how much she loves Michael, even more than family. And the fact that she stole for him also bothered me. The funniest thing in the book is the ongoing talk of parking meters. Overall, this book is good, but not as good as most of Meggin Cabot's books.

Review: I don't get why everyone didn't like this book. I thought it was the best so far! The Jane Eyre thing was funny, especially how it didn't do anyone any good. Lily was fantastic and Micheal was a great guy. You can't go wrong!

Summary: PD 4- good but not great
Review: I am a huge fan of Meg cabot and love all of her works. i thought PD 4 was pretty good. the first 80 pages were extremely uneventful. when she returned from Genovia, the book started to get interesting. Mia is a bit ridiculous in this book- making up reasons for michael to dump her. i thought that only the end was good. the rest of the book was alright. i just dont know where meg went wrong... this book came second in my princess diaries rankings:
1st- PD 3
2nd: PD 4
3rd: PD 24TH: PD 1
this book did not compare to book 3, but came close with book 2. it's definetly worth reading but will put your mia spirits down compared to PD 3.

Summary: Great Book!
Review: I have to admit it was the worst book of all the series. Half the time Mia talks about loving Micheal. Trust me I really don't care. I've read Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging and even Georgia didn't talk that much about her man. Grandmere was her usual self and it is very amusing. I was suprised that Paolo was not in the book. And Lily was basically only in one part of the book. I still love the way Meg Cabot writes and I can't wait until she makes a fifth book.
It was funny about the Jane Eyre thing and I wonder if it works. I loved the part when Mia goes to the Chanel store because Chanel is so cool!
I hope to read more of Meg Cabot's books in the fututre and can't wait 'til the fifth book!

Review: I absolutely love the "Princess Diaries" series. I am a young adult librarian, and recommend Meg Cabot's books to all my patrons, young and old. I also buy copies of the books for myself. Mia is such a wonderful role model for young women! I remember in Princess in the Spotlight, Mia wrote about how family was more important than boys. I was thrilled to find a young adult heorine with morals, values, and humor. In Meg Cabot's newest book, Princess in Waiting, Mia is...well, horrid.
She once writes that she loves Michael more than she loves her mom. Mia would never write something like that! She also said numerous times how much she loved being bossed around by Michael.
I wonder if Meg Cabot had a ghost writer write this book. Mia was flawed and annoying, and none of Cabot's trademark humor was present. Just skip this entry in an otherwise outstanding series.

Review: I LOVED this book. I was so exited when I saw this in the store.It is like Mia's other diarys,except mia spends half the book in Genovia.Meg Cabot should put Mr.G in a lot more though! He is cool!! In all the books I love how Mia acts in her writing. I think the best part is when Micheal tells Mia her secret talent is!

Summary: Princess Mia ROCKS!
Review: After spending a wretched winter break in Genovia, Mia returns home, anxious to see her new boyfriend, even though they have not been on a date yet, Michael (or as Grandmere prefers to call him "that boy"). She is tired, and excited, and worried about what to do for Michael's birthday. However, she has made a monumental decision to follow Grandmere's advice and adopt a Jane Eyre attitude and make Michael chase her. So, Mia does her best not to call him, and even delays returning calls. American life has a few other challenges for the Princess. School work, figuring out what her talent that puts her in the Gifted and Talented program is, handling best friend Lily's disgust over the movie made of Mia's life, her mother's pregnancy, and so on while still trying to have a romance and her daily Princess lessons prove to be almost more than Mia can handle. Then, Michael asks her for a first date, and life is suddenly as rosy as it gets, until Grandmere shows up at school to pull Mia out of class. At first, she thinks her dad must have had a recurrance of his cancer, then learns it is nothing more than Clarisse's excuse to take her on a shopping trip. Mia possesses nothing that is suitable to wear to a certain ball, one that happens to fall the same time as the first date. Mia moves Heaven and Earth in an attempt to get out of it, but no matter how much she complains about Grandmere, she can not let the old lady down, even if it has dire consequences for her lovelife.Will Michael understand? ... In a poll, Princess Mia ranked only third on the list, but if she were real, I think she would be the number one. This book is one that proves that adults need to take time and read kids' books every now and then. Mia is a delightful person, one that you wish could actually get in a seat of power and help run the world. She has fresh ideas and a unique perspective that is a mix of insecurity, angst, and superiority. Her fellow cast members also are a delight, especially Clarisse (Grandmere). I look forward to the next book and to the movie as well.

Summary: Personally, I've Seen Better
Review: Well, this one was a little disapointing. I don't think that it was really terrible (even if she was obsessing a LOT about Michael), but the part in Genovia was quite boring. I mean, who cares about the lack of ketchup at the dinner table? I liked the ending well enough, and things got better once Mia got to America. But really, Meg Cabot is going to have to start covering more days in her books if she wants to follow Mia through all four years of high school. At this rate, she'll need 28 books to get through!

Review: While not as good as Princessin Love, Princesss in Waiting, the forth volume in the Princess Diaries series, was still very good. It was funny and sweet, although the constant questioning of how to act in regards to Michael started to get a little annoying at the end. I love the fact that Mia loves the movie Empire Records, one of the best films of all time. Overall, the story was really nice and I can't wait for a volume five.
